Discount Tire in ****, ******** is a horrible place to buy tires from. Informed the company when we initially bought the tires in 2022 that we live on a **********. Said we needed all terrain tires. They sold us what they claimed to be a good tire. $833. We have had nothing but trouble with these particular tires. The company did offer us a deal of 2 free tires if we purchased the other two. Which I turned down. Will never be returning to this company. The tires are supposed to be ****** mile tires. They have definitely not held up to even ****** miles. We have had to replace at least 3 if not 4 of the tries. We have lost track of which tires have been replaced or not due to constant rotation/ fixed/ replacements. I dont make commission here.Is what I was being told today when they were telling me my tread depth was too low to repair. That I needed to buy 4 new tires. They did put a new but used tire to get me home. For free of charge that is close to the same size itll work. They want to make it right but at this point they have lost a customer! I used to recommend ********************** to everyone who would ask. Due to constantly having to be in for repair/replacements. Some of the guys working were pleasant. On Aug 6, 2024, brought my 2016 ******* MKX to ******** tire to have 2 tires and 4 tpms changed. First, employee brings us a grounded up lug nut, telling us they are all needing to be replaced. They used a 23/32 socket, said it wouldnt fit, so they used a 7/8 and that rounded all the lug nuts. The proper socket is a 19 millimeter, which is why all got damaged. While they were programming the tpms, they had problems. They said bring it back another day. We brought it in Aug 9. My wife brought it back. They told her they would not touch the car without replacing all the lug nuts. She had to say ok to get them to repair the car. They tried to reprogram new tpms sets, then told my wife they failed, so refunded the money for that. So now, there are lights flashing inside our car that we can not turn off and **** still not working Since they broke it, they should fix it.Business Response

Discount Tire on Red Cedar has a safety issue. I recently purchased four (4) new tires from Discount Tires. Upon returning my car keys at completion of work, I was handed two broken wheel studs and wheel nuts together with a certificate to have repairs carried out by BrakesPlus. During repair services at BrakesPlus, the store manager informed me that four (4) wheel studs had been broken by Discount Tire.The fact that Discount Tire failed to take responsibility or accountability in double checking their work, placed both myself and family members at risk.In addition, Discount Tires has a corporate culture issue with incomplete employee training, lack of checks and balances when problems occur (another 'certified' mechanic should have checked all four wheels), shifting blame to others (lack of responsibility and accountability), and ensuring that customers are not put at safety risk.After just returning from a highway trip, my vehicle is now experiencing brake fade and chatter. On 7/27/24 @ 4:38 PM, I took my vehicle into discount tire due to low pressure light. They told me they couldnt check for a low leak because my tires showed them to be worn out. (3 of 4 since one was under warranty). I paid for all 3 to get replaced with warranty. After getting into my car the gentleman told me the tire pressure light should come off in 5/10 mins. Drove to work with is 30 miles away and back home and nothing. Next day I went again. They said it wasnt reset so they reset and I should be good. Still nothing. Went again. They told me it wasnt reset probably a bad sensor on the tire that wasnt replaced. (Speculation and assumptions at this point) they told me I would need a new sensor. I asked if they were sure being that I always replace my tires there with them and it never fails the sensor is always the issue and I have to bring back and forth for them to finally get it off. So they said they would try a new one but it didnt work. They referred my to my dealer and said it was a manufacturer issue at this point. I called my dealer and they said to look at it would cost me ******. Final after over a week with driving my vehicle in a Tire Pressure Calibration settings. Not being able to see if my tires are safe for driving. I called discount and spoke with manager **** to let him know my husband had to deflate, re inflate tires and how I would be compensated. He stated why do I feel I should be, being they checked everything. That alone and not caring for my safety and the amount of money he was sending me in every direction speaks volumes. I am very disappointed. He credited me the labor but I feel my life, time with worth more than that. He couldnt guarantee my safety and to me this is a concern within its selfBusiness Response

We took our new 2024 jeep that weve only had a week to have tires and rims installed. We had the tires installed last Saturday and the rims this Saturday. We had a 9am appointment and were there promptly. They were backed up so it took a couple hours. We came back to find these scratches on a new vehicle. Immediately the guy who did this rear passenger corner was obviously waiting for us to see it and further guilty defensive stance. It wasnt there when we got there, they had our keys while we walked the restaurant behind them and had breakfast came back and this is what we find. The had the Jeep and being that they were in possession of it. This is there issue. I got te dont worry well take care of it and file the claim. I just now found out they are disputing the claim. When I told the guy taking pictures of the Jeep the tire grease on the Jeep he completely ignored me and didnt even take a picture of it. So I did. I absolutely will not accept them not taking responsibility. Its one thing to have something happen and other then putting my wife in tears we remained calm as it seemed like they were going to take care of it. Its another to lie to our face saying it will be handled then deny it once we leave. We WILL do what we have to, to make sure this is taken care of. Tis shows what thy are made of and about. We have spent$8000 therein the last 3 years ****** is how we are treated. Now t add on to it. 1 of our new tire sensors wont work. They MADE us buy new tire sensors because and I quote. We are not allowed to install old sensors. My wife went back today after work and they did something they say will work. It didnt. Now they told me we have to bring the old tires and rims back so they can put th old sensors back in. The same ones they told us they were not allowed to put in. NO FLIPPING WAY. this response is nothing more than scanned response that goes out. Its should be very simple. Thy were in possession of our vehicle not us. When they went to give the vehicle to us there was damage and there manager was already starting to ply the cover my as shame by ignoring what I asked him to take pictures of. There is the tire lube on the tires and on the jeep whee the damage is so this should be obvious, but instead of doing whats right they have already denied to the insurance company who only works for them and no other company that this damage was done. On June 15, 2024 I went into the Atascocita Discount Tire location to get new tires put on my **** F150 work truck and I spent $695.79 at this time for 3 tires. I had previously gotten 1 tire prior to this but is not affected by the circumstances for my complaint since it was not the tire that was affected. This past weekend I tried to get my brakes changed and there are 2 lug nuts that can not come off and have seized on my rear passenger side tire. Discount tire just put the tires on and you can view my history and see that I come in to keep them balanced and rotated. This is definitely a concern for safety since I am not able to change out the brakes that are in need of changed and now have 2 lug nuts that just spin and are not securing my tire as needed. I had to take time off work to go in this morning to see what the location that put the tires on could do to help me. Unfortunately, they are not understanding to this situation at all and told me they do not do this kind of work and I would have to do it myself. Consider the situation at hand, they were the ones to put the tires on and used the drill to put on the lug nuts and caused them to strip and seize without a way to get them off. The manager did not offer to help in any way and just sent me on my way. This is not professional and definitely not the customer service you expect after spending the amount of money on tires and warranty that I have. Now, I have only 3 lug nuts on this 5 lug nut tire, I can not believe he allowed me to drive off with no care for the safety that is involved. His solution was, you can fix it. I will have to take time off work to get this fixed and have the axle redone because of the bolts just spinning. I have history at this location and nothing has changed on my vehicle except the tires that they have changed. I feel they should hold responsibility to their actions and fix this safety concern.Business Response

