      On Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 I visited the Discount Tire located at **********************************************************************There, I was met with hostility and lied to.My tires have a warranty of ****** miles. They are only at ****** miles and evenly balding on all four tires. I was told by ********, that: "You put what like ****** miles on them already - that is basically ******." To which I replied that ****** is not almost ****** and that ******* miles minus ****** miles is ******. He became quite snippy after this and expressed that he is not a human calculator and so forth. He then attempted selling me a new set for over $1,300. I asked if there were other options and I was told: "No, not that you are looking for." I again mentioned the warranty and how I was confused. He attempted taking advantage of me due to my gender and insisted that my vehicle has a mechanical issue which is simply not the case. I emphasized this as being false and he just kept asking me: "Are you sure? Are you sure?" To which I replied that he is not a mechanic and that my mechanic has never once mentioned a mechanical issue even after full diagnostics. I am reaching out to bring this behavior to your attention and also inquire or obtain the warranty in which I deserve to be honored. Following a discussion with my mechanic and him performing an in-person inspection, I decided to reach out to customer service on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024. He confirmed that based on his observations, my tires exhibit "*************." He said that had all four tires not exhibited the same balding, then, that would be deemed mechanical i.e., only on one or two. However, this is not the case. I am in need of new tires and have been since Friday. Therefore, I would appreciate it if this could be escalated. I am seeking a set of four new Michelin Defender tires at no charge to replace those that did not last the warranty.Thank you in advance for your time and attention to this matter,*************************** (*****)

      Management has already reached out to me and offered a discount. However, after speaking to my mechanic as well as a Michelin representative - I do not feel as though this discount was sufficient. In addition, damage occurred through cross threading in which was denied by Discount Tire. Therefore, they were not even able to install all four tires at the "reduced rate/discount" offered. In the past, I have even had valve stem caps stolen and not replaced by Discount Tire employees. Discount Tire has failed me time after time, but it appears that this is a standard practice. So, now, not only do I need the cross threading fixed, valve stem caps replaced, but also, all four tires installed. Please reach out for any and all additional clarification in which I can be of service.

      This is false information. Exactly three new tires were installed in which I paid for. The fourth tire that I paid for was not installed due to Discount Tire damaging and/or cross threading and not accepting responsibility for this. Therefore, my husband is having to attempt to fix and pay for Discount Tires mistake. I do not consider this an amicable resolution. The cross threading should be fixed free of charge and after being in contact with Michelin personally - I do not agree that I should have had to pay for all four tires at all. In addition, I would like to reemphasize that there are currently only three new tires on my vehicle. It is unfortunate that the information shared was incorrect.

      March 2023 I went and purchased tires from Discount Tire - Westlake Sa 07 sport tires. When I purchased the tires I also purchased the certificates on each tire. There is approximately ****** miles on these tires and last week while I was driving my car has a shake to it and when you hit a bump the car jumps. On Saturday, March 16th, 2024, I went to the Discount Tire in ******** ******** and during this visit the techincian checked out the tires and said one of the tires started "cupping" and this is due to an alignment or suspension issue. The tech and the Manager of that location said the certificates will not cover cupping. I left the location unsatisfied with the information given to me and went to the Discount tire in ***********, ********. On March 16th, 2024, around 10:00 a.m - 10:30 a.m. and made an appt. I went back to this location around 11:45 a.m. and they inspected the tires. I was NOW informed that ALL 4 of the tires are cupping (1 was slightly cupping). I informed them that I purchased the Certificates on the tires when purchased in 2023. Again, I was told that cupping issues are not covered and it is caused by an Alignment issue or suspension issue. ******* (an Employee) of this location said "I can make this right and order 4 new tires, and I will only charge you $75.00. I wasn't pleased because I know my vehicle doesn't have any suspension issues or alignment issues but made an appt. at the **** Dealership for an inspection. On Monday, March 19th, 2024, I had the inspection, writen documentation - NO SUSPENSION ISSUES. Contacted ******* at the Orland Store - "I will order 4" and confirmed the $75.00. Went to have tires installed today and they only had 3 tires and I was told "I told you 3 tires" I was told 4, and now I have only 3 installed. There is a ****** mile warranty with tires aside of from the certificates purchased. I have many complaints noted on these tires (other stores), and shouldn't have to pay for these at all.

