1 starThey truly deserve zero stars due to their medical record department. Since May 2024 I have been trying to get encounter notes regarding treatment. Never answer their patient portal or return calls after a living bunch of voice messages and emails.Review fromKathryn S

1 starGreedy- they only want your money. Accounting will not answer a phone call and there are no accounting people at the offices. They charged me to fill out paperwork and provided no services. They will ruin your credit just to get paid and wont even speak to you about it. 0 starsReview fromRandi R

1 starIf I could give it zero stars I would. They lack transparency about the prices of the services. Their prices are outrageous and their staff is heavily trained to push medication on clients when they do not want it. This company very clearly abuses the mental health system. They do not care about mental health only about money and covering up their deceptive actions. I pray this company no longer exists for the betterment of all who truly seeks help for their mental health. They are abusing the system and the employees and innocent clients within it. I had one experience with them and I was floored by how deceptive the company truly is. I am still trying to speak to management and nobody can reach them. Disgusting place and horrible business intentions. If you want a traumatizing experience then this is the place to go. I feel sorry for all of the professionals that work under this company and I would never recommend anyone to resort to using them. They are the shining example of how our mental health system is being abused in our country and is all about money. I have never experienced such an awful experience with any other therapy company and I regret ever giving this place a chance without the proper research. Like I said, I pray this company comes to an end for the betterment of all who truly seek honest and genuine mental health help. I am sorry for all of the victims of this venomous money hungry company. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE AND SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN!Review fromRichard W

1 starI was a patient with Lifestance Jan, 2024 I was ask to pay a copayment of $40 per appointment for 3 months. I called them and advised them that I was not required to pay a copay. I requested a refund of the $120. The refund was initially sent to a card that was no longer active. I ask that they mail me a check. I have made several calls for a status on the refund. The last status I was told it takes it takes 13 weeks. That will be estimated Oct before I can get the check. I would like to receive my refund as soon as possible.Review fromCJ L

1 starI've been on hold for 2 hours to get someone to help me with my bill. When I log in to my account it always says I have nothing owed, so I can't pay online, but when I call to pay it always takes FOREVER to get it done. Every single month. Meanwhile, their phone recording talks about how they know "how valuable our time is". So annoying...Review fromBlake K

1 starPredatory business model. The commodification of mental illness is rampant and widespread with more and more of these ********type businesses springing up and buying out private therapy practices and turning them into mechanisms to simply take money from mentally ill people. However, out of the three of these types of therapy businesses I have tried, LifeStance by far has the most strict and unreasonable rules, terms, and conditions. It is very disturbing to me how easy it is to make an appointment online and hand over payment information, but incredibly difficult to cancel or reschedule. You cannot manage these appointments online after scheduling, meaning no cancellation or rescheduling. You must call the company on a weekday, two business days before the appointment to make changes, or else you will be charged a hefty amount of money as penalty. Their website is incredibly misleading, saying that you can cancel 48 hours ahead of the appointment, but it takes a lot of digging to learn that this information is inaccurate, since weekends do not count. So if your appointment is on a Monday or Tuesday, you actually have to give 4-5 days notice. Not being able to do so online forces patients into situations where they must pay up. I personally have ADHD and anxiety, including a fear or talking on the phone that makes this very difficult for me. Trying to remember rules and finding time outside of work to make these phone calls is immensely difficult for me. The only way to make it easier is to get therapy for my struggles, so, they gatekeep the solution as well. LifeStance needs to be more reasonable and flexible with their patients, or at least offer services that help patients manage things without being forced to pay immense amounts of money. But ideally, these types of online clinics should be outlawed entirely for the protection of mentally ill people.Review fromPatrick B

1 starI filed a complaint of employees of ************* (located in ******, *********** failing to do job properly by not returning messages on patient portal at LifeStance Healthcare app the first time. This is the only method of communication with him or his office. Doctor said not to do that instead of reprimanding them or trying to understand the situation. I let it go. Then, one night I was having suicidal thoughts due to constant prescribed medication changes EVERY ******************* from prescribed medication by him. I went to the hospital that night. Again, I used patient portal to communicate situation and of medication not working, adverse reaction, or interfering with other medications. I can only see or talk to him once a month via video conference. He constantly changes medications when they need weeks or months to get into bloodstream and work properly. A proper doctor would know this. Recorded conversation of me confronting him of the situation where he nor his staff contacted with concern stating multiple suicidal messages, begging for help. His words were, I dont know. Youre a so-called ************* patient says they were having thoughts of suicide and your reply for ********** staff not answering these desperate messages is I DONT KNOW! Tried switching doctors but suddenly they dont accept my insurance. Called and left multiple messages at corporate phone line. No one has called me back. *** seen numerous psychiatrist in my ********* is by far the WORST of them all. No tests were conducted. None of the regular questions were asked. LifeStance doesnt have a protocol or procedural evaluation of doctors practice procedures. Either that or they hired the WORST psychiatrist of all time.Review fromBrett L

1 starGot scheduled for an appointment at 8am. Showed up for the appointment at 8 on the dot and the door was locked, so I went back to my vehicle to wait a few minutes. Looked on ****** AND on the website to check hours and both claimed that the clinic didnt open until 8:30, so I waited until then, and was turned away because I was late even though the doors werent open at 8 and the site didnt claim they were open. The attendant was overall unhelpful and claimed I shouldve come up at 8:15 and essentially blamed me for this.
