1 starShut down VIASAT! Wow I cannot believe they are still operating. One of the biggest scam artist I have every dealt with in all my yrs. I live in a Rural area and received Flyers through the **** from (3rd party contractors!!) That VIASAT Hires and they are willing to tell anyone that is is available. I found out from ONE Honest rep at Viasat that they do this and if they hook up they get a FEE For doing so. I was Told, Try it out, Under no Obligation. Unlimited High speed, streaming movies etc for 40 a month! The installer left by 8pm and did not even want to show me how it worked on my TV. WOW, and I have ATT Wireless and grandfathered in and thank goodness I did not cancel this. Well, this installer somehow Screwed up my whole TV (Through dish,Wired some how into my att line also) Att had to send out Techs to fix this. I signed NO CONTRACT Was not given any information from their installer who the service was even through! Did not sign anything Electronically! Gave them no info on me other then my name and address. So My nightmare began by 8am the next morning, searching, trying to find who provided service and calling the installer which came out. (Installer disconnected his number!) I had 4 cards which came through my Mail that this High speed was available in my area. Called those numbers and had one installer which told me I was Lied too, and who to call. Was shocked also when I looked up Viasat and seen SO MANY COMPLAINTS! Unlike other highs speed providers they have no website which you can put in a address and also see (Packages, pricing) and what might be available in your area! Spent over 4 months calling Viasat and they are RUDE, Do not listen, will hang up on you, and put you through one agent to a other and only informing you that you NEED TO PAY A 300 Cancellation FEE if you want to cancel service! How can you CANCEL A SERVICE THEY DID NOT PROVIDE? Today I get a Collection **** from Collection (VIASAT) For $676.44! Viasat NEEDS SHUT DOWN. 0 STARS!Review fromChasity J

1 starThis place is a rip-off. When I first got service they said I would have 100 download speeds. When my service was installed I got 3. I called them within 2 hours and told them and they were like you will only get up to 50 but I was lying for 100. I canceled the service within 2 hours. A few weeks later I had it restored so I could at least make calls from my phone. Well my service was suspended for non payment totally my fault but it was paid within 4 days of being due. The said my service was restored so I said ok. Well the next day I still didnt have service called back said I still dont have service she said it could take from ***** hours I said ok next day I still dont have service guys says it was restored but there is an outage in your area. Next day call back there is a message saying there is an outage in your area I wait a few days same thing. I call this morning to see when it would be restored and get credit for all the time I have had service which at this point is 10 days. He said he can only give credit for today because I havent spoken to a representative since my service was restored which is untrue and he said I had been using it which I have not because it wont work. But he knew there had been an outage in my area for over a week. But because I didnt call every day to tell them I didnt have service they could only credit today. Unbelievable they should not be allowed to do business they are ripping people off all the timeReview fromJason P

1 starThis company should be called lie-a- sat not visat. Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life and horrible service. Called 3 times to explain my crappy service ended up getting a 60 dollar wifi extender as I was told by viasat and that didn't help. Finally I called to cancel my service with them and then they want to send out a technician. To late for that especially with all the problems they cause in my household. I have had many people plus a direct TV technician tell me I should of lit my money on fire. I can't believe the guys are in business. Had service from June 24 to July ********** over 300 dollars to watch a pixel looking TV.Review fromMaddie A.

1 starIts heartbreaking because this is the only internet I can get out here thats good. We can only have satellite. I work from home and have to use the internet. My monthly **** is ******* bucks because the dish ***** down data so fast. I cant even watch ******* because I cant afford it. Im almost making no money from my job because a good bit goes to viasat. I seriously dont know what to do but I beg of them to lower the price. The pay per gig is literally theft. How hard is it to just shoot a beam into space. Im thinking about coming up with a lawsuit soon.. because this is horrible. And unfair to people who cant get internet in rural places.. theyre taking advantage of us. Also the unlimited is a freaking joke. Once you run out of data you cant even get ****** to load.Review fromROBERTA J

1 starPlease BBB SHUT THESE PEOPLE DOWN EVERYONE HAS THE SAME COMPLAINT YOU CANT NEVER REACH ANYBODY ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS SET UP AUTOPAY AND TAKE UR MONEY. EVERY NUMBER THEY HAVE IS EITHER BUSY OR IT JUST HANGS UP ON YOU. I CANT CANCEL SERVICE BECAUSE I CANT REACH ANYONE. I AM WILLIMG TO PAY THE NEXT 3 MONTHS OUT TO GET FROM UNDER THEM. 1 starIf I could give 0 Stars, I would. After 5 years of terrible service and slow internet speeds and paying nearly $200 a month for it, we sold our house and moved. (We had few options for internet where we lived.) A technician was coming out to start up the person who was moving into our house's internet with them, and offered to remove the piece of equipment that was to be returned. The tech took off the receiver and replaced it at that point. We had already left for our move to another state and have no way of getting that receiver. The tech supposedly left it at the house, which we no longer own or occupy. But Viasat charged us $95 and when we said we had no way of returning that equipment ... that the TECHNICIAN took ... they sent us to a debt collector after I made at least 5 calls to try to correct the situation. Awful, horrible company with awful, horrible speeds and service. Did I mention how awful this company is? Oh and their tech support is even worse than customer service. 1 starIf I could give it a 0 I would! We would always run out if our unlimited high speed and had speeds so slow we couldnt even register on the speed test. We couldnt run tv without buffering most of the time, I called and complained many times. They sent techs out a few times. We finally had it and went to cancel and they wouldnt waive the cancellation fee even though we had POOR service at $175: month. They should be shut down.Review fromDevin L.

1 starIf I could rate ZERO STARS I would. This company is a scam for those in rural areas with no other wifi options. They are extremely over priced, their unlimited plans are very limited. Once you reach your priority data limit and speeds are claimed to be slower it is not slow at all there is no speed it does not function. They created add on high speed data options and once that was created suddenly service was even worse. It forces you to use the expensive add on features to even utilize the wifi youre already paying a lot of money for. My **** went from a very high priced consistent amount each month to increasing by $100 each month until it reached even $800 the last month I had it due to being forced to repeatedly use the new add on feature since the speeds were so slow the wifi was useless would not work at all, if you did not add on more high speed data. The data add on option newly created is a money scam and a rip off to loyal customers who have no choice but to add on data because they stop your high speed and its the only wifi in rural areas. I am no longer a customer and now have Spectrum for $75 unlimited high speed no data caps. Where with this company I was paying $300 a month for a year, the it increased each month until it reached $800 on my last **** for the worst wifi I have ever had. They take advantage of customers who need high speed internet and live in rural areas with no other options at the time. I will never use them again. I went from $800/month with Viasat terrible speeds to $75/mo spectrum TRUE unlimited highspeed wifi.Review fromKolleen B

1 starAbsolute Scam they claim at $300 per month to give 150 gigs of high speed (100mbs) and then unlimited data at half speed. This is a lie they gave up the 100 mbs until we reached 150 gigs in 6 days and then they reduced us an average of 15mbs in non peak hours 12am-6 am and down to ****mbs during peak hours 8am-11pm. When we called outraged during our second week and stated we wanted them to come remove the equipment and cancel our service they said we have already signed a year contract and there was no window to cancel that. These people are the biggest scam artist around do not use them you will regret unless all you want is to check emails a few times a week.We had a service man come out and check that the equipment wasn't faulty he said everything is working as it is supposed to and that the company will continue to throttle the internet unless we purchase a business account for $500 per month.
