Original project scheduled for mid-May. We notified need to cancel early April. We learned about this company at a large retailer, which gave us reassurance that they were professional. We had a Reborn Sales rep come to our house to give us a quote. This representative gained our trust and said what distinguished them is that you only deal with one person, in this case it was her, no middlemen, and that she would be our only point of contact. We had an emergency about 2 weeks later, so we contacted Reborn to let them know we were cancelling the project. We also, called our Sales Rep, one person-contact, to let her know of our emergency and need to cancel. We assumed the project was cancelled since we never heard back from anyone. Although we left a detailed voice message and reiterated that we were cancelling and to contact me if further information was needed, we received a call asking for permits for our upcoming job. We called immediately, to let them know that we had indeed cancelled this project and not to send anyone to our home. We understand we went beyond the one-week cancelation period, but we were able to give ample, 6 week-notice. We would like notification that our contract with ReBorn and the *************** are null and void. Only one name on the Contract, wife. Our last contact was with Headquarters Representative, who would forward our circumstance to higher *** and request cancellation. We have not heard back. We would like to receive written confirmation that this Bathroom Project is null and void. No monies were exchanged.Business Response

Per the ****** connection magazine I saw an ad for refacing cabinets through Reborn cabinets. I called them directly and said I want to place an order through ******. They should have directed me back to ****** and they did not. They sent their man out who was a very high pressured sales. The information given to me on how the cabinets were to be installed and what they would look like was conflicting with the gentleman that came out on the 16th to measure. I decided at that point I did not want to proceed being that I was giving misinformation on what I was going to be paying for. This was supposed to have been a ****** order also, the salesperson said I would be getting a 10% on the amount of the cabinets back in a ****** shop card. After calling ****** myself., they said they did not have any order for myself. Which makes sense because the salesman never asked for my ****** membership number. So he lied regards to this being a ****** order. I called ****** again today which is the 23rd of May and was told that they do not have any contractors in my zip code to service cabinet refacing. I am now waiting for a ****** escalation to call me back. In the meantime, I have got numerous phone calls from ****** (reborn)who is now threatening me that I have to pay 35% back because I canceled my order which comes to $9,000. When I had canceled this on the 17th I spoke to ***** at the concierge Department. And I asked him if I was liable for anything because I'm canceling he said no you are not don't worry about it. My contractor was standing there and heard the whole conversation. The phone calls from ****** do not stop! I have at least five voicemails from him telling me that this is not going to go away unless I go through with the order. I don't want to pay $26,000 for a product and installation that was not portrayed honestly and accurately! The salesman should have explained the contract in more detail also, rather than having me just sign& initial here and there. HelpBusiness Response

I am a senior citizen (65 years old) and signed a contract with Reborn Cabinets after a high pressure sales pitch to remodel my kitchen. I paid a $1000 deposit. The contract is dated 4/12/2023 and has a clause stating I had a right to cancel within 5 days of the contract either by phone, email, faxing or delivering written notice, and that they would refund my deposit within 10 days of the receipt of the notice. I emailed my notice of cancelation on 4/14/2023 and called their customer service the same day to verify their email address for the cancelation, They acknowledged the receipt of the cancelation. I followed up via phone again on 4/25/2023 and was told by their customer service agent that they had 10 days from the date they "processed" the cancellation, which is contrary to their contract language that states the refund must be delivered 10 days from the receipt of notice of cancellation.I followed up for the 4th time on 5/2/2023 via email with no response. Please help me recover my deposit.Business Response

This company has one of the worst customer service out there. Please learn from my mistake and stay clear of them. I was put in contact with Reborn through ******* I reached out for a consultation and to my surprise, they sent an agent out the very next day. ****** spent over 3 hours selling me this whole idea of their family owned business, how they value their customers and that they will get the job done unlike other contractors. She also mentioned she would put me in touch with a floor guy as there would be scarring in my bathroom and that since it isn't a big project, she could get them to do the install sooner. I signed the contract as I trusted this vendor through ******* Little did I know it was a huge waste of my time and a big headache. There was no follow-up after this appointment. She ended up making excuses then ghosted me. She told me to reach out to her manager, **** but he also ghosted me but later told someone that I was not reachable which is a huge lie. I informed their scheduling person ******* but that didn't go anywhere. I was in contact with ******* the project manager but he couldn't get anyone to get back to me and understood my frustration. Then after calling a few more people there I was put in touch with one of their managers who told me that they don't know why that was relayed to me and that there's nothing they can do but look up unaffiliated floor people for me and that since I signed the contract and there's nothing in writing about what I claim they can't do anything about it. Thank god I saved all the texts and sent it right over as proof. They ended up canceling my project. They lack professionalism to say the least. The customer service is appalling. There is no sense of responsibility. The agent ****** even raved that they have no complaints on BBB, I should have checked right then and there. Save yourselves and do not work with them until a major restructuring and retraining of their staff is done.Business Response

I paid $10,600 to ReBorn Cabinets in December 2022 to convert a tub-shower into a walk in shower, a process they said would take 2 to 3 days. An additional $10,600 was due upon completion. Work started in late March. They completed the work in about 6 days from start. They ignored the city inspectors required material for plumbing and sealed over the drywall installation before inspection. The project failed city inspection and the company has not offered any solution or remedy.Business Response

