Don't look for a domain at GoDaddy.com unless you're ready to buy it right away or you don't mind them registering themselves if it's a good name. It happened to me yesterday when searching for a domain for my company and today the name was taken by GoDaddy.

We thank you for sharing your candid feedback. Domains are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.? GoDaddy does not and has never participated in domain name front-running the act of registering domain names after a registration search is done in an attempt to profit from the domain. We encourage our customers to purchase any available domains they desire at the time they show as available for registration. We welcome the opportunity to connect with?you?in the hopes of resolving your?outstanding concerns and can be reached **************************************************.

I hired them to build me a custom website for my business. Paid them up front. Several weeks later I received the first draft. It was embarrassing. All they did was copy and paste some text from my old website into a new template. When I called in to talk about it I was on hold for 20 minutes waiting to speak with someone. I heard a click and the music stopped. There was silence for a few seconds and then the call was ended. No one called me back. So I called back in and asked to cancel. They did ask what they could do to retain my business and I told them how disappointed I was in the work they had supposedly done. There were pages on the website they "designed" for me that were nothing but paragraphs of text set beside each other, and nothing was original. Everything was directly copied from my old website. So much for custom and premium website design. They put zero effort into anything and when I wanted to cancel they told me their refund policy was that after the first draft had been delivered was 30%. What a joke, before I saw the first draft I had no idea what they were doing. After I seen it and realized they had done nothing, I'm out 70% of what I paid them. They lost my business forever for this b.s. don't trust them them will take you to the cleanerxlike they did to me.

We had been with godaddy for more than 10 years. We always purchased a dedicated server with them and prepaid 3 years. In 2022 November while we were in second year of our 3 years plan, Godaddy left a note at the server panel that they will migrate our server to virtual dedicated server, which is a downgraded already. The note said our service will get interrupted more than few days. The best way to avoid this would be purchasing a new plan and migrate ourselves. If we don't do anything, they will migrate our server automatically in upcoming weeks. The price of new plans with same requirement as current plan would be double. When we contacted Godaddy customer rep, they said whatever we have paid to the current plan will not be transferred to new plan, but rather be stored as credit. I asked for refund, and the rep said I would have to talk to accountant, who I have no access to contact them. I don't understand what kind of business would allow their server to shut down for more than a day. Godaddy is very shady and they only wanted you to purchase a new plan, and paid them more. They don't honor the contract that i have signed 1 year ago when i purchased the dedicated server plan. In addition, their sales agent kept calling to scare me about the server going down anytime and therefore should buy the new plan now. Shady company totally.I ended up leaving ****** and found other company that provided dedicated server, with 24 hours knowledgeable customer support. I would not recommend ******************** to any company.I don't understand what kind of business would allow their server to shut down for more than a day. We thank you for sharing your candid feedback. From time to time a company must make the difficult decision to cease (End-of-Life or EOL) providing a particular product or service. This is the case with our Gen4 Dedicated Server. Technology is ever changing and while we understand this process may be frustrating, we provided ample time to make the switch and provided options to help customers decide their individual business' next steps. We welcome the opportunity to connect with you in the hopes of resolving any outstanding concerns and can be reached at ************************************************

You should have honored the contact i have signed. Since you have created this inconvenience, You should have offered a free server for us to migrate ourselves. Then let us know the new server on the remaining of the contracts, Then you can offer us a new plan with new price. Rather you asked your sales kept calling to push for us to purchase a new plan, and kept telling us the server would go down anytime for multiple days. No matter what you said now you are just trying to put out a fire. But you should consder this before you started the fire. You have lost me as a loyal customer. I have been with your company for more than 10 years. We are running a business here.

They claimed world class customer support when I signed up, and it used to be good. They have clearly made massive cuts to their budget for CS. I have spent hours on hold just trying to get very basic help. I will not be renewing my subscriptions.

I've been a GoDaddy customer for over 10 years and have been very happy. They were available by phone 24/7 with competent people answered the phone. Sadly, that's not the case any longer. If you have GoDady hosting in 2023, you are on your own. They outsourced their tech support to people that basically read from a FAQ and completely waste your time when there's a problem. I mean days and days of time wasted, not just a few hours, all while blaming everyone outside and even inside their company for any issues. I've paid for their WPPS (WP premium support) and still nothing except to disable several plugins and state that the plugins were the issue with absolutely no proof. When you complain enough, I mean days of complaining, they send you to advanced hosting who are very talented people that troubleshoot problems, then open paid WPPS tickets with extensive notes, only to be completely ignored by WPPS people who disable plugins and close the ticket.I called for 4 days in a row spending nearly 6 hours per day on the phone with their new tech support people. The wait times for each call are ***** minutes and then they put you on hold only to hang up on you and don't call you back. It took 3 calls per day and the first 2 calls each and everyday they just hung up on me until my third call when I demanded to speak with a supervisor, then they decided to help me to no avail.

This company is shady as all get out. They say they will refund you, but no one answers when you try to reach customer support. They lure you in with low pricing, then when you go to check how much the renewable will be, it is no where to be found! Tried to contact customer support, and the chat option did not work. I ended up just cancelling all my domains and will certainly never use GoDaddy again for domain purchases. 100% do not recommend.

I have been a customer for many years. Their customer service has been in a continual decline each year. Very unfriendly and unusable customer interfaces. Continual billing errors for products. As stated the problems have progressively gotten worse each year.

i didnt do much with them anymore. but had domains registered there. they keep over billing me on the auto renew. every year i go in and change it back to one year. every year at least one of my domains gets double billed. this time they say they can not issue a refund. but could do godaddy credits for the money they stole out of my account. how do you report a robbery on the internet.? you would call the cops if you were walking somewhere and somebody grabbed a $20 out of your hand or pocket.

Predatory practices. Back in ******************************************************** Nov. of 2019 I called to cancel all my services with this company. Turns out they had only turned off the domain services portion and they kept withdrawing money from my debit account since I was enrolled in autopay every 2-years for hosting services. They took a payment on Feb. 2021 and another one on Feb. 2023. So I called to request a refund the amount I paid since Nov. 2018 until Feb. 2023 (4 years) and I was told that it was my fault for never following a guide they sent which shows step by step how to turn off autopay. I can't even find this email from them. In total I paid about $450 over 4 years which I didn't use and all they have to say by phone is: "that was your fault for not turning off autopay using the guide we sent you" even though I called on Nov. 2019 to turn off every service I had with this company. They had only turned off domain services. Absolutely predatory business practices. I want nothing to do with them and I recommend all here to avoid this company.
