3 starsI've been a GoDaddy customer since 2008 and have used their services for over 15 years. Over time, *** noticed significant changes in their pricing structure, customer support, and overall service experience.Pros ? Their web hosting and domain registration services remain reliable.? Initial pricing promotions make their services seem cost-effective.Cons ?? Pricing ****************** Costs The initial promotional pricing is attractive, but renewals come with steep price increases. Web hosting fees have significantly risen, and essential features (such as a professional email and SSL security) are now charged separately, whereas they used to be included.?? Limited Built-In Features The standard marketing package bundled with web hosting only allows 100 email recipients per campaign, requiring an expensive upgrade for larger lists.?? Tech ******************* Customer support has shifted from hands-on troubleshooting to standard scripted responses. Solutions often involve purchasing additional products rather than resolving the issue. Advanced technical support is slow and primarily provides generic guidance via text rather than interactive problem-solving.?? ************************************************** package was placed in a separate workspace from my primary hosting, domain, and email, creating unnecessary complications. I was advised to **** my entire email campaign from scratch due to this system issue, which I ************** Thoughts GoDaddy has shifted towards a pay-for-every-feature model, making it less cost-effective than it used to be. If youre considering GoDaddy, be aware of renewal pricing and double-check that all essential features (like email, SSL, and marketing tools) are included in your plan.I ultimately requested and received a refund for an unnecessary email upgrade that was recommended for my campaign. I appreciate that option, but Ill be reevaluating my long-term use of GoDaddy's services based on these experiences.Review fromKristofer E

1 starAfter finding out that GoDaddy was over-charging me for a service (Advanced Web Security), I called customer support. After a couple hours on the phone, the agent agreed that it was a mistake on their end (likely due to the Media Temple merger), and said because of the dollar amount and time, I would need to fill out a refund request. He assured me that it was clear on their end that it was a mistake and would take 7-10 business day. That was on February 5. Since that time, I called and chatted repeatedly with agents who confirmed this, but were unable to give an update. Finally, on March 10, an agent let me know that the refund was approved and should be received within 14 business days. However, today (36 days later), I received an email from GoDaddy saying, "Hello, Thank you for submitting this request, after reviewing the information you provided, we are unable to approve this out of policy refund request. Please review our Legal Agreements found at the bottom of our website. Thanks" After calling customer care back again today, they said the refusal was because I didn't catch the mistake fast enough. They agreed it was their billing error, but then refused to make it right. For a 23 billion dollar company, this may not be a big deal... but to a small business... it is. I will be switching webhosting companies and would highly recommend that if you are considering GoDaddy - RUN! Find someone else who will be honest in their billing and make matter right when they make a mistake... especially after repeatedly admitting their error.Review fromMarzi E

GoDaddy took $280 from my account without my permission, I have done several things in order to get a refund. I have called them at least 5 times, without success. They are impossible to reach by phone. Last time I tried I was told my waiting time would be 20 minutes. 45 minutes later, I was still waiting. I wrote a review on Trust Pilot indicating I needed a refund. GoDaddy gave a vague answer. What they didn't give was a refund. I tried to reach them through email. So I used the phone, the internet and email to reach them. To no avail. After that, I tried check in GoDaddy.com and find my GoDaddy account. I went nowhere. And yet, they took $280 from my bank account and did it, I repeat, without my permission. GoDaddy's behavior does not even look legitimate. It looks like organized theft and it looks like I will have to file an official complaint.GoDaddy.com LLC

I have used GoDaddy to host my website for years. Recently I bought the ecommerce plan from GoDaddy so i could sell items on my website. GoDaddy decided to close my account and not tell me why. Now im getting the run around about trying to get ****** to accept guest transactions. GoDaddy support is impossible to deal with. They all claim to know who can help and are quick to transfer you. Nobody actually helps. I have clear instructions from ****** on what needs fixed and have gave all the information to GoDaddy but they still act like they "know who can help" and are quick to transfer ***** going to leave GoDaddy over this. Im not going to pay for a service that doesn't work and doesn't have support when it breaks. If i could give 0 stars I wouldGoDaddy.com LLC

I had an absolutely terrible experience with GoDaddy. They allowed my website to be completely deleted by an ex employee, and since then, *** tried five different times to get answers by calling their support. The first time, I spent three hours on the phone; the second time, it was two hours. Each time, I was promised assistance and transferred to department after department all promising help and either hanging up in me or transferring to a recording. I have lost so much money, not having a website. They refuse to take responsibility for this situation, and I've reached my breaking point. I've invested $2500 into my website, and now its gone with no explanation. They claim they can't recover it, which makes no sense. It seems outrageous that they would allow someone to impersonate me and delete my site without any safeguards in ******** very cautious if you're considering using GoDaddy for your website. Their support is inadequate, and they have service centers outside the **** where communication is a struggle. I feel utterly helpless and frustrated as I continue to be transferred endlessly while my issue remains unresolved. Im now forced to contact a lawyer because this situation is unacceptable. I am beyond sick to my stomach over this.GoDaddy.com LLC

I asked for assistance getting my site live. The *** tried to sell me a plan for $839 that he said would get it going. Then after calling him out, he said they just had to re-publish my site, which he had already done while talking to me. Then he continually added outrageous plans to my shopping cart. These are crooks.GoDaddy.com LLC

1 starThis domain host service provider repeatedly failed to perform by not providing email service multiple times due to Microsoft service failures with it's Microsoft365 email service. There was no refund or help to restore service. These services are a fraud. You find out you don't have service when your clients begin calling you. Do not use GoDaddy for website hosting, email, internet security, or anything having to do with the internet.Review fromJennifer H

GoDaddy had a sitewide problem with email and Office 365. It took a four-hour phone call (with over two-hour wait time) to get the problem addressed. When I asked to speak with a supervisor about getting a credit for the four hours I spent on the phone today and two hours I spent trying to get in touch with them yesterday, I was offered one-month of free hosting ($21.99). GoDaddy once had great customer service, but as you can tell by the reviews, the customer service is now abysmal.GoDaddy.com LLC
