BEWARE! Breg sent me a bill for an item I've never received. for a patient I have no association with (or ever met), and is threatening to foward to a collection agency. I have no IDEA who this person is, WHAT this item is. I've called them to raise this as FRAUD and they continue to send me these bills.Breg

Breg is corporate trash. All of their medical equipment is junk. They literally made me a custom knee brace with my valgus deformity built in. You heard me right they made me a crooked-leg brace for my crooked-leg. How is a crooked leg brace supposed to offload weight? Unfortunately I have no other choice. Other companies like Ossur offer built in angles of Correction in their leg braces. ***** wants you to have a brace that's just as crooked as your leg while claiming it somehow offers correction.Breg

Absolutely horrible and obviously fraudulent billing. the comment in Bregg responses below that they billed insurance allowables in categorically untrue. My issue has been referred to the state AGs office.I am willing to pursue a class action suit if there are interested parties that come to this venue. It requires a star rating. My rating is negative stars. Used one as required for this review. BBB should amend this star requirement.Breg

This company is a rip off and takes advantage if the insurance system and the patient. Insurance was billed $200.00 for a shoulder brace that was between $15-25 on medical supply stores as well as amazon and ******** They "lowered" the bill for me to $120.00 since I had not met my deductible. This company is predatory and is making money off of junk. My Breg brace broke in the 3rd week post surgery and was unusable. This company is a joke.Breg

They keep sending me past due notices. I have emailed them my online receipt of payment along with proof from my bank that the payment cleared over a month ago. Waiting for a response. Reading the reviews makes me extremely nervous dealing with this company and getting the issue resolved.Breg

My son was given a Breg brace at our orthopedic center. Our insurance denied the claim for the device since he had not met his deductible yet and so we received a bill for $78.59. This exact brace sells for approximately $30 on multiple websites. I would be happy to pay a reasonable price for this, but they are obviously doubling the price for insurance and then expecting me to pay that price, when it is worth less than half of that. Why am I responsible for paying the price they negotiated with insurance when the claim was denied?Breg

When discharged from Banner Health I signed a document "supposedly" that said I needed a "******" a cheap Chinese "******" mind you that I was charged $110 for. I didn't need a "******". At the time of discharge, the hospital put it in the back of my vehicle when I was loading up to go home.. I wasn't told I signed anything confirming it's purchase. No-one told me what I was signing ... I didn't have my reading glasses and just wanted out the hospital. I caught COVID while in the ** which no one diagnosed. The "******" can be purchase anywhere online for $30. With this kind of a markup, of course the hospital isn't going to tell anyone they're being charged for it. They're incentivized the hospital to sell it to non-suspecting patients eager to get out of that place. When calling **************** they told me I had 30 days to return it. I didn't even know I bought it till the bill showed up 46 day later. I wouldn't have bought it if I thought they were charging me for it. I want this bill to go away. I take it back to the hospital so they can victimize another outgoing patient.Breg

Absolutely the worst billing department experience possible, and Im in healthcare! In spite of multiple calls to the billing department to ensure Breg had my most current insurance information to submit to billed my insurer *********** including a phone discussion between Breg and my insurer to inform Breg how to submit the claim, Breg never submitted the claim. This was followed by me submitting insurance information again to Bregs secure portal, but claim was not submitted. I finally directed Breg to send me an itemized statement and I will submit. Im sure middle insirer could do a more thorough job.Breg

This company is a RIP OFF. They charge a 500 percent mark up on there products when they are provided through medical facility to the patient when you have not met your deductible. Boycott these medical facilities that use there product and the Bregs company. These medical facilities get some sort of kick back from Bregs by using there product. There product is a cheap, Chinese made brace that can be purchased on the internet for much cheaper. the brace goes for $35.00 and they charged $189.00 and at $35.00 the companies online are still making money.Breg

Thank you for reaching out to us. The prices billed are based on a patient's insurance contract and their plan details. Breg does not sell products directly to patients; we rely on our network of authorized distributors and healthcare providers. Our products are highly regulated medical devices dispensed at the discretion of healthcare providers. Cold therapy products are Class II devices and require a prescription from your healthcare provider. Please exercise caution when buying our products through online retailers; their return policies and warranties may differ from Bregs policies, and in some cases unauthorized resellers provide counterfeit products.Review fromLinda S

Have been billed three times for the same item and amount. Remitted the payment with the first bill but have been billed twice since then for the same thing. After the second bill, I called customer service and sent the documentation to *****.******[at.companyname.com] The only response I have had is a third bill. In the documentation, I sent them a copy of the online bill pay, showing the payment had been sent on 3/19/24 and that the check cleared on 3/26/24. Also I now have backup from the bank directly that the check cleared.Am sending the company a certified letter and have reported them to the ******** Advantage fraud and abuse line, as I am a medical POA and am having trouble with several billers. I want to believe this is just back office incompetence; however, seeing how the elderly are treated when they become infirm has been eye-opening! From my perspective this is at the least ***** and possibly outright fraud! I'm just trying to take care of my mother during end-of-life and these people are making my life much more miserable than it needs to be.Breg
