in the last 2 months i followed an instagram ad which made the impression that being voice listed with all the services such as bing or ***** or siri etc was a big missed opportunity for businesses that are not listed and that 60% of searchers are using this method to find a service the are in need of. Also that once listed, a company could expect to receive much more attention (because 60% of the searching public blah blah) and i have seen no results whatsoever. Their ads are misleading and they use less than scrupulous high pressure sales tactics. They attempt to get you to pay ridiculous prices for snake oil until you give a fight and then they go as low as 10% of the original asking. yet no results! none of my callers have said 'voice' when i ask how they found us, and the volume of calls has not risen. This company does not provide nearly the value they claim.Business Response

On November 15th, one of our APN representatives ******* contacted ************************* regarding the voice search registration he had purchased on September 21st. During the conversation, ************ expressed his concern about not appearing on voice search platforms despite his registration. To address this, our representative conducted live voice searches over the phone, verifying that Mr. ****** company was indeed registered and showing up as the second result for relevant keywords in his area. Upon witnessing the successful registration, ************ raised the issue that our advertised guarantee implied an assurance of increased phone calls. The representative clarified that our guarantee is centered around registering and appearing on voice search platforms, emphasizing that guarantees for specific phone call quantities cannot be provided, as it is essentially a directory listing. The representative explained the broader audience reach achieved through voice search platforms, potentially attracting more clients over time. Despite the explanation, ************ became increasingly upset, resorting to the use of foul language throughout the call. Despite the representative's efforts to de-escalate the situation, ************ remained highly upset and agitated during the interaction. ************ responded with further profanity and abruptly terminated the call. It's important to note that APN successfully provided the promised services by registering ************ on voice search platforms; therefore, he does not qualify for a refund, as the services were duly rendered.Customer Answer

As mentioned in our previous response, no qualifications for a refund apply. Your presence is established and registered on voice search platforms both under your company name and through relevant keyword searches. This placement is intended to last for the duration of your business, and therefore, there are no conditions for a refund. The Prime Listings program was terminated prematurely, but it was communicated that participation should ideally continue for 6 to 12 months. A refund for a monthly payment associated with the Prime Listings program was processed on the day of cancellation, as previously agreed upon. No additional refunds will be issued, considering the services rendered for your company.Customer Answer

On November 16, 2023, an account manager at ********************** reached out to Mr. and Mrs. ****** to address their inquiries and concerns regarding their Voice Registration and Prime Listings Package accounts. The clients conveyed frustration about the challenges they faced in verifying their ****** My Business profile and ensuring accurate information on Yelp. I successfully aided Mr. and Mrs. ****** in the verification of their ****** My Business listings for both businesses. Additionally, I assisted in ensuring that their Yelp listings reflected the correct information they provided during their sign-up on August 21, 2023. Mr. ****** was also supported in recording a business verification video for ******, leading to the successful verification of his business on the ****** platform. As a result, his business is now searchable on ******. The Friends have decided to proceed with the service, and we reached a resolution to their satisfaction. Currently, they have no further questions or concerns.Initial Complaint

They charged me $698 and I called back immediately and asked for it to be refunded and they would not give me a refund. I have looked into them and I know theres quite a few complaints. I sent them an email because I am not the owner of the business, and the owner of the business does not want to give them access to our computer. I sent them an email and they are not responding.Business Response

We acknowledge and appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised following your recent interaction with our services. Our commitment to customer satisfaction remains paramount, and we regret any inconvenience experienced. On November 2nd, your request for a refund was received, prompting a timely response from our floor manager. During the subsequent conversation, you shared the challenges posed by family matters as the reason for cancellation. The manager reassured you of our 100% approval guarantee and explained our refund policy, to which you expressed understanding and agreement. In response to your email on November 6th, outlining the owner's hesitancy to proceed with the service due to collaborative commitments, we understand the owner's reluctance to share his computer screen and are actively exploring alternative solutions. Efforts to establish contact on November 9th unfortunately proved unsuccessful. However, on November 8th, our representative successfully connected with you. Despite our representative's sincere efforts to assist and clarify our refund policy, we acknowledge your expressed intent to dispute the charge, leading to the conclusion of the call. Subsequent attempts to reconnect were declined, prompting our representative to leave a voicemail, urging you to call back for further assistance and resolution. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we remain dedicated to finding a solution that aligns with your expectations. We encourage you to reach out at your earliest convenience, allowing us the opportunity to work collaboratively towards a resolution that addresses your concerns.Customer Answer