Hello, On 3/1/23, my significant other and I, met with a designer/salesperson *************** from Reborn Bath Solutions. We were interested in replacing our shower. The designer emphasized that Reborn has an exclusive contract with ****** stating several times that ****** demands high standards from the vendors they support. Following the presentation, we chose the shower materials, shower door and shower head. After making our choices, we received a quote for $15000. We were told that there was a special on the shower door. The shower installation occurred on 4/17/23 and 4/18/23. My significant other ******** was home while the work was undertaken and I was at work. The project number is Ebi0039. ******** called me at work on 4/18/23 to inform me there was no shower door installed and the workers ******** and ***** told her there was no shower door in the contract. I informed ******** to not sign the completed work order, but the workers coerced her telling her she must sign the completed work order. I have reached out to the number provided *************) and was informed *************************** is our project manager. I left emails and phone messages, but have not received a reply. My access to the website containing my contract has been denied. ******** and I both called *************** the designer and she hung up on both of us. We were promised a completed shower with shower door and plumbing fixtures for the quoted price and only received the shower insert, drain pan, and shelves with no plumbing fixtures or shower door. It is clear from my interactions that Reborn uses deceptive business practices. This is particularly concerning given that I am a senior citizen. I am asking for the company Reborn to complete the job as promised. I can't imagine a scenario where one would install a shower, without a shower door. My phone number is ************. Thank you, ***************************Business Response

This refers to complaint id ******** which was filed on March 17 2023.Reborn was supposed to come tomorrow and fix their bad shower installation, but today they called and told us that they still do not have the required part which is a simple piece of plastic. This is the fourth time that this happened. I think they are using an outside contractor for warranty issues and they are not interested in resolving this issue after we paid $30,000 in advance.Apparently they also removed my previous post.We now have a new repair date for April 8, but I do not think they have any intention to take care of this issue. This is causing a lot of mental anguish for my wife and me, and if this does not get resolved by next Saturday we will seek legal counselBusiness Response

I was shopping at my neighborhood ****** and was approached by a salesperson for Reborn Bathroom solutions. I was looking to remodel my master bathroom. I received a call from Reborn set a appointment for a salesman to come to my home for a project quote. The salesman stated the remodel would take a week. The total cost for the remodel came to a total of $13,000 which I paid in full by check. Once Reborn got my money. They did not come to start the remodel for over two weeks. When the two laborers came they did the demo of my existing bathroom. They left then a new laborer showed up to put up the drywall. The man doing the drywall somehow punctured a pipe behind the absolutely horrible drywall job. I noticed later after the man left that the drywall was getting real wet. I called and called with no reply for days. Finally a man by the name of **** returned my call only to say that he needed $3000 more dollars from me for the shower doors and glass he said I needed to call the glass supplier to order and pay for doors. I was flabbergasted and asked if he had fallen and hit his head? Because he had to be crazy if he thought I was going to pay anything more. I then told him that his salesman had failed to give me my copy of the contract. I asked for my copy but have never been given my copy. My bathroom has never been finished and I have had to hire a reputable and honest company to remodel my bathroom. I am out the $13,000 they have refused to refund my money. Say I signed the contract. Reborn is now not returning any of my calls.Business Response

Contacted the 38 years in business owner with detail and photos.
Contacted the Contractor with no response for a resolution to date.
.Purchased home after a remodel by this contractor. Verified construction defects with a bore scope camera. This was used to verify photo records of the job.
Bathroom x 2 remodels.
Used sub-standard non-galvanized fasteners for wet, humid areas for attachment of waterproof drywall, and plumbing supports for valves.
Did not fill seams in the drywall for waterproofing.
Did not replace bad insulation in a wall or wall sole plate wood.
Stress the plastic pipe connections rather than 90-degree elbows.
Used plywood instead of waterproof drywall in many areas.
Did not support new plumbing so we have an air hammer pipe vibration when the flow is shut off.Business Response

The facts in the matter are correct. You performed an installation which was substandard by any credible tradesperson.
I am asking for communication by your firm directly to explain why you feel my photos are incorrect. Are you stating that to
get this matter resolved I have to take this matter to court. By law you have to perform construction work that meets code and
the manufacturers materials installation guidance. You have not.
Where is the use of non galvanized fasteners in shower construction allowed? Please tell me that. That is just one point of fact.
Please respond directly and lets resolve this matter. You should not be doing this type of work and harming others.
Shame on you. If these photos you feel do not describe the matter, I have 15 more taken by your employees. Some show your workers wearing
reborn t shirts. This install is less than two years old. Check the law when you pulled your contractors license.

I am in contact with the CEO who has been with the firm for 38 years.
After a number of emails requesting a resolution to his staff
through Linkedin Navigator he responded 4-3 that he was looking into the matter.
I suggested a meeting at his office. He stated in the email to stop contacting his staff.
I am awaiting his reply. I also sent a letter to the contractor licensing board.
That seems to have worked.
Please send this response to the company, Reborne.
