  Beware of Discount Tire in ****** on Loop 288!I visited the Discount Tire location on Loop 288 in ****** to get a tire patched that had a nail in it. After two hours they told me my vehicle was done. I drove away and quickly realized the tire had not been patched. Returned to the store and the work order only said to rotate the tires not to patch one. They pulled my truck in and then told me that they were unable to patch the tire because it was too close to another patch and I needed to buy a new tire. I told them the tires were pretty new and had never been patched and they said there was a previous patch. I told them to put the wheel back on and I would go somewhere else and they said for liability reasons they couldnt put the wheel back on so they put the spare on. I went to another tire shop that was able to repair the tire and also showed me that there were in fact no other patches or damage to the tire. This location blatantly lied to try and make a sale. Beware of Discount Tire!

  Ordered tires online. Their site said those tires were in stock. Set up an appointment to have them installed. Received two confirmation text messages. Once at the appointment was told the tires I ordered were on back order but they had other tires that are more expensive in stock. Bait and switch.

  Absolutely terrible service... I ordered a set of rims and tires from them. They called me told me they where in 9/6/2024. I go get them installed and they only had 3. So they put them on and I had one bad tire and rim still on it..They told me they where going to rush a rim to the store. I waited over 3 weeks before I heard from them . I called them they told me it was at the store. I go in again and it's not there .. so they ordered news ones todays date 11/18 /2024 my wife goes to get them installed and she's been there for over 3hrs waiting to get the new set that's already been bought and paid for 2 and half months ago . Worst place I've ever been to for service.. They do not care about customer service... Worst experience ever buying tires...

  DISCOUNT TIRE IN ROUND ROCK TX I HAVE BOUGHT FOUR BRAND NEW TIRES WENT BACK FOUR TIMES TO GET MY SUV REBALANCEDSTILL HOPPING IN THE REAR END AND PLUS I HAVE A SOME WHAT A LOUD HUMMING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR END I HAVE SPOKEN WITH FOUR DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND I HAVE CALLED THE MAINOFFICE THREE TIMES ON MANGER SAID COME BACK AND HE HAD TO SETS OF NEW TIRES THAT THEY WANT TO TRY SO I WENT BACK AND NO NEW TIRES JUST A REBALANCED STILL DIDN'T WORK

  I had to follow up several times to basically beg them to place my tire order. Over 3 wks, I went in initially to place an order, was told the tires weren't available and on backorder, asked if I could could request/buy them now since I wasn't in a rush and just get them once available. Salesman states yes but he wasn't going to sell them, so I asked if he could search anywhere else which he found 8 in ********. Stated the order was placed and would be there in 3-5 business days. I had found them cheaper online and showed the guy tires for $139 where they had them for $185. Claims to had adjusted the price and it was all good.I called a week later to follow up which another salesman let me know he doesn't see an order in the system but he would order them. I waited another week and followed up just to get another salesman tell me he doesn't see an order, but he actually called the CO store to verify inventory. He confirmed they had them but there was a bad snow store so it might be a while, he couldn't get them from the manufacturer since it was indeed on backorder but he located them in ******* and could have it in about a ********** finally arrive and I show up they have them for $185, informed them of the previous price placed in the system. Instead of the initial guy actually adjusting the price he put note "Have manager reverify price" although I showed him the screenshot then he made me find the site to see if its legit then pulls ****** up on the work computer to verify what I had pulled up on my phone. ****************** make me find the site AGAIN to verify if the price was still the same then tells me they'll match the price but now I need to pay for shipping bringing the tires back to $180. We argue a bit because that's outrageous and they "agree" to meet in the middle at $160. Since I waited almost a month at this point. I just agreed so I could leave with the tires.