I spoke with the company yesterday and today, explaining that I've seen all the complaints against them and want a refund. Also this was not the business I initially wanted to do business with, they contacted me instead of the business I actually sent my information to. I thought it was the same business until I read what others were saying after they filled out the same information from a ******** ad "Voice Command". I just thought Voice Command was the ad and not the business, but Voice Command responded to a comment I made about someone getting ripped off from another company. I responded "APN TECH" and Voice Command said that was the business that is stealing their leads. I feel like I got played and honestly after dealing with them, I don't want to do business with this company. It was like pulling teeth in the beginning to get ahold of the person that called & left a message for me to call them back. I want my money back cause it's not the company I inquired with for advertising.Business Response

Scam alert and literally one of the worst customer ******* experiences I have ever had. First of all, this was a HUGE investment for me. I am a small business owner and I decided to spend some money on advertising in order to get new customers. Obviously, if I need new customers, I am taking a risk when choosing where to invest my limited amount of money. I decided to go ahead and make the purchase based on what ended up being three very blatant lies told to me by the sales rep during the sales call. The sales rep that sold me the $698 ********************** ******* told me at least three lies about the ******* that I would be getting. The first lie was that it was a "lifetime money back guarantee". The second lie, in response to my direct question asking if SEO was factored into the *******, was that SEO was included in the *******. The third lie was that my ranking would improve as a result of the *******. I signed up based on these lies and provided my credit card info. About 18 hours later, I was called, as promised, by a second customer ******* representative to finish the on-boarding process. During that phone call, he read me the terms and conditions which specifically stated that "once the listing went live" they were no longer responsible for my showing up on a search or where I ranked on the search. This information was in direct contradiction to what I was told by the sales rep just 18 hours prior. I immediately asked for a refund, which I thought was a lifetime guarantee, but was then put on hold and transferred for 25 minutes before I finally got a "manager who then provided me with literally the rudest customer ******* I have ever endured. He literally told me I am not going to take your word for it (more than once using this exact phrase) that the sales associate had lied to me. He repeatedly scoffed at me while stating I will listen to the call and determine whether to give you a refund or not. He could not and would not give me any specific criteria that he was going to use to make this assessment. He did say a few times I will see if ******* said SEO was included, ignoring my repeated assertions that I was lied to about the lifetime money back guarantee. He kept saying he could not take my word for it to give me a refund. He also had literally no regard for my time and kept suggesting that we listen to the phone call together. Right, because I have another 30 minutes to set aside to try to convince you to honor a lifetime money back guarantee that your sales person made up but for which you do not hold any accountability. Ironically, he clearly cares enough about defending the honor of the company that he would laugh at me, ******** me and refuse to believe me but has little interest in the fact that its sales rep made a sale based on lies and jeopardized the integrity of the company and the satisfaction of a customer based on his unscrupulous methods. Finally, as others have said in their reviews here, this is basically a scam. If it does not incorporate SEO and improve ones ranking on a search, there is no need for the *******. I would appear in the exact same way on a search without the ******* as I would with the *******. It is a scam and an unnecessary product that literally does nothing for a business listing in a search. Additionally, I was lied to and manipulated, scoffed at and an insulted. I want nothing to do with this company. I have already reported this to my credit card company and we are awaiting the refund results. I will also be reporting this to the BBB and I am considering seeing if 7 On Your Side is interested in this fraudulent companies tactics.Business Response

On November 3, ***** reached out to us requesting a refund via phone. She was then connected with one of our floor managers to help resolve the situation. ***** was understandably frustrated because she believed she had been given inaccurate information and was seeking a refund. The manager offered to listen to the call with her since providing a refund solely based on an accusation goes against our Standard Operating Procedures. ***** declined, explaining she was on her way to work. In a show of goodwill, our manager suggested a follow-up call the next day to review the call together, which ***** also declined, growing increasingly frustrated and, at times, verbally abusive before ending the call. Our compliance department reviewed the call on November 6 and found no mention of SEO, only a focus on voice search. The sales representative had assured ***** that she could test our service for 3-4 weeks, and if her company did not appear as an option, a full refund would be provided. Additionally, the sales representative had expressed a commitment to assist ***** if her business did not achieve visibility over the course of a few years. We deeply value our customers and their experiences. We are committed to addressing any concerns and resolving any issues in a compassionate and professional manner.Customer Answer

The response from the business is sugar-coated and not what happened. The business DID provide a refund and for that I am grateful. But, other than that, this is another series of false truths and blatant lies on the company's part. I was lied to, manipulated, belittled and talked down to in both tone and words by both the sales rep that made the sale and the manager that was supposed to help. Offering to "listen to the call" was already a breach of the "lifetime guarantee pf a refund policy" I was promised by the original sales rep. I was scoffed at, talked over and insulted throughout the call with the manager. Anyone would get upset being lied to and insulted by a company that charged a hefty fee for services they had no intention of providing. I am grateful for the refund but I stand by my warning to consumers to avoid doing business with this company because they make sales based on lies, have no respect for the customer's time or finances and are extremely rude and condescending. Finally, the product is not needed. If the company cannot and does bot provide SEO and ranking, my business listing will show up (or not) in exactly the same way with or without the product. This is a scam. Run by extremely rude people who have np concern for their customer.Business Response

