      I've had Mercury Insurance on my vehicle for about 15 years and have never filed a claim until a month ago. About 15 vehicles were broken into and vandalized in my town in one night and mine was one of them. The only real damage was the fact they slashed the tires after they got into it. I filed a police report, and that's when they told me multiple cars got hit the same night and a bunch got their tires slashed as well. I filed the claim through the Mercury website and submitted photos and the police report. Since it's my only car, I got my car towed to a tire shop, and replaced the tires. By the time someone reached out to me, my car was already fixed, but they kept asking me what kind of animal I had hit. For some reason, my claim got mixed up with someone else. I have no idea how that's possible since I did the claim online through their website. They had to close that case and I had to open a new one, starting all over again. They told me to submit the invoice from the tire shop, which I did, and every week they would tell me it was under review, and it would take a couple days. After a little over two weeks, I finally got a call from them asking me if my car was drive-able so I can take it to one of their shops so they could see the tires. I once again let them know I fixed my car the same day the incident happened. They had all this information already and they made it seem like they didn't know. I told them I could take it to their shop whenever they wanted but they would just see new tires. They asked if I had the old tires and I told them I didn't and couldn't get them now since they called me two weeks after the incident. They did have all the photos though and the invoice. I called the next week and they told me the same thing. It was still under review. It's been over a month and now they texted me they were unable to complete the review because they need more info on the invoice. Why did it take them over a month to find this out? Bad customer service

      We have had homeowners insurance through Mercury for some time now. We have no claim until summer of 2023. And at that point Mercury Insurance quickly became the worst insurance company I have ever had the displeasure of using in my entire life. After repeated hailstorms and obvious (even to the untrained eye) visible damage to our roof, Mercury denied our claim for replacement. The first adjuster that came out said absolutely no problem and marked our roof up as appropriate. However, Mercury overextended themselves because of all of the recent damage in the local area and decided that they needed to find a way out. So they sent out a second adjuster who marked out all of the first adjusters markings on our roof and claimed no damage. What was so funny about it was that Mercury agreed that there WAS hail damage to not only our fence but also the metal that is on our roof. Its amazing to me that we did have hail damage, just not to the shingles on our roof. The second adjuster that came out to undo everything also asked us to provide a sample of the hail as well as some kind of proof of the direction the hail was coming from the day of the storm. I would love to know how we were supposed to satisfy either of those requests. And just this week, about 6 months after the roof fiasco, we received a notice of non-renewal from Mercury for a trampoline that they claim we have not proven is netted. First of all, it is netted. It has always been netted. Second, they never asked for proof so why should they have the right to go straight to non-renewal which will affect us long-term with other insurance companies? And third, we requested to cancel our insurance with Mercury to go with another more reputable company over a month ago. Our cancellation should ***** all. Do not use Mercury!!!

      Consumer: Stay away from this company. We have been paying the premium in full to this insurance company for years. This insurance company demonstrated they only want the money, but did not pay the claim for accidental water discharge damage per policy. We did cancel the policy.

      I had a substantial loss by a company they recommended and sent to my house , not only of broken items but, also items that never was returned or stolen from my house. They told me I had to take care of it even though it was their responsibility.

      They used to be great, but the recent claim adjusters are not doing their job. My adjuster has made me lose my insurance, wait 4 months and still haven't recieved an ************** letter in the mail or email, ignored my requests to contact or answer my witess calls. Made me send a recording of a voice mail from the head of the **** telling me my case was being moved to another **** because she "didn't believe me". Then ignored my calls and texts for a week before telling me my claim was moved to another **** , which i had been saying her boss mentioned 2 weeks prior. Absolutely horrible. Expensive insurance for the worst service. DO NOT USE MERCURY

      They cover NOTHING AND CARE ABOUT NO ONE. They can only read a policy but when it comes to Customerservice they say they do but their actions are very strong not supporting customers or theyre caring an ounce about retaining a long-standing customer. They are the worst and should be investigated by the BBB. Dont ever use them

      Set up a new policy in June, made my payments all good. Received an e-mail that payment was due on 12/01 on 11/24. Logged into the app to make payment, realized I needed to call with an inquiry during business hours. Life started doing its thing and I tried to log in on 12/6 to make a payment to find that my app wouldnt accept payment. Called in and was told that my policy was canceled and could not be renewed at all. Had to go to another competitor and pay $3,000 more annually because Mercury eliminate their grace ****** policy.

      Do not utilize this insurance company. They are under the belief that they can control what you can and cannot do on your own private property, including dictacting what vehicles can be parked on the premises. If this is how they treat people who are paying them for insurance, imagine what the claims process looks like for people actually affected who bow down to these people sitting behind a desk in **********. Do not give them your money or your time of day.

      This company ain't s*** On 11/8/23, in one day I made at least **************************************************************************************** "I Don't Know ". Six to eight of those calls was to a ***************************** who was the main person that I needed to speak to. At 3:04pm I tried calling once again. This fool went into b**** mode. Instead of answering my call he jumped on his computer and sent an email Instead to avoided speaking with **** made two call to this company and told these fools that calling just to ask or inquire if something was covered in my policy. Instead of just telling me that it's not covered, these fools submitted those calls or Inquiries as claims. How the h*** can just asking a question and even telling these fools that you are just asking a question be turned into a claim and now they tell me that because of there f*** up those claims can not be removed from my policy.

      I filed a claim followed the steps asked and a breakdown from the plumbing company I called to get this moving along since I havent had a working shower in over 3 months I havent heard back in one month I call every week 2-3xs asking for assistance or to speak to a supervisor they Nextel call me back there is nobody to take accountability they always say no manager is available.
