This email was sent to Reborn Cabinets and it has information about what the issue is, the job was nerve started and now they want to charge 738 dollars.Good afternoon, I just want to start by saying when we started this journey of getting a new shower we were very excited and assured it would be a quick and easy process. I have to say we are very disappointed with the customer service and the communication we have received. First we were told it would be only two to three weeks to get it done and it would only take a day for the install and it could be done on a Saturday. However a few weeks go by and we were given dates of about seven weeks later and was told it would take two days or longer and it couldnt be done on a weekend. Which at that point we were like what ever we just want it done. I took the time off work and lose two days of work in which I had to do a ten day straight to get those days off and the day comes and we were called three hours after they were supposed to be here to do the job and was told they arent coming due to their van having issues. My husband was told that maybe they could do it the next day and that you (******) would have to make some calls and get back to him in a bit. But guess what never got a call back and to top it off when my husband was driving to work he saw one of your vans driving down the hill. We also tried calling you the Friday, Saturday and Sunday the weekend before to make sure you guys were coming because we hadnt heard anything since the weeks before and never got a response. Then my husband gets a text message the next day about wanting to have it done starting on the 5th of July instead. Im guessing you can understand the frustration we are having at this point. We cant just randomly take days off when ever we want to. We had to plan with our job to request the days off pray we get them. In which I had already had done that once and had to work ten days straight to get them. Then we are told we could just leave a key in a lock box and they could do it while we are at work. Who in their right mind would do that now a days. Not to mention we dont feel we can even trust this company at this point. On June 30th we get an inspector from the city come to our house to inspect the work that was suppose to have been done on the 26th and 27th. After that brief text message conversation we didnt hear anything till this email three weeks later wanting us to pick dates in August. Mind you my husband has tried to contact you with no response. At this point we are going to cancel having it done all together. We need to have it done by a company that is reliable, trustworthy and has the proper communication. We bought a countertop through this company and the employee we worked with told us it would be done in June. We've called many times, and every time someone passes ** off to someone else, who often hangs up on us, send us to voicemail, or the person we talk to PROMISES they'll call us back when they get the information, but they never do. We've probably called and emailed a couple dozen times. They said they don't even have us scheduled and that they're not sure what's going on. They're either playing dumb, horrible people, or they're incompetent. They already set us up with a loan, so I'm not sure if we can even cancel our order. Can you cancel a loan? After filing complaint ID ******** on August 1st, Reborn Cabinets finally contacted us and we are moving forward, albeit quite a bit later than they agreed to. Though it was VERY frustrating having them not return our calls, emails, and texts for over a month, it appears as though they have their stuff together now. I will wait for the business to actually get the job done well and, if it happens, I will consider this complaint resolved.

Dear BBB,I am filing a formal complaint against Reborn Cabinets for the subpar services provided to my parents, ********************* and ***************************, during their kitchen renovation project. Called the company several times to fix the grab bar that they just installed two weeks ago and no response. There products are life time warranty. No communication. Also they breached someone elses contract as well as put the wrong name on my contract. 02 March 2023: Guest bathroom remodel started. Main bathroom should have started a few days later. Both bathrooms should have been completed one week later on/around 09 March 2023. *************************, a Reborn representative, came to my house for a cabinet evaluation at my request. I liked the cabinet designs and agreed to work with Reborn. I signed a contract and paid $1000 down, but did not sign financing documents or set a date to begin work. I had to postpone work on this for work reasons, and ultimately decided it would be more prudent to work with another firm that has a better range of services for the prices offered. I had been told by ******* that Reborn will match prices, but instead of seeking that I opted to cancel. I have tried calling and emailing and no one is helping me to cancel.Business Response

Hello,
I would like to reopen complaint #********. This complaint is against Reborn Cabinets. I invited a representative from Reborn to come to my home on April 21st. I selected styles I was interested in, and made an entirely voluntary down payment of $1000. I was in no way required to give them this money. I did not sign any finance documents. I did not receive any copy of any documents I signed related to my preferred cabinet designs.
I have decided to cancel, and in the doing I have tried calling Reborn multiple times since May. I am usually told I will receive a return call, which they have never done. When I decided to file a complaint with the BBB, Reborn responded that they would be in touch, but critically, that has not happened. They emailed me saying they would call and asked for a phone number--which of course they already had. I asked them to call me on July 25th--they did not do so. I just spoke to *** on the phone and he said that my project was canceled on their end. Critically, I have not received my down payment back.
No work was started. No finance documents signed. No date to begin work was determined. At this point, I simply want to get my down payment back and to end my relationship with this company.

