      I had a service tech come out to set up the service on June 3. 2024. At the time, the tech let me know he was unsure if the service would work due to the location I lived in. There are a lot of trees and I live at the bottom of a very large hill basically in a hole. He proceeded to set it up and said to call in if the service did not work. The next day I called in to let them know that it was not working. I was getting like 1.2 MG of speed which would not even allow me to open a webpage. They set up for a service person to come out on June 5th. He called and we discussed it. He agreed the service was not going to work where I lived and said he would inform the company. I ordered a different internet provider. They came out on June 7, 2024. On the following Monday, I called to cancel service since the tech did not actually set that up as he said he would. When I called they said that not only could I not cancel until July 28th, but I would have to pay a bill for the service even though it did not work. They kept claiming that the service tech said it was due to a VPN which is untrue, I told the tech and customer service that I don't use one. They also said I had used a bunch of internet which was also not true as once I realized it wasn't going to work we all disconnected from it. They refused to listen to me. They provided customer care and now are going to charge me $128 dollars for something that isn't even plugged in. They won't let me send back the equipment until July 28th, and they said "they can't guarantee speed" even though it straight up did not work. I got sent to 3 people though I'm pretty sure all three people were the same person as they sounded exactly the same. They offered no solution and basically told me "Yes we are going to steal your money and not provide service. ***** to be you. This is a horrible company, and I hope no one else falls victim to their predatory scheme.

      **************** is horrible and very rude. I've tried to return my hardware early because I've heard about them trying to charge extra and they won't accept their stuff back. I've tried to talk to the main headquarters they said I can't. they have slowed my Internet speed to pretty much nothing and tells me everything is ok on their end. STAY AWAY FROM VIASAT.

      DO NOT USE VIASAT! Never have I been treated so awful by a business...NEVER!ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER SIGNING YOUR CONTRACT! ZERO! I cry everyday because of the stress from these evil evil people. My child (who was a straight A Honor roll student) missed all of her exams due to them "not having anyone in the area for a service call" ITS BEEN 3 WEEKS WITHOUT SERVICE! 3 WEEKS!!! A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY CANT DO A SERVICE CALL IN 3 WEEKS??? GRRRRRRR

      I obtained Viasat 3 yeatrs ago for internet. However, once installed, the internet service would NOT work. After several calls speaking with foreigners, I finally was able to speak to a manager who said he would close the account with no money due. Now, 23 years later, this company has turned it over to collections.I would NOT recommend this service to anyone. They are a foreign company and DO NOT have good customer service. And, obviously they are liars.

      viasat will lie about their easy care. The people over seas tell you if they send a tech out and he finds nothing wrong you have to pay the service call. If you are lucky enough to get a us repersentative they ****'t know why the over seas people tell you that[it's not true]. A tech told me that when you have trouble they get you to reboot then it starts to work again but the next you have the same problem but they tell you the system is working and a srevice call will cost 95 dollars even if you have easy care. I change over to unleashed the day before the billing cycle stoped, they told me my bill would be 124 dollars. The next day I checked it was 274 dollars. Viasat are a bunch of theives.

      Unbelievably bad service. We bought the new "unleashed" service for $99/mo. We were told we didn't need to lease the modem for the extra $15/mo because we already owned an viasat modem outright. We were assured that the we would only be billed the $99/mo. Of course they lied, and are billing us for a modem monthly. When I complained about it to customer "service" we were told that we were paying that fee for the "transceiver" (which was never mentioned to us when signing up. The technician who came to check out our modem told me they'd have to put in a new one, but we would not be charged because we already had one. Made no sense, but we fell for it. He took our old modem which belonged to us, saying he would mail it to viasat, so we would not be billed for a new one, but the customer service person said, "That isn't how it works, blah, blah, blah.Normally, I never ascribe to deviousness what can better be ascribed to incompetencee, but in this case it is apparently both. Upshot - avoid this company.

      I was a Viasat internet customer but their modem went out and they couldnt provide me with internet unless I paid them $99.00 to come out and replace their own faulty equipment, Really? All about Greed, I canceled my internet and they want to charge me $72.00 for cancellation, Im not paying them for their equipment, if they would have replaced it I wouldnt have cancelled. Bad business, then they sent the charge to a collection agency, harassment and greed.
