We had one of the sales reps ,from Reborn,to give us a quote . I told him a dozen times I wanted to do 1 bathroom at a time . I wanted to pay cash per bathroom ,finish one and then schedule another one ,after more than 6 hours at my house , he finally left with a cash deposit of 2000.00. the next day i got an email saying my "loan" for almost 50.000 -00 did not go through .I emailed back right away to cancel my order as i did not want a loan . I have emailed and texted numerous times .This is now 2 months ago and i still don't have my deposit back .What will it take ? I will turn to yelp and keep asking for my deposit back. I paid cash and it should not take 2 months to get your hard earned money back.Business Response

This company's numerous representatives have been calling me and leaving voicemails several times a day for several weeks. They claim that I requested an estimate from them, which is completely untrue. I have never contacted them, requested services from them, or even knew they existed before they began calling me. In fact, they do not even know my name when they leave their voicemail messages on my phone. For example, I have received calls from them at 11:46AM, 12:55PM, 2:56PM, AND 4:57PM today alone! I am lodging a formal complaint in the construction quality and professionalism in the project for our home. We specifically chose Reborn due to the perceived (i) timeliness, (ii) professionalism, and (iii) quality, of which we felt was not substantially addressed during this project. Timeliness: Construction was promised to be 3 days, it ended up being 5 days across a 6 day period, which we were not adequately prepared for. We felt that with the inspection period and continual reassurance that this would be a 3 day project, we could comfortably make this choice. However, Reborn failed to deliver in its promise which led to us having to scramble to find alternative accommodations and cancel plans due to this failure.Professionalism: We were told that the construction would be "nonintrusive" and "well contained". However, the construction produced a huge quantity of waste product (sawdust, plastic scraps) that are now covering our backyard and have infiltrated every bit of our furnishings. "Coverings" hardly did anything as we have found sawdust and plastic everywhere in our yard and in our rooms that are not the kitchen. This is a gross misrepresentation Quality: As you are already aware we see large quality problems in the construction of the cabinet refacings. We are pleased with the steps taken to replace the cabinet faces that are subpar and incorrectly installed, but are still frustrated by this. Additionally, given the shoddy professionalism of the installation job, we are not comfortable having another installation team coming in to do more woodwork on the house. We have a newborn baby arriving next week and are not comfortable allowing them to be further exposed to class 1 carcinogens (paint dust, sawdust). ****** has been helpful in identifying the issues and issuing remedies. However we would like to only have a team come to reinstall the bad drawers and cabinet faces, and do no more sawing/grinding that will produce any construction byproducts.Business Response

We made connection with an ********************* who is the sales person for Reborn cabinets. In this connection we gave a $1000 deposit to start the journey for getting our shower installed. We went through all of our options as to what we wanted. When the time was set to install the shower, the team that was designated, had all of the wrong materials. we tried to contact ************* and never got a call back until a day later. We then went to the project manager, *************************, who never returned our calls or our text messages whereby I had to notify his supervisor ******** who took this seriously. He said that he would take care of this for us, but at the end of the day , when signing this contract in September, ************* force us to sign up for the contracted loan, financial wars which is green sky we had told ************* we were not going to have that because we could pay it off with a HELOC which we took out on our home. However, when this all went bad, and we canceled outright that we did not want Reborn back to do anything, because we lack and did not have any more trust in this organization in general. after looking at the **********, Secretary of State and the Better Business Bureau they having a number of lawsuits against them. We just want our money back. We want ******** off of our credit report, and then no more contact to be made by Reborn to us at all.Business Response

A quick recap of reborn bathtub installation experience * Missing building permit, delayed from Oct 03 to Nov 21 * Water was not shut off correctly, delayed from Nov 21 to Dec 01 * Materials incomplete, delayed (indefinite)A recap of the bad experience:* ***** called me about installation postponement on Sep 28. Was asked to call back the next morning as I was in the middle of something important. Didn't call back and never informed me of the postponement till I discovered on Sep 30. Interrupted my doc appointment but never a word of apology.* When water continued to flow from the faucet, ******** essentially insisted that his expectation for installation is homeowner will shut off the water and shut off refers to bone dry in the pipe. When asked to help find a solution, insisted that this was an issue for homeowner to solve. Clearly, from the picture sent in previous email thread, the water was shut off using the individual unit shut off valve. If water is still flowing, ******** should attempt to diagnose the problem instead of deflecting to homeowner, who's untrained in plumbing.* A commitment was given by Reborn to complete the installation before Thanksgiving but it was not kept. When my wife and I tried to find help from Reborn before the holiday, no one responded in a timely fashion, resulting in my family being rendered homeless. We had to inccur cost to stay away from my home; our Thanksgiving party was disrupted due to the loss of use of our home.At of 12/2/2022, reborn finally installed the bathtub but the door and shelves are missing. We still have no access to the shower even though **** the install manager promised the usage immediately. As loyal ****** customers, we believe reborn is better than this to be worthy of ******'s endorsement.Business Response