  Ordered a tire online on there site paid for it they took the money as soon as I pressed the button then went to the store and the tire wasn't there they said they had to order it never said on the site that it wasnt available at all if it would i wouldn't have paid for it and would have went elsewhere needed it that day so i could hear back to VA they told you it would take up to 5 days for a refund i wanted it back the same day so i could buy a tire if you dont have tires in your store dont advertised them online just to get customers and take there money still waiting on my refund

  I've had EXCELLENT experience when having service twice with this amazing shop. ******* ****** had personal contact with me before the work was done. Very professional both times from a very honest, very efficient owner. I'm 83 and have seen lots of ripping off of women and seniors...not at Discount Tire Center!!!

  PALATINE IL location BEWARE.I have been going to discount tire for years and I had my tires serviced last back in late 2021. I recently went to get some new tires and come to find out, my lugs were over torqued and snapping off. The manager there claimed that whoever last serviced my tires, over torqued them and now they're snapping off. That I will need to go to a mechanic and get them taken off. Funny enough once I had informed him that this location was the exact location to have serviced my tires last, he back peddled and said it was due to not maintenancing my tires in years. He recommended me to go to HIS mechanic of choice and I did. That mechanic said that he was "full of crap". There is no way that not servicing your tires would cause your lugs to over torque themselves. I ended up spending about $800 to get the issue fixed and I filed a claim with discount tire and they claimed that they would give me $150 because they "vaule" my business. After I already spent $600 for 2 tires plus the $800 it cost to get my lugs torched off. If you live in the ******** IL area, beware of their location. The mechanic that torched my lugs said to me that it is not the first time they have had people come to him for this exact reason.

  I took my truck into Discount Tires today to have a nail removed and the tire patched and noticed that they now do alignments. I worked at Discount directly out of high school in the 70s in ******* at their ************** by the way. The guy they dressed up like an old woman who threw the tire through the window in the TV commercial was my ***** and worked at the Mertocenter store.After having my flat repaired, my front end is out of alignment pulling hard to the left while the steering wheel is now tilted to the right. I recently had my whole front end rebuilt and the alignment was perfect. So now I either need to pay for a front end alignment, or my tires will wear out prematurely. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED BY DISCOUNT TIRES AND I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK.

  So I went back the next day to get my free realignment and went to pick the vehicle up. I was told by management that they couldn't align my front end because of a sheered bolt on the steering rack. I know my vehicle and there is no such condition. The manager told me that they will let Brakes Plus align it for me. I then asked the child running the alignment area to show me the sheered bolt. We both laid under the truck and he pointed to the drivers side bolt, which wasn't sheered. I asked the manager if there was a limit on the Brakes Plus alignment because if there is a problem with my bolt, I want to take a closer look before getting an alignment. He said "no time limit." I jumped in the truck and began to pull away. The first time I hit the brake a loud "pop" occurred. I am thinking "what the heck!" I got out on the road and pulled into the left turn lane and hit the brake and my whole truck jumped left 5 feet into oncoming traffic and I nearly when head on with a black car. Oh, I was livid, I managed to limp back to the Discount Tire and demanded a manager. I told him that my truck is now a death trap. I walked to the left front tire and shook it and it was solid. I went to the right side and the camber bolts were completely loose and I pointed it out to the manager saying "I can't believe that you sent me into traffic like this!" He said that he will have my truck towed to Brakes Plus, took my keys and left me walking when I live 10 miles away. It took me 2 hours to get home. I called Brakes Plus and the manager said a tech had my truck on the rack and was examining it. He was laughing at what Discount did to me. He said that they would call me first thing in the morning. He called the next morning and told me that my truck is ready. I drove my motorcycle to work that day. After work I asked that they have my truck towed back to Discount because it's 5 miles to Brakes Plus and he said that they would drive me there. I picked up my truck and it was fine. No issues with a bolt or any such thing. Now I had a motorcycle and truck 10 miles from home. I drove the motorcycle home and took a bus back to get my truck. Thanks Discount this 4 day adventure. I went in with a nail and got my truck back 4 days later.
