My Uncle sold his home on 7/26/2024 and went in to *********** facility -There was a over payment credit on our account of $702.32 We called into cancel service on 8/1/24 and was told it would be canceled and refund issued, should receive in 2-3 weeks .WE NEVER RECEIVED THE REFUND.. when we called back in 12/11/24 to Republic Services to make sure Service was canceled and refund check was mailed for #************************************************, spoke with ****- he said they would not back date the refund and would cancel it effective 12/11/24, so Refund would NOW be $526.76 (charging us for 7/1 to 9/30 and 10/1 to 12/31 service) and it would take up to 8-10 weeks for a Refund. Even though the house was vacant and no trash pickup was needed or done by Republic- they would not back date our cancelation... This is very upsetting because the house was vacant and ****** had to be moved into a *********** Facility- by 4/2/25 STILL had not received an Refund .... So I called back into Republic, on hold 3 times for over 30 minutes each time, finally got someone and she said that service was canceled , But the Account had not been canceled and NO REFUND had been issued , she would process that Today 4/2/2025 and it would take 2-3 weeks to get the refund mailed out. This is Ridiculous and they keep giving us the run around on this account being canceled and the REFUND being issued. Very sad, since we had service with them since 2013 I am requesting a FULL REFUND of $702.32 as stated on the 07-25-2024 Billing Invoice Invoice #****-025253765 Account # **************Business Response

There is no record of a call to Republic from this customer in 2024 until the notification on 12.11.24. The last prior notification was on 05.13.21 related to a bulk pickup
Thus we had no knowledge of the home owner selling the residence & as such we continued to incur cost related to making service attempts until the date of notification.
There is a credit $526.76, sitting on the account for ****** & ******* ******, but we have no information as to a forwarding address or a phone # for the ********. If one of these individuals could reach back out to Republic in writing as to the forwarding address we would be more than willing top process the refund ASAP.

I have called and tried to cancel the service several times. The company will not cancel the service and keep giving me the running around. They said they had to send someone out to see if the business was closed and that took forever for them to do. When someone did go, they told me the person couldn't find the place. I have asked to speak to managers and to have a call back and I never get a call back. They keep charging me for a service that I no longer need and no longer want. Please come get the trash container and cancel the service. I called them at least 3 days a week.Business Response

I have not been able to contact someone at the business central telephone line or on their website through chat to give me info about their senior trash pickup cost. Two years ago I was able to obtain this information and they adjusted my bill . But they then raised the cost again and I have been trying to contact someone to tell me what the cost is for seniors. I am 79 years old. I used chat on their website and the *** said there was a senior rate but she could tell me what it was and told me I had to call their helpline. I tried their helpline on Thursday but no one answered after 40 minutes, so I disconnected. Today, 3/28/25, I called again and did reach someone after 10 minutes. But she told me she could not do anything to tell me the rate for seniors or to help me get that rate. She said I had to be transferred to someone else who had the authority. So she put me back in the phone queue. It was the same line, and I waited another 15 minutes but then disconnected. No local number anymore or local help.Business Response

Over the past 2 months we have called and reported a broken trash can wheel and each time we call they tell us they are swapping out the broken trash can. This has not happened and we have called at least 7 times reporting the same issue and they tell us the same thing. They will swap it out the following day or in 2 days from the date of the call. IT NEVER HAPPENED AND STILL IS NOT HAPPENING. I will be withholding payment until they swap out the trash can. Republic Services is a very unreliable trash service. They could not consistently pick up my trash and recycling. I canceled their service. They were supposed to come pick up their containers. When they came to pick them up, they only picked one container up for some reason. After weeks of calling them, and the container they didn't pick up sitting at my curb, it was finally picked up. They are now trying to charge me for the container that they left the first time and finally picked up weeks later.Business Response

We asked them to cancel our service and pick up their dumpster. They delayed for around 4 months and we ended up paying through Jan 2025. We attempted to not pay the ********* bills but they threatened us with turning us over to a collection agency. Discussed the problem many times with their office but they will not admit their responsibility for the problem. We just paid the bill for $322.69 just to not impact our credit rating. Would like that refunded and an acknowledge of their fault in the matter.Business Response

After research on customer **** ******** account, we are processing a refund in the amount of $322.69. The issue was created because there was miscommunication regarding a credit card chargeback on the account resulting in a $190.63 balance. Also, per our policy we normally charge a container removal fee. In this case the container removal fee was $132.06. We have credited the amount for December and as a goodwill gesture, we have also credited the $132.06 container removal fee. At this moment the complainant's account has a zero balance. Greetings, I have been trying to cancel waste service and have them pick up their carts. Want to end service March 31st. We are all paid up. I can not cancel on the web and I have been on hold on the phone for approximately 1.5 hours. I have tried different phone numbers too. The account was closed on 3/26 with a close date of 3/31. The removal of the cans were on next service day of 4/3. The invoice for the customer went out on 3/20 for 4/1 to 6/30. The customer is up to date on payments and the remaining balance will correct itself out when the next invoice is distributed. Customer is all set and everything in the desired settlement aspect of this complaint has been addressed and taken care of.

On the morning of February 20th 2025 a Republic trash compactor truck #**** drove.3 of a mile up my private driveway unauthorized passing several signs posted no outlet , private driveway . .The truck had the metal lift arm on its right side down. When it came to a narrow point in the road the claw on the right side of the truck struck my stone block retaining wall. The truck continued forward ripping down approximately 35 feet of the wall and breaking off part of the steel lifting claw. The driver drove up the roadway, got turned around then stopped short of the damage for 11 minutes. Before driving off without any notification. There is ample video from multiple angles of this incident plus two eye witnesses. It took the ****************** to get a response from Republic Services in ********** ****. The estimate to repair the damage exceeds $28,000.00 Republic Services insurance company is refusing to fix the damage. So is it ok for a lost driver to come up your driveway and bulldoze/ destroy your property and now I have to eat $28,000.00 in repair costs?? The insurance adjuster was here and took photos and measurements. He has not spoken with the FedEx driver/ witness.
I have forwarded numerous emails with video evidence to **** ****** who is supposedly a supervisor at Republic who came here the day after the incident. He took his own photos. I forwarded *********************************************************************************** addition I have sent 20 emails with descriptions of the incident along with video footage from different angles to ******** ******* at ***** insurance. Then **** *******, ******** Aguilars supervisor from ***** , insurance contacted me and requested all the same information/ videos that I had already provided to the three previous people. I have spoken with CCMSI multiple times over the past 7 weeks and I get nowhere. They keep moving the goal post. Asking for more information ( most of which they already have) or they have to talk with someone else at Republic or CCMSI and get back with me. They tell you they will call you right back and dont. Then its days or weeks until you get someone to answer the phone.
It would lead a reasonable person to believe that they are being truly disingenuous about trying to resolve this issue. In short they are jerking me around.Business Response
