      I love my therapist. She one of the best I've ever had, but the admin for this company is the WORST I have ever seen. I cannot get anyone on the phone ever, no one answers portal messages (except my therapist), and my husband has been trying to make a new patient appointment for SIX MONTHS and either can't get anyone on the phone, or the two times he actually managed to make an appointment they rescheduled without telling him - twice. If I could give zero stars I would. Truly awful that people can't get the help they need because the office staff is lacking so severely.

      I filed a complaint against LifeStance Health with the ******* ********** of **** ***************************** I can't believe they are getting away with DECEPTIVE billing practices and responding to all complaints with the exact same wording. I am waiting for a class action lawsuit.

      Id like to see government oversight come in and review LifeStances billing practices. They charge $100 for being 15 minutes late or no show. Youre paying them for NOTHING. Its in the area of behavioral health too, meaning patients behavior can be non-normative. If Im on the verge on a manic episode and I make an appointment with every intention to go, but my manic irregularity causes me to be late or not show up due to crying or coping with sleep, why should I get penalized a whopping fee. The only reason why I go is bc my insurance is ****** HMO and the only practice ****** HMO contracts with is LifeStance. Im trapped, if I need my prescriptions refilled. This billing malpractice cannot be right and must break some state and federal laws. With the exception of one representative, customer service is a joke - full of reps with attitudes from the start.

      This company is a joke, Two weeks ago I cancelled my daughter's appointment and we were charged $85.00 anyways and never got it back. Today I found out we were overdraft because they decided to deduct $190 dollars from our account without my authorization.I have spent at least one hour trying to talk to someone in billing and nothing. One lady told me a bunch of BS and couldn't explain what happened and why they took all of that money from the account. I'm so done with this company.

      Zero stars. After chatting a couple times with one of the therapists, I really felt no connection. Im not the entry level patient and couldnt deal with very basic (almost scripted) care. That said-ok, bad match. But the psych I saw was completely incompetent. I had an extensive evaluation done out of state and after faxing, and emailing my complete documentation 3-5 times over the course of 3 months and still I could not get this woman to read past my initial session. The night before my latest visit she finally emailed me saying there was no attachment to my email. I resent it AGAIN! The day of my visit with her I was 10 minutes late (my bad, stuff happens) but I was not allowed to start the session and was promptly charged a no show fee of 125$. When I called customer service to explain, I was hung up on. So not only, did I have a bad therapist, have to defend by autism diagnosis despite sending it to her repeatedly, but then Im slammed with a ****. NEVER AGAIN!

      I want to stress how poorly Lifestance is run. I transferred my care from Lifestance in another state and this particular office is run extremely unprofessionally and unreliable. Today, the office manager brought up lie after lie about my appointments and what I know vs whatever she felt would sound good to say. The **** Height Act, where I live, etc. etc. She stated they were cleaning house and anyone further than 20 miles was not welcome. Why was this not brought up the 10+ times *** called regarding my appointments? ******** made a call to two managers (without knowing their direct contact number) in-front of me and it was another lie and another lie, honestly just terrible. *** spent to date 8+ hours, and three different days away from my job attempting to connect with a doctor between ********** and showing up for appointments that were cancelled as I was waiting. They have billed for service that was not rendered and refused to return my money.

      This practice is not transparent when it **mes to the health insurance they accept. I asked what insurance is accepted -- my therapist provided that list and then they said it was accepted. Had this all **nfirmed through email. Later on I find that for the past 5 months, I had denied claims that weren't processed by Lifestance, and that I would owe a massive bill because they didn't tell me I had a ** pay each session. They would blame my insurance **mpany stating it was a "delay" in them processing claims when in reality it was their billing team not submitting claims **rrectly. It was a "**ding and supplier issue" It's been a year of me chasing them for an answer on how this plans to be rectified but this will **me back to you if you don't question things and I'm glad I did. My insurance **mpany was very transparent and I **uld see and have *************** into what they process. It's a unethical practice with how they bill patients.. even though the therapists are great. It's their agency that is the issue.

      Please do not use this provider. All they care about is dragging out appointments and overcharging patients. Provider we used was not caring and doesn't take parent or child concerns into consideration. As for the overcharging, for example, we have 15 minute sessions, that she was always late for and we get charged $250 for the 15 minutes and then $135 more dollars for ***** minutes. They literally go to 16 minutes just to charge the additional fee for the 1 minute (and probably not even that long because of provider being late to the appointments).In addition provider prescribed my child 2 serotonin meds at the same time because they refuse to prescribe stimulant meds for ADHD until you have gone through at least 4 rounds of non-stim meds. Well the non-stim meds gave my child serotonin syndrome (or something resembling it) in conjunction with the antidepressants and she was very ill and had to stop taking them. Instead of just prescribing the next med, they wanted to charge us $385 for another meeting to discuss how sick their treatment made my child. At this point we just found another provider who told us how dangerous their prescribing practices were and that she was very shocked that route was taken by a provider at LifeStance. My child now has another provider that is caring and concerned and has her on meds and she is now thriving. We had seen the provider at LifeStance for 4 months with no improvement and a very scary medical issue that could have been life threatening.If you need any other reasons to avoid this provider, note that it is near impossible to get a hold of anyone by phone. I had never been on hold for less than 45 minutes and up to 1 hour and ******************************************************** Their patient portal frequently does not work. Everything about dealing with this provider was shady at best and dangerous at worst. Do yourself a favor and see someone else who actual cares about patients and proper treatment.

      I want to put zero stars. I made an appointment for my son and completed all the paperwork the ***** location. The EVENING before the appointment, someone from their office calls me and tells me they are calling about the paperwork. I advised them I had completed all the paperwork for the appointment in the morning. The representative for the company then advises me they need a credit card on file before the appointment. I advise I will not be adding a credit card on file at this time. She then tells me that I have until the end of the business day to add a credit card on file or the appointment would be canceled. Therefore, it was my understanding that the appointment was cancelled. I then a receive a bill for $150 with no explanation. I contact them online and am advised it is due to no show for an appointment. I explain what happened and that they canceled the appointment and I should not be charged when they canceled the appointment. I was advised I still have to pay the $150. Do not deal with this company. This company appears to be very shady and have illegal dealings. I wish I had read all the reviews before making an appointment. This is a very crooked company.

      I was totally lied to by the scheduling *************** was told the counselor they put me with was PARTICIPATING with ********* like so many other complaints on here, THEY ARE IN FACT NOT IN NETWORK WITH ********* The staff member stated she she KNOWS they take ******** & that his patients with ******** do not pay anything.also the office is IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH & ALSO THEIR BILLING OFFICE CLOSES AT 4 PM! you can never reach anyone. the one session I had with the counselor was great, so I am very disappointed, as I cannot continue without insurance coverage & never being able to reach anyone.I had better not get billed a cancellation fee for today either. i never confirmed my appointment & wasn't able to reach anybody. first question to counselor was about ********. he stated he was told by the office mgr. 2 days ago that he is still not credentialled with ********. it is in the process, but not finalized/approved by them yet. I will be suing them if they come after me for the visit I did have & for not having the session today when I was able to confirm that he IS NOT participating as of yet with my medical insurance.