*** was started 8th of June and was to be completed on the 9th of June 2023. It's now 2 weeks later and job still has not been completed. Contacted business and on the 9th because job still was not completed. The company sent another employee to finish job on the 12th of June between 2 and 4pm. The employee came and attempted to complete the job of installing a new shower door and handles but could only complete the installation of the door and nothing else because he was not given all the items. HIA Client ID ******* A vendor/representative from Reborn Bath Solutions (Reborn) stood at the entrance of a ****** store and was promoting their bathroom remodel special for ****** members. It was timely because we were in the market to remodel our kids bathroom and expressed interest before leaving the store. That same day we got a call from their rep for a consultation. Prior to the appointment we did our due diligence and researched about Reborn and saw the mixed (positive/negative) online reviews of the company. We still wanted to hear their presentation since we took to account that they have been in business for 40 years and ****** usually partners with reputable companies as the vendor proudly said, They have an exclusive contract and partnership with ****** and ****** demands high standards from the vendors they support!An agent/estimator (***************************) came to our home on 10/27/22. He gave us a 2.5-hour presentation and offered 3 quotes off the bat the ***** price, the 30-day price, and the 12-month price which accounts for, you know, inflation and market changes. We had other estimates for our kids bathroom project but we were impressed with the sales presentation and the convenience Reborn offered/promised a 2-day project (demo and installation). We have 3 school age children and we cannot afford not to have a bathroom for them for days. The total cost of the project is $17,385. We were given the veterans and first responders discounts. A $2,000 ****** shopcard would likewise be issued to ** once the project is completed. When making our decision, we specifically told **************** that we want the project started the soonest possible due to scheduling and work commitments. He mentioned that between licensing, production, and holidays coming the soonest he sees availability/installation is January 2023. Holidays came and went and the project got moved to February (1st red flag). On the day of ******************** a Reborn rep called me up to cancel the appointment (2nd red flag), stating that the product is not ready and they are missing some pieces for the project. To cancel an hour prior to their appointment is really unprofessional and inconsiderate, I had to take a couple of days off from work to oversee the project. I was also told that it might take 4-6 weeks to get everything ready. To my dismay, I told the Reborn rep to just cancel the project and that Ill cancel through ****** as well. I immediately called ******, reported what happened and expressed our intent to cancel the project. The ****** rep mentioned that they will investigate the case and get in touch with us if they encounter any issues with the cancellation process. Here's when the situation got shady, as soon as I got off the call from ****** a Reborn rep called me up to say that they can reschedule the demo and installation in the next few days (3rd red flag). I asked, How?, considering the things I was just told. I also asked if its just going to take them 2 days to finish the project, the Reborn rep mentioned it might take 5 days, at least (4th red flag). I told him that my concern was they were going to demo the existing bathroom and not have the replacement/product ready and well end up at Reborns mercy. I also told him that I already called ****** to cancel the project and that they should contact ****** for any issues.I did not hear from Reborn or ****** since then. On May 5, we received a collection letter from Reborn stating that we have to pay $6,182.05 (restocking fee). Every Friday since then, we received the same notice stating that we need to pay up or else our account will be turned to collections and a mechanics lien will be filed on our home. Today, May 31, I got a call from a ****** rep/Account ******* (****) representing his boss (****) and asking about the status of the project and that he has the ****** shopcard ready for delivery. After explaining what transpired and mentioned all the red flags on the project I have reached to a conclusion that **** is more concern about Reborn. I told **** that well seek legal remedies if we have to if they cannot help us get Reborn off of our backs.Business Response