I was at Discount Tire on 5.21.2024 and they ordered new tires spent $1,326.75. To start the day out they lost one of my tires so I had to go with different ones since they already had my tires off. Then when I went for an oil change at the dealership 2 weeks later I seen they did damage on my new Jeep they lifted it in the wrong spot. They cracked the metal underneath on one side and cracked the trim on the other side. They are saying they didn't do the damage but I know they did. They are the only ones that have lifted my car besides the dealership. I took it in for an estimate and it will cost $1,700 to fix and they are saying they didn't do it and will give me $500. I think this is total c*** and they should pay for it. I work hard for my money and now they have done damage to my car I am still paying on. They sent me a message saying that they are not responsible and they are wanting to give me $500 and my repair bill is $1,700. I have no extra money to pay the $1,700. The way that they handled this is so disrespectful to customers. They were the last ones to lift my car and they did it in the wrong spot. You can even contact *********************** in ******** ******* and they can tell you they seen the damage.

I guess contacting the BBB was useless as well. Time for Media blasting on how Discount Tire damaged my car and won't pay for it and the BBB did nothing for it as well. I went into install 4 new tires on 7/18/24 at the ******* location . Immediately after their installation, my tire pressure monitoring sensor went off At first I thought it was due to new tires calibrating but it was not . They ruined 2 of my sensors due to their installation This is the 2nd time this happened. I have another car where I installed 2 new tires June 2023 where the same location caused my TPMS sensor to go off immediately after install The Location is not taking any responsibility and I have advised them that they are responsible since there was no issues with both of my cars when I dropped them off no matter how old they are . 8/6/24 Vehicle was brought in to discount tire as I had a s**** in the tire and plugged the tire myself but just wanted to get the tire balanced. I brought the vehicle at approximately 815 AM and dropped it off to be serviced and picked up later. Discount tire called while I was at work to which I couldn't answer because I cannot have my phone on me. I checked the text update to see that the car was finished being serviced so I got a ride to come pick the vehicle up. They notified me that they balanced the other 3 wheels but not the one I requested because 1 of the studs was damaged and didnt want to complete any further work. They stated that they couldnt fix this issue and that I would have to take it elsewhere for service. I took it to the nearby ***** dealership so they could fix the issue. Upon the technician inspecting the vehicle he stated that 3 of the studs were stripped and that the wheel was almost falling off the car. This couldve occurred while driving the vehicle down the road and I couldve gotten in an accident and seriously injured. The cost for the ***** dealership is stated below $423.12 and I am just requesting that the business pay for that bill. I have submitted a claim through discount tire to have this paid and will be submitting a claim through my insurance company as well. I spend $906.05 on new tires. While they were changing the tires they broke a lug stud but they didnt tell me anything I noticed it and confronted them over the phone the same day when I got home. When I confronted them they accept breaking it and they said they would pay for it and send me to Midas car shop to get it checked out when I did I paid $55 dollars to get it inspected when I gave them the bill of damages cost. They deny breaking it because of them, they blame the previous person that touched my car and send me to corporate to file a claim but they said they did break it but that if it broke is because of the previous person that touched my car. When I drove to that shop my car was okay it just needed new tires and I end up with a broken stud and a second one damaged when. They are dishonest and sneaky trying to hide what they did to my car breaking the stud and putting me in risk of getting in a car accident sending me home like that without saying a word to me about what they did and how they broke it. The tire could of come out and potentially injure me in a car accident even worst could of kill me in a car accident. Now the cost to fix it $807.22 they are refusing to pay and send me to corporate to file a claim and they said they wanted nothing to do with me and to talk to corporate. When the ones that broke my car was their business Discount Tire they were happy to take my tire payment there of $906.05 but when they broke my car they want nothing to do with me and send me to talk to corporate for the damages they caused. Stresses me out and scares me to drive my car knowing something can possibly happen to me or others if I drive like that. When the tires were purchased in your location the rims were in good condition. Whatever damages were made during installation of new tires by your business I would like you to please fix it and cover the fees. I need a car is affecting me because I need my car for work and Im not safe driving like that is also very stressful and scary to drive my car like that. Your business helped me when the tires were purchased and paid for but when you guys broke my car you guys arent helping me to fix it. You keep sending me to places and while u send me I havent been able to have my car for work. I need this to get resolved as soon as possible please.