      I am satisfied that you will reach out to the team/management to go over my concerns and complaints but I don't want the case CLOSED.  I would like this resolved in a timely matter as I have three new tires on my vehicle and not 4 and fear that these tires have the history of cupping and it will happen again.  Three new tires on a vehicle is a little crazy since the 4th one was doing the same thing.  I guess according to the location in Orland (not as bad as the others) so they only ordered 3.

      The vehicle was taken to Discount Tire for routine maintenance - the tires were to be balanced and rotated.The passenger side vehicle's tire was sunk all the way to the top of the inside of the fender and pushed all the way back to the firewall by repeated efforts of Discount Tire personnel by trying to accelerate off of the lift at Discount Tire. I witnessed the Discount employee driver continually try to drive the car off of the lift. The driver was being signaled by a guide (discount employee) to come on back and drive the car off the lift, all this time the wheel was jammed/stuck under the fender The car ****** moved not even a foot from where the car was lowered to the ground after the tire balance and rotation.After this the many tire busters gathered around my car and started jacking my car up from different places twisting the poor thing up, it looked like elves at Santa's Workshop with banging and people scooting all about. They quickly slammed my car back together and rolled my car to a parking spot. This was like " Clean up on Isle 9 broken bottle of catsup". I stood alone on the parking lot by my damaged car waiting for the tow truck for about an hour - it seemed like an eternity.I was mortified and shocked, all this while the customers in the waiting room looked on through the viewing glass.This happened at the *********, ** ************ location.

       I have reached out to the Adjusters at your ***************** You at customer service are covering up for the Corporate Adjusters.

      Please have them tell all of us what they are going to do to address this issue. The ** ATTORNEY GENERAL has been contacted to investigate this issue.

      Discount Tire has come up with a system so that BBB complaints are never answered by Corporate in **********. **************** does not have the authority to dismiss BBB compliant as trivial. You are part of a a disinformation machine. Get the Corporate Adjusters to address this complaint. More people need to contact the ** Attorney General so that Discount Tire will stop damaging out vehicles without any recourse.

      March 15 2024 I went to discoumt tire ******,** early am. I purchased two tires. I was waiting for them to bring my keys after I seen the car get pulled out and they never did, they threw them in a bin or holder. Well employee left manual in gear and when they threw the keys in bin it remote started and went over a curb down an incline and 6 inches away from going in a hotel. After struggling to get my own car out of ditch I talked to shop and they said have it checked out. I did and shop said it was fine. But it wasn't. I have around ************************************************************* ****** ********* at 12am at night. I had to get a hotel overnight till a shop opened. They could only locate one and got the other to hold air to get to next town. I made it to ******* after buying a temp from a junkyard. ******* discount did help and give me a free tire to get me home. When I contacted claims person about the continuing issues , I told them something is wrong because I've never had these issues and I travel alot and this needs to be addressed and I'm going to have another ship look at it.. the only reply was they aren't covering anything and give me ********* credit. I have lost work, perso al time, been stranded, had to find my own ride when I got car looked at. I Been stranded in the middle of the night. I just wanted to submit one more inspection because my front suspension was all brand new and now it drives funny and literally shredded the tires. I feel 200$ is a joke after what I've been put through.now I want my car fixed to how it was before the incident and I want hotel fees and temp tire reimbursed. I'm now over 500$ down because I simply had discount tire put two tires on. I have pics and some receipts till but won't let me upload on here.

      Tire Rotation and Balancing on 3/20/2024:-Damaged truck due to tire technician driving while it was still jacked up -Lied to by ***** and the other office folks, about tires being rotated. Every time I asked for them to actually rotate, he would just walk to his car and rest. - Tires were not properly balanced, rotated at all, and even the lug nuts were not torqued correctly. They did not even perform an air check on my tires. I had to do all this myself when I got home.-I came in with a perfectly good truck and left with no servicing, and a damaged truck. My rear differential is leaking, my brake lines were pulled, and I may have to replace ball joints due to the negligence of them driving with my truck still jacked up. I heard a lot of crunching while he did and he did not seem to care until I ran outside to stop him.Since I do not trust this business location one bit, I refuse to ever take any vehicles into this location. I will be getting a bill from my mechanic instead for repairs.

      I have been going to discount tires since I was 15 and my father took me there with my first car. I've been buying tires for 35 years from them-for all my cars. in December of 2021- I went in with my ******** and informed them I needed new tires -and that I travel for work and good tires are important. Today I went in because yesterday I drove 50 miles for work -and all of my tires were low on air. *** employee aired them up -but then informed me that my tires needed replacement and that I should submit for a warranty replacement, i bought them 12/2021- paid almost 1700 dollars, and bought the warranty. Apparently, neither the warranty I bought nor the factory warranty covers anything. When i bought the tires I had ***** miles on the car-today I have ***** on the car- I've driven ***** miles. *** rep said I needed to purchase better more reliable tires- and discount would sell me some. I wish they would have sold me a better more reliable tire in the first place. I think they should replace my poorly performing tires. What kind of tire only lasts 23 thousand miles, ***y should have told me.