APNtech, sold me the service of having my name appear on all major voice search engines like ***** ***** etc. for my real estate business. This company was extremely difficult to get through and when I did I complained that I have been testing the service and I am not appearing on the voice search. I asked for my refund at that time and was told I would have my money refunded. A week later I called them to inquire about the refund that I had not received, they said to give them a few more days to get it to me each time saying that it is noted that I they had agreed to my refund and giving me excuses saying that it was forth coming. After not having received a refund O emailed them and they wrote me back that they were not going to refund me because they had included two snap shots of my business that they had obtained. The snap shots were of Yelp which I had entered myself and when I do a voice search for local Realtors I am not found no matter how many times I have done it and have had others try. They think because they took a snap shot of a computer search that they did that this would convince me that the Voice Search is functioning which it is Not! After reviewing countless complaints I see that this company is clearly robbing consumers by offering a service that they dont fulfill and then giving the consumers the run around. I want my full refund from this company and to never be contacted by them or have them charge me for anything else as I have noted is another ploy of theirs. I believe the amount to be refunded is $100.00 they guarantee a refund and I have attached documentation on this. I hope that BBB can help to stop this company from victimizing others.Business Response

We understand the frustrations you've experienced with your account, and we're here to help with the utmost care and concern. On August 9th, you reached out to us requesting a refund, and on August 18th, our manager left you a voicemail, expressing his desire to work with you to resolve the identified account issues. We understand that it took until August 31st for you to respond, emphasizing your refund request once more. On September 8th, we shared evidence of your business's presence on voice search via email. However, it seems your response was primarily focused on the refund request, which is completely understandable. In our follow-up email, we reiterated our policy regarding refunds while offering our continued assistance. We were concerned to receive a threatening email from you in response. On September 13th, we made another attempt to explain our refund policy, and we kindly encouraged you to reach out for further assistance. We genuinely care about your experience, ******, and we're dedicated to finding a resolution for your account issues. Please don't hesitate to contact us, either by email or phone. On September 28, 2023 I reached out to APN tech to get my business on voice search through ******* Siri, etc. and paid $680,00 to do so. I was told that if my business did not show up or I was not satisfied, I would be given a 100% refund with a 30 day time period. The minute I handed over my credit card info, the began a hard up sell to another service that would get my business shown more. Immediately, a red flag went up. I said no and they have continually tried to get me to purchase. They have done nothing but take my money. I spent so much time on the phone with them going over key words and areas of service that was supposed to help me show up on voice search. They claim I am now searchable, but this is not true. The only time I show up is if you ask for me directly by name. I have always shown up that way as I am ****** verified. I have continually and within the 30 day window asked for a full refund only to be told they fulfilled their end of the agreement. This company is a fraud and needs to be shut down. I am usually a much better consumer and do my research before purchasing, but these people are very good at convining you. Had I done my research, I would have seen the MANY consumer complaints against them for the same thing. All I want is a refund because I certainly did not get what I paid for.Business Response

I entered into an agreement with this company to advertise my business. They walked me through all of the steps and assured me that the keywords used would show me listed. My company is listed on internet as ***************************** ****************** and that's what is on my business page but my company also abbreviates it to ***************************** AGC but it shouldn't matter because they promise using keywords will drive business to you. if you're asking 'hey Siri show me realtors near me' or 'show me houses for sale in ************' they assured me that my business will show up and that is a lie! Their whole premise is that you will show up on voice search using keywords. I trusted that they delivered exactly what I was promised AND told when I had it all set up by the gentleman on phone that my business would be listed. He even said everything is good to go. I trusted that. I was wrong. I do not show up and their biggest argument is that my business shows up under two different names. Here's the thing I'm part of ***************************** company that goes by both of those names and again if you're using voice search to find a service it shouldn't matter because according to what they offer it only takes keywords. They also said I didn't need Yelp but he strongly encouraged it. I told him on the phone that I was likely not going to do Yelp and he said 'Ok won't be a problem' They are nothing but a scam and offer 100% money back guarantee but will refuse. If you read other complaints they have the same complaint as myself and this company will use that because they know they can't deliver. APN Tech I would like my money refunded.Business Response

