I can not reach them . There web site takes me on a loop. They wont answer there phone. I stay on hold for an hour waiting then they are closed. I work nights 12 hrs and I cant get a new trash can . Ive been trying for 2 weeks. They damaged it with the collection truck.Business Response

Called to order a large dumpster to be delivered onsite. The first contract sent was incorrect and the company couldnt provide the service I requested. The second contract that was sent to me was full of inaccurate information so it was redone for a third time. The third contract came and it did not have a delivery date for the dumpster and I was told that they would let me know when it would be delivered in a couple of weeks. I am on a tight schedule and Republic Services couldnt provide a dumpster to me in my required timeframe. I was initially told that a deposit of $650 would need to be collected. My credit card information was collected and immediately charged for the deposit. Keep in mind that we had no executed contract.. when I was sent the third contract to sign I instead cancelled the contract as they were unable to provide me with a dumpster. I have been charged $650for an unsigned, cancelled contract. They refuse to refund my money or return calls or emails.What a horrible company that I hope to never have any dealings with. I reached out to our customer serviced team to follow up on this, the charge was reversed on April 8th for the customer. The representative that was working on this request normally covers residential, not large containers, and was helping out for the day. I called the customer to let them know that we do have containers available and are happy to work with them to get this resolved. I also let the customer know that their charge was reversed on April 8th. I have been a customer of ******************** for over 10 years. Over the course of those years my bill has increased 150%. They constantly miss pickups. I have contacted them multiple times and was always assured it would never happen again. It keeps happening.Business Response

Regarding BBB Complaint ********, we confirm that the reported missed services were logged via our online portal. After receipt, we arranged for recovery to occur within twenty-four business hours of receiving the notification. Additionally, as a goodwill gesture, we issued a credit of $37.55 on April 15th for five weeks of solid waste services. An email has been sent to the complainant outlining the credit amount. A refund request for this amount has been submitted and is anticipated to be processed within four to six weeks. We consider this matter resolved and closed.Initial Complaint

So, I have been trying to catch up with my bills since working . I've been paying a little at a time . I called my bank on Friday when I got off trying to see who took money out of my account. It was a collection from waste management. I paid a payment 2 weeks before, and only I owed them ***** . I didn't agree to them taking it out of my account. I thought I could call on Friday to make a payment. It was taken out, and my account was closed . They never sent me an email confirmation . They told me they would let Republic Services know, and my trash services should start back in a few days . I forgot to take the trash can to the road Tuesday morning . They never got the trash can its been here every since . Well, I called Republic Services today to see if they received that I paid my debit in full and is it OK to start back Services they said I have to pay ****** to get my services back I said that's not what I was told and so I don't have that and I told them they can come get the trash can because I was told something else and I don't have that in order to start back services. November 5 2024 I called to cancel service due to my charges nearly doubling. The invoice i had was for the months of Nov Dec and January. They told me I would need to pay for December also because that just the way they do the billing. I reluctantly agreed and paid after several emails back and forth. I was then also charged for January and a late fee for Nov and December even though they were pre billing for those months and we were negotiating charges. The Dumpster and recycle bin were left at my buisness until mid January and now I am being charged for a container removal fee. They are their containers. Why should I pay them to remove them from my property. I am refusing to pay and they are threatening to send me to collections and report to credit agencies. They are sneaky with their billing and will get away with whatever they can. I will report them for fraudulent charges if they continue this nonsenseBusiness Response

Do not use this company!!! They will lock you into a three year contract. Then in the fine print it basically says they can raise the price at any time. Less than a year after signing they jacked my rate up 30% higher! I got quotes from other companies that were lower than my original rate. Republic said they would match it only if I signed a new 3 year contract. So I did, then less than a year later they raise my rate 30% again! I said I want it lower they said they could lower it a little bit but only if I re-sign another 3 year contract. I'm not sure how this isn't criminal! My advise is stay away from this company! Don't ever sign anything with them. I will be talking to a lawyer to see how they can get away with a scam like this.Business Response

In response to BBB Complaint ********, the applicable rates, charges, and fees for services, along with the terms regarding any changes to these rates, are detailed in the complainant's contract. On April 11, 2025, the account manager reached out to the complainant and proposed negotiating the rate through an updated contract; however, the complainant ended the call abruptly. Furthermore, on April 14, 2025, a Sales Supervisor made an attempt to contact the complainant to resolve this issue but was unsuccessful. It basically says in the contract they can change the rate at any time and without reason. The call was ended abruptly on the 11th because I was told if I wouldn't sign a new contract that I am wasting my time. I received a missed call and voicemail on the 15th from ****. I called back a couple hours after the missed call and got voicemail, which I left a message to return my call. Today is now the 16th at 2:49pm and I have not received a response yet.Business Response

It appears that their staff is working from home based on children crying and dogs barking in the background. Trash service was increased by $30($97 per quarter to $127 per quarter). Called to get lower rate. They said theyd lower my rate to $75 with a smaller can. Told me to pay the $127 bill I had and theyd credit me. They only credited me $68 of the $127. Then also sent me a bill for another $122. Both bills covered the same dates of service. They charged for pick up of old can and drop off of new can (NEVER mentioned there was a charge for this) and more taxes and fees. I called to straighten it out and they were rude and told me there were new taxes and fees because it was a new invoice. I feel like I was double charged for the same time period. After going round and round I cancelled the service all together. I do not feel it is right that I should have to pay another $122 when I already paid $127 for the quarter that was supposed to be $75. I originally had called before the service period had even started to negotiate the new price. And now I wont even have their service for 2 months of the bill I already paid as they already picked up the new can too.Last person I talked to said someone from billing would call in 48 hours and gave me a case number. Thank you for reaching out. I have looked over your account and it was weird how they changed the price and size of your cart change. With all haulers, our prices do increase yearly and ask that if you have issues, to call in and did just that. I am looking into it and from what I see there are no credits issued yet for the closing of the service, which does take a couple of days. I will credit the removal fees that were issued on the account. I will keep an eye on your account to make sure all fees are taken care of. We do let all customers know about removal fees and listed on the website, but for courtesy purposes, I will credit them. Accordingly, we consider this matter resolved.

Over the past three years, Republic Sevices has only sporadically followed through with the disability services they agreed to provide in accordance with the medical form my doctor provided. Often they leave the can at street level (instead of bringing it up the driveway) in the middle of the drive. I have to stop my car, get out my ******, push the can out of the way, and put the ****** back into the car just to be able to drive up to my garage. Other times they just skip my pickup altogether . I report it every week. This activity is not only annoying, it is dangerous for me.This constant poor treatment seems deliberate as I contact them over and over again. I deserve garbage pickup just as any other paying customers. They are the only service available to me, and it appears they simply do not care about their clients with disabilities.Business Response

I have recycling services with Republic with pick up every 2 weeks. This is a service I pay for. My recycling was supposed to be picked up this past Wednesday (4/2) and the Wednesday 2 weeks prior. It was not picked up. I reported it each time and receive a notification from Republic Services that my missed pick up notice has been received and that pick up will occur in 1-2 days. No truck is sent. They missed everyone on my street and ***************** are complaining also. I have called and received a credit for the 1st missed pick up and will b calling on Monday for the 2nd. My recycling container is full. I need the pick up but it is not being done.
