1) I have had a 64 gallon garbage can at my house for weeks, when i should have had a 96 gallon garbage can. I was being charged for the 96 gallon one. I had to call Republic 5 times and it took multiple months for them to give me the 96 gallon can, however they HAVE YET to pick up the 64 gallon one. I have filed a complaint about this and was told they would pick it up today and they didnt. ALL I WANT IS FOR THEM TO TAKE THEIR CAN.2) They are forcing us to put our food waste in yard waste can. I have been using the can since they mandated it but the last 2 weeks they havent emptied it. It now has maggots crawling around inside of it. There has been an ever-growing number of instances in which one or both of our trash bins will not be collected/emptied on the date of service collection. On average, it happens one to two times a month. Part of the time we submit the missed collection form and part of the time we dont both and wait until the next week, hoping that they will collect it then. There is never any notice and never any apology from the company. They just continue to increase the rates and fees assessed to us for customers for services that they clearly cannot consistently provide. Generally, when you pay for a service and the service is not delivered, it is considered fraud. That is what is happening here. Further, it is immoral to take money from people and not supply the services. Based upon our calculations, and for at least six missed collections in the last quarter, we estimate that a refund in the amount of $126.04 is rightly due to us. The resolution that we are requesting for this matter is a refund to our account for $126.04 AND administrative sanctions such that Republic Services will actually perform the services that we are paying for.Business Response

My trash was scheduled to be picked up on 7/26/22. I watched the driver drive right by my house without picking up my trash. Later in the day on 7/26/22 I called Republic svs and was told it would be picked up on the next day. That was a lie. In the afternoon of 7/27/22, I called them again. I was told they have until 6:30pm to pick it up and that they will be there that day. Lie #2. It is now 7/29/22 and my trash has yet to be picked up. I have called the ********* ** trash complaint number 2 times and still my trash is yet to be picked up. This is very frustrating since I did not hire Republic svs. ******** ** forces me to use this company. Im looking forward to hear what kind of pathetic excuse they use to justify their incompetence.Business Response

They havent picked trash up in 3 weeks saying they are having mechanical difficulty! I have called and asked why another truck cant come they have no answer of course. In the meantime everyones trash is accumulating and were still expected to pay our ****!Business Response

Our bulk pickup for the Village of ************* is the Wednesday following the first Monday of the month. We placed a bulk item to be picked up and 8 days later, it has yet to be picked up. Multiples calls have been made with them stating that a pickup has been scheduled yet it is still sitting out there. Regular garbage pickup was yesterday and again, the item is still sitting there. The only thing we would like is for you to fulfill a service that has been paid for.Business Response

On 6/4/22 I called to cancel trash service because of outrageously increasing rates as well as extremely poor pickup service. I was told service is canceled and that my bins would be picked up the beginning of July. They still havent been picked up and its 7/28. They keep telling me they will be picked up next week, then they dont come and I call, they tell me next week again. Now the perspective date is 8/5 or 8/6, I couldnt understand the guys accent. I have a $61 charge for the month of **** when we didnt use Republic Trash Service for **** I cancelled. They never came during the month of **** and I assumed that was because I cancelled. I was unaware I had to call to report a missed pickup. At this point, Ive had the bins so long due to the lack of service, that I will need to start charging a Bin Storage Fee plus interest for all the missed pickup dates. If my bins are not picked by 8/6, I will be calling again. Please remove the charge on my account and pick up your bins. Thank you.Business Response

I am the General Manager for Precision Hardwood Flooring. I called republic on May 5, 2022 to terminate our contract with Them and have our open top picked up because we no longer needed it. I was told that they would put the request in and it would be removed within a week. Two weeks later they removed the container emptied it and returned it and charged us for it again. After weekly phone calls we were told by ****** on June 23rd that we needed to send a 60 day notice to terminate- after we had phones multiple times. We have been charged 120 a month for this container and now owe ******************************************************************* May. We need this removed and the charges reversed.Business Response

Republic Services of ***********************, since contracting the business in April 2022 to complete yard waste services, the company has failed to pick up my yard waste weekly. The service dates missed since contracting the company in April 2022 includes the following dates: 4/22/22, 4/29/22, 5/13/22, 5/20/22, 6/17/22, 7/15/22, and 7/22/22. I anticipate this will continue 'til I cancel my services, in which the company will charge me $30 per bin to pick up.Business Response

As you may be aware, there has been and continues to be a nationwide shortage of drivers. We have prioritized the collection of all trash, recycling, and organics, and have had no interruptions to these services. However, we have had to delay some yard waste routes. Republic also sends an automated phone call to our customers with the phone number listed on their account. Our records show ************** contact number is ************. Our message informs customers about the delay, and that Republic would return to collect yard waste on their next collection day.
Additionally, we will take all extra yard waste at no charge to the customers on the next service day. Our customer service team is prepared to talk with customers should they have questions or concerns with yard waste. Please note, we are still performing the yard waste service and still incur the costs to do so, such as disposal costs for the same volume of yard waste. The service has merely been delayed by one week.************** has already received credit for the first 3 misses and we will credit an additional 4 pick *** due to the delay, they will be applied on the next billing cycle for a total credit of ***** If ************** has questions or issues going forward please contact *********************** at *********************************** I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we resolve your issue.

I had trash service with Republic from spring 2012 until March 30, 2022. The last few months that we had the service were absolutely terrible! We were paying for 2 cans to be picked up weekly. Some weeks, they only picked up 1 can and left the other just sitting there full. Some weeks (at least 6 times), trash bags would fall out of the container/truck during trash transfer, bust all over the street and in my yard and they would just drive off and LEAVE THE **** in the street and my yard! I would have to be outside picking up the trash that they left littered all over my property. I was paying them for this "service"! When I called to cancel, I let the representative know that there was a problem and told her the above statements. She did not let me know that there would be any charges for cancelling my service. I left my cans by the side of the road as instructed to do in that call from March 30 until June 13 - for 75 days until they were FINALLY picked up. Now, after the fact, I am receiving an invoice from Republic Services for $93.18: A $30 charge for each can to be picked up and a $33.18 Total Fuel/Environmental Recovery Fee; when I was not advised during my call.They did an absolutely terrible job of providing "service" and they are still trying to charge me for not doing their jobs correctly and for me having to clean up after the trash people! I should not have to pay another cent to them at all. I Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone.Business Response

I have been a customer of ******************** for ********************** removal for 8+ years and due to poor service (failing to pick up trash on multiple occasions and consistent price increases) I decided to cancel my service. My service was cancelled 6/30/22 prior to the next billing cycle by calling Republic and speaking with a customer service agent. She cancelled the service and indicated when we should have the "toter" containers (2) at the curb for pickup on 7/14. The containers were picked up on 7/14 as indicated. I then received a **** from Republic for $92.72 which included $60 for a container pickup fee and $32.72 Fuel/Environmental Recovery Fee. None of these additional fees were communicated to me by Republic customer service when I cancelled my ********************** service nor was there given an option to drop off the containers to a Republic location. This appears to be a deceptive business tactic to extract more money from customers who are dropping Republic trash service. Seems I should actually be receiving a credit for the weeks when Republic did not even pick up my trash. I called Republic to dispute the charges and request a credit but even after escalating to management they would not provide a credit.Business Response