On October 23rd, ****** reached out for assistance regarding issues with her business's visibility on voice search. Our representative verified that her business was indeed registered on voice search; however, her information was not effectively reaching its potential audience. It was apparent that her business lacked the necessary visibility to achieve the desired results.
It's essential to clarify that voice search registration involves us submitting our clients' business information, and once this data is submitted, it cannot be retracted. Additionally, voice search directories require a complete business profile to effectively disseminate information to users engaged in voice searches. These directories may encompass platforms like ****** Business or a basic Yelp page. Furthermore, inconsistencies between the information in our software and our clients' business profiles can negatively impact their visibility.
Unfortunately, due to ******'s understandable frustration, we were unable to convey this information during our previous conversation. We genuinely empathize with her frustration and share her enthusiasm for optimizing voice search functionality to its full potential. We are committed to working together to address this issue and enhance the performance of voice search for her business.Initial Complaint

I have had there SEO service for a few months. I have not received monthly updates and I am not noticing any difference. I understand *** can take time however I decided to cancel since I was told I can cancel at any time. The problem is that you have to cancel by phone only and they do not give any direct lines. All calls go to an answering service where w are told that they have a 72 hours time frame to call back. There is no way to cancel and they will continue to bill you. Since I have not gotten any monthly reports as promised I am curious if they ever do anything except just take money and make it impossible to cancel. In what world are you only allowed to cancel over the phone instead of in writing and then they dont give you a rep or phone number other than an answering service. They are impossible, unreliable and appear to make money off the unethical cancellation policies.Business Response

After reviewing the account, it became evident that ****************** initiated a call on October 12th to discuss a cancellation request. Unfortunately, all of our representatives were engaged in ongoing phone conversations at that time. Subsequently, on October 13th, one of our account managers attempted to reach out to ****************** via phone, but they were unable to establish contact. A voicemail was left, and an email was dispatched to express our willingness to assist further.
As of October 17th, we had not received any response from the client. Consequently, we sent an email suggesting that it may be advantageous for ****************** to remain in the program for a duration of 6 to 12 months. This recommendation was made because we work with multiple platforms, each of which updates on its own timeline, and ****************** had only been in the program for approximately four months. In this email, we also offered to waive the November payment as a gesture of goodwill to ***** the client's listings the time they need to achieve optimal visibility. Within the same email, we provided our contact number and asked the client to reach out if they decided to discontinue the service.
On the same day, the client responded, expressing his inability to reach us directly by phone and requesting that we contact him instead. On October 18th, we made another attempt to contact ****************** by phone, but once again, we were unable to establish a connection. Consequently, we left a voicemail and sent another email. In a subsequent outreach effort on the same day, we managed to connect with the client. During this conversation, ****************** expressed his frustration at our previous communication challenges and conveyed his decision to cancel the account.
We promptly processed the cancellation and sent an email confirmation on the same day.Initial Complaint

Contacted by company about voice recognition search optimization. Agreed to a one time fee for services and company took way too long to reply to emails, sometimes months between communication. Have seen that APN is a scam and a lot of people are having the same thing happen to them. We never approved recurring charges, never signed anything agreeing to any work beyond the one time fee. We want a refund.Business Response

We acknowledge that you recently reached out to discuss the chargeback initiated with your issuing bank. As you've mentioned, you filed a dispute with your bank, claiming that we did not provide sufficient information, which led to the denial of the refund for your monthly payments. We appreciate your concerns, and we'd like to address this matter.
It's essential to clarify that we have indeed provided the services as agreed upon. During our previous communication, there was a verbal agreement regarding the monthly payments, and we have a record of all calls made during our interactions. This verbal contract serves as evidence of your commitment to these monthly payments.
In response to your expressed intention to pursue small claims if a refund is not granted within a week, we want to emphasize that, according to our policies, we are unable to issue a refund while the chargeback process is ongoing. We will comply with the chargeback regulations and provide all necessary documentation and communication to your issuing bank.
We understand your frustration in this situation, and we genuinely hope for a swift resolution. Please be aware that, as you mentioned, the client is requesting a refund due to the outcome of the dispute with the bank. We remain committed to addressing this matter according to the established procedures and regulations.

I paid APNTech $348.00 to be listed on multiple voice search platforms over 3 months ago. I was told it would take 3 to 4 weeks and my business had not been listed. I called requesting a full refund as promised and was only offered $100.Business Response

apnTech completely understands the frustration the customer is going through. They reached out to cancel their service and request a full refund because they felt dissatisfied with the results achieved so far. After carefully reviewing the situation, I regret to inform you that we can only provide a partial refund of $100. This decision is based on the work we have already invested and the services we have provided up to this point.
It's important to note that there are factors beyond our control, such as time frames and the speed at which listings are processed. Despite these challenges, the customer will still benefit from the lifetime syndication, which will eventually yield positive results. In recognition of the customer's frustration and inconvenience, we are offering $100 as a gesture of goodwill.
I understand that the customer agreed to this resolution, but it's completely normal for them to feel upset about the situation. I reassured the customer that the $100 refund will be processed within 7 to 14 business days. The call was then concluded.Customer Answer