      BBB Complaint Submission Date of Transaction: January 16th for tire installation and January 17th for addressing the issues discovered.Amount Paid: $900 for new tires, additional charges for valves that were not replaced as claimed, and an estimate of $1600 for repairs due to the damage.Services Committed by the Business: America's Tires was to provide tire installation services, including replacing the valves as part of the service.Nature of the Dispute:The dispute centers on negligence on the part of America's Tires, leading to a cracked wheel on my vehicle. Despite two prior inspections at America's Tires on January 11th and 16th, no damage was reported. However, after the tire installation on January 16th, I noticed a significant air loss due to a rusted and unchanged valve, leading to the discovery of a cracked rim the following day. This issue was not identified during the initial service, and the manager admitted that checking for air retention post-installation is not standard practice, indicating a lapse in service protocol and a direct link between their service and the damage.I have engaged in discussions with America's Tires and filed a claim for a resolution, providing evidence of the oversight and its consequences. DMy communications have aimed for an amicable resolution, proposing compensation equal to the full cost of replacing the damaged wheel based on an estimate provided by *****************************************.Documentation: I have documented the entire transaction, including the rim's initial condition, subsequent air loss and rim damage, and the store manager's recorded admission of service lapses. This documentation supports my claim of negligence and the service's direct impact on my vehicle's condition.I seek the BBB's assistance in securing a fair resolution to this dispute, which would involve adequate compensation for the damage incurred due to America's Tires' negligence.

      Hello, Today, I went to your tire shop in north ******* to get a nail replaced. I was told that my tires were worn out and that they recommended I replace them. The tire with the nail would be covered under the certificate warranty that I had purchased. However, I was told that I would my other 3 tires would not be covered. This is where some very troubling experience begins: 1. I bought these tires, I was told they would last 45K miles, but they lasted only a year or about half that. 2. I was told, that the tires have never been rotated once. But i have taken more several times for repairs, each time believing they are being rotated. Only to find out during this visit they were. not. This is poor and dangers practice not to rotate tries, when they need them, or even offer. Again, I thought this was being done. 3. I was not pracitlvy, told about the mailage warrenty, I was given the qouate and was ready to pay the full amount, until I called my husband and he informed me about the warranty. This was very deceptive on the stores part. 4. Upon, not wanting to purchase the same tire brand, I found the tires at ****** at a lower price with a promotion. The rep ******* that he could match, but would not be able to apply the store credit for the warn tred. I feel that I've been taken advantage as a woman going to to get my tires check. First by not having my tires rotated, and now being told that I need pay for 3 out of 4 tires. When really, this could had been prevented if American tires would have rotated my tires, each time I went to get a nail replaced or at least made the offer, or advised me that they needed to be roated. Which they never mentioned. I would like the ********************* tires advantage control, and not the same Koumo trires, as I do not trust them, as they did not last 45k, in part because of American tires fault. I would like ******** tries to replace my tries at no cost considering the factors mentioned above.

      Went Tuesday march 5 for blown tire. They couldnt tell me why it blown. Just replaced tire. Later day I blow another tire go back and they couldnt tell me why they kept blowing only solution was to replace tire, I take somewhere else that said its bc tires wheels too big for car hitting shock compressing it causing blow outs. Instead of having knowledge these people just replaced tire and wasted my money. I ended up having to buy smaller wheels and whole new set of tires. Wasted ************************************************* only offer to transfer warranty to tires I just put on however wont refund the **************** due to their misdiagnosis lack of knowledge and gross negligence. Put me and my kids safety at risk too .I want refund and return the tire and refund the warranty.

      I chose a Discount credit card to budget for car tires and to purchase gas while driving across the country. However, the card only worked randomly. I contacted customer service numerous times, informing them I was on vacation. I was even asked about my trip dates and when I would return home; however, the card was still not accepted at several locations. This was after I was told everything was fine and the card would work now. This was embarrassing and annoying. Please look at how many declines are on my account, how many times I contacted you, and how often I was told the situation would be corrected, including even providing my travel itinerary, and explain how this can be avoided on my next trip across the country.
