2 starsI purchased tickets to a US event using a ************* account with ******* (which is a bank also based in the **). I unfortunately had to sell the tickets before the event and have been trying to get my refund for 2 weeks. After speaking with multiple customer service **** on the phone (after being on hold for almost 2 hours and having a ***resentative hang up on me), and going through the annoying verification process through the website, I was advised that TicketMaster would only issue refunds to US accounts - the customer service *** wouldn't even accept mailing a cheque, or trying any other refund alternative (like ********* I had to ask a supervisor to call back (within ***** hours) to have a cheque request process started which should take about 6 weeks!Overall, very disappointed with TicketMaster. They make purchasing tickets very easy, but as soon as there is an issue, their customer service is terrible and getting through the bots to speak to an actual human is frustrating; their website is not user friendly when it comes to solving any issues.Review fromRICHARD L

1 starTicketmaster is ripping off. All sales are final and you can't get a dime if you have to cancel your ticket. Only medical emergency maybe you can request for reimbursement... otherwise you buy a ticket and that's it. I'll never buy another ticket from Ticketmaster.Review fromCelia A

1 starAfter ordering and paying for two seats together in the handicap section, one wheelchair accessible and a companion seat, l received one seat row H seat 6 and one row H seat 34. Calling ticketmaster is a nightmare, starting with talking to people from another country with accents that are terribly difficult to understand. It was suggested to me that l buy more tickets and sell the ones that arent right. Another *** said l could exchange the seats, but l would have to pay a fee for each seat that l want to exchange. And, l would have to exchange both seats, they cannot just exchange one seat. So l would need to pay more to fix their mistake !!! I was not happy with this, the *** * which was the third ****** l had spoken to about this, said there was nothing she could do and hung up on me. On Friday l called, the day l ordered the tickets, was told a customer service *** would call me back in ***** hours, no call. Called back on Tuesday, was given the same run around, someone will call me back in ***** hours. This is nothing but a scam !!! Their computer sold me a random ticket now its my problem and no one can fix it without me paying more money. Scam, scam , scam !!!!Beware of ticketmasterReview fromDamay J

Purchase tickets April 1st for a concert August 30th. Something came up and I won't be able to make it so I cannot get a refund so did the resale tickets June 11th and within 5 minutes someone bought them. Everything's not clear when you go to resell the tickets, after the tickets was purchased Ticketmaster told me I have to wait till after the event 5 to 7 days which is in August. So the person that purchased my tickets June 11th has tickets but I don't have my money refunded back to my card and I'm told I have to wait all the way to August. And then to get my tickets refunded money I have to give my tax ID number. This is my only time selling and I think this is a little unfair that Ticketmaster has the money I purchased for the tickets and fees and then fees to resell the tickets and money and fees from the tickets the person who bought my tickets . Ticketmaster holding my money and the person has the tickets purchase from me but I have nothing and I'm told I have to wait till August - 5 to 7 days after the concert to get my refund. Make this make sense. This sounds like a big scam . I think I should get my money refunded now since the person got the tickets. And the customer service is horrible sounded like they were reading from a book. I ask to speak to a manager or supervisor she said to me they're not going to help me they're going to tell me the same thing . So is this how customer service is supposed to treat the customers who are purchasing these tickets and reselling them? This needs to be looked into. ******* and ******* as a whole need to look into how to Ticketmaster is treating the consumers here in *******. I was reading all the horrible reviews on Ticketmaster and their parking .Ticketmaster Corp

Hello,
I am in receipt of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
At the time your ticket was posted for resale, the following expectation was communicated during the posting process across all platforms (desktop, mobile web, and app): Your payout will be sent typically within 7 business days after the event once taxpayer information is validated. This policy applies to listings made on or after January 8, 2025, and you listed your tickets after this date. Please note that our policy of paying after the event is in line with that of competitor platforms such as SeatGeek and StubHub.
When the tickets you listed sold, they became the property of the buyer. Once tickets have sold, we are unable to cancel the listing. We guarantee you will be paid out by Ticketmaster within 7 days of your event, though the final deposit timing will depend on your bank.To comply with federal and state withholding requirements, we are required to collect taxpayer information starting with your first completed sale. If the annual gross transactional amount of your sales does not exceed federal or state reporting thresholds, you will not receive a Form 1099-K from Ticketmaster.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond and address your concerns.

Ticketmaster is an absolute joke. I bought tickets during the "exclusive" presale, only to see the exact same seats drop in price days laterno warning, no refund, no accountability. When I asked for help, they basically said, "Tough luck, thanks for the money!" Meanwhile, bots snatched half the inventory in seconds, and real fans like me got stuck paying premium prices for a rigged system. Their so-called Verified Fan process might as well be called Verified Scam. Never trusting them again.Ticketmaster Corp

Hello,
I am in receipt of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer courtesy refunds. The face value price of tickets is determined by our clients. In most circumstances, face value prices are set at the time of the initial on-sale and stay the same until the event occurs. However, prices can be adjusted up or down after the tickets go on sale, prices may also vary. When an order is placed through the Ticketmaster website, it is a requirement that our Purchase Policy and Terms of Use are agreed to, including Section 11, titled Refunds, Credits, and Exchanges. Paragraph 6 outlines the following: We may occasionally offer tickets at a discount after the original on-sale date and will not refund the difference between the original price and the sale price.

Hello,
I am in receipt of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
I've checked and your event is still happening and the Event Organizer isn't authorizing refunds.
When purchasing tickets, you agreed to our Terms of Use, including our Purchase Policy which states that opening acts, as well as festival performers, are subject to change or cancelation at any time without notice. No refund will be owed if an Opening Act or festival performer is changed or canceled.
If you can't make it, I see that the options to transfer or sell your tickets is available. If you'd rather do this, select either Transfer Tickets or Sell Tickets and follow the on-screen steps.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond and address your concerns.

I purchased tickets at a higher price point, and now that ticket prices have dropped, I attempted to move to better seats even offering to pay the price difference but was told this isn't allowed. Its frustrating and feels unfair that as a loyal customer, Im penalized for purchasing early while others benefit from last-minute discounts. The fact that Im not even allowed to upgrade my seats by paying moredespite current ticket prices being lower feels like a form of price manipulation and poor customer ********** be clear, Im not asking for a refund or a discount Im simply requesting the opportunity to move to better seats. Denying that option, especially after adjusting prices downward, gives the impression of price gouging and prioritizing profit over customer experience.Ticketmaster Corp

Ticketmaster platinum pricing scammed me out of $500. I bought tickets during presale. Tickets have dropped to half the price I paid because the event is not selling.I called to see if I could get a partial refund. They told me no per the event organizer. Then I asked if they could move our seats because theres still a lot left in the front row. They told me no because theyre less value than what I paid. I literally paid MORE money than any seat price in the venue right now. Even VIP is less than what I paid and there is nothing they can do. I go to 20+ concerts a year. Never call them, never complain. This is the first time where I feel cheated and they wont help. Ticketmaster is a monopoly and scammers and I will be avoiding them like the plague.Ticketmaster Corp

1 starTerrible monopolistic company. There is no competition left in the market. They hike their fees and in return offer less and less actual support and customer service. Pre-sale tickets wound up costing over $300 more than better tickets in the same section. This business uses deceptive tactics to overcharge customers and refuses to work with them after the fact. The exchange policy states that new tickets must be of equal or greater value, but due to the overcharge, there are no comparable tickets that offer the same experience at a higher price. The only option for exchange would not include access to the ********** Also, as the problem is that the tickets are overpriced to begin with, why would a customer pay even more money to get the same tickets with the same benefits?Ticketmaster Corp