This has been such a disaster from *********** day a crew was supposed to be here between **** am I recieved a call about 9 am the we needed to reschedule for the next day. Ok day 2, so between 8- 10 am crew again should come, 1 guy showed up a little after 10:30. Day 3 between **** a crew, 1 guy after 11am. Now it's Sunday no work, it's day 4 it's not completed. Monday 1 guy shows up installs my shower doors and fixed my water pressure issue by flushing the line. He partially fixed the whole that was cut into my bedroom wall on that 1st day here by patching it but it's not sanded down or painted then fixed the whole that was put in my ceiling on the second day someone was here patched it back but you can see it's not even with the rest of the ceiling and sprayed it with bright white texture that's doest match my ceiling, looks terrible. They have shown up 2 times without scheduling a appointment, I left work one time but did not the second time. Someone was supposed to be here today between ****am no call/ no show 2 hours after time frame. I hope people review this company before they hire them like I did truly disappointed in this whole experience. Definitely not worth ****** dollars. Thank YouBusiness Response

We waited 2 months for install. They arrived yesterday and began work on guest bathroom. When I brought up the city inspection the contractor was unaware. After discussing with manager they said they were not doing permits. I connected the sales rep on the line and she confirmed. They continued to demo the laundry shower and said they would return today 11/17/2022. They didnt show up. Manager **** keeps trying to get us to agree without permits claiming they will take months. We called the city and they are saying they dont delay projects and will come out the next day. The manager **** stopped answering our calls and **** keeps saying conflicting statements with the city. He even tried to tell us permits are not required. As of now they are saying due to permits the project is delayed.Business Response

On 6/16/22 we entered a contract with Reborn Cabinets and gave them a "down payment" in the amount of *******. The contract shows we are to obtain the permits. The week of September 5th, we were contacted by Reborn wanting to move up the installation date. We had already met with the City to see what they needed for the permit. The CIty stated "just have your contractor give us the plans for the plumbing". We relayed this message to Reborn, and finally after almost 2 weeks of calls and e-mails, we got a call from the Project Manager and were told that her engineer said to "have them take our contract and a drawing on a piece of paper and it will be fine". I told her that we could not possibly draw plans for re-vamping the plumbing and it would be a false document. They had delayed so long in responding that we now could not start the project on time. She then asked if we wanted Reborn to get the permit. We said no, we just needed the plans where they were going to move the plumbing to accomodate the new location of the bathtub. She did not seem to understand this. I then e-mailed ***************************** to cancel the contract citing the lack of faith in Reborn even doing the job correctly and most importantly Reborn wanting us to commit an illegal act to even get the job started. We then were getting calls every few days offering this and that when before we could not get anyone to answer calls. We were charged a 35% cancellation fee (*******) for not wanting to do business with a company that skirts the law. We would like our money back!Business Response

My wife and I entered into an agreement with Reborn for them to remodel our master bath in early September, 2022. We were told work would commence on Nov. 28, 2022. In mid October, my wife and I, after assessing our current financial state due to the recession, decided to halt the project. On Oct. 21, I contacted Reborn to inform them of the decision to cancel (38 days prior to project start). The person I contacted said he was sorry that we needed to cancel but understood. There was no mention of a cancellation penalty. He then stated we would be contacted by the finance team to discuss the return of our $1000 deposit. On, or about, 10/25, I was contacted by a woman in the Finance team who discussed the cancellation of our project, put through the final cancellation and said we should expect our refund within **** business days. Again, there was no mention of any cancellation penalty. On 11/5, we were contacted by ****** in Customer Relations who informed us that we would be subject to a 35% penalty, amounting to $4200, for cancellation outside of the cancellation window. ****** stated that the company had expended significant resources scheduling and procuring materials for our project. Since our remodel is a straightforward install of one of their pre-fab shower inserts with standard framing, I do not understand what specialized materials they would need to procure. Also, I feel that cancelling well over a month prior to our project start date provides ample time to reallocate materials and **************** Since no mention of cancel penalties was made and a full refund was offered upon initial cancellation, I feel that the threat of the $4200 penalty is unfair and unwarranted.Business Response

We saw a TV ad 1day 50% off installation remodeled bathroom, Salesman came here on 08/29/22, ordered shower, that we were told everything included for $15,000 no matter the water damage, great. price will be half $7,546.50 then other half when job completed. Appointment was scheduled for 10/24, they called and moved up to 10/03, called that day saying they can' come cause the materials weren't in, next appointment was moved to 10/10, No show, but recieved email they would be here on 10/11, they called to confirmed 10/12, So, I called to complain and just cancel my order, He apologized gave us 5% discount($750) assured us they would be here the next day 10/13, called us later that day saying they would be booked up all week, made it for 10/17 for sure, that meant all those days took off work, knock on our door on 10/13 8:30am, they really need to communicate with each other, he didn't even know what job he's doing. we let him start anyway, just one guy came out for the job. When finished he handed me his blank phone to sign, looked and my new shower had NO DOORS! I then was told I need to custom order shower doors, this doesn't make since, why would I pay that much money for a shower with no doors? called project manager and all he can do is give a discount price of $1200 for doors! I'm livid at what this company is able to do to their customers. The shower head came out drizzling water. they tell me I can get my contract through email, when I try that I get ERROR404? somebody needs to stop this company from stealing from the American people. When we call them all they say is someone will call us back. I want my money back and they can come take this cheap looking shower with them!!Business Response
