Charging me a 200 some dollars for my daughter's wrist brace that you can buy at ********* and Amazon for less than 30 dollars. It's ridiculous how much they charged. ****** care gave my daughter a wrist ***** and didn't inform my teenage daughter and my husband that it would cost us and it would cost that much. So I was surprised that I got a bill for more than 200 dollars. It didn't even say what are we getting charged for, just the amount.I had to ****** what kind of company is Breg, for me to find out why there's a bill. And based on all the reviews that I've read, a lot of people are getting ripped off and not so happy about this company.

Thank you for reaching out! Breg is committed to providing our customers with high quality and service. This is why we disclose Bregs billing information on the Breg ******* Services Proof of Delivery form that is signed when the brace is given to the patient. The medical clinic will either provide a pink hard copy of this form or email a copy to your preferred email address. Bregs billing information includes a Product Price List printed on page 2. If you received a pink hard-copy form, page 2 is located on the back of the pink copy. The Product Price List provides an estimated price for each product category. The medical clinic issues this form so the patient may review pricing at the time of service. It is important to note the exact amount owed will vary as this is determined by the patients insurance plan, deductible and secondary coverage. If you would like to know more about the pricing of the brace, please email ************************************************ are happy to review your account to discuss insurance benefits and how the patient portion of the bill was determined.Thank you!

My son was given an ankle support wrap by Breg after visiting ****************** for a sprained ankle. It was so flimsy that it ripped immediately the next morning when he was putting it on and he was never able to use it. Now I just received a bill for $44.87 from Breg - after my insurance has already paid for a portion of it. I didn't know we would get charged *** more for the boot otherwise I would've returned the broken ankle strap and asked for a replacement. My son never was able to use it and now I'm getting charged $44 after insurance! If you are offered anything from urgent care and it's by Breg, refuse it and just order from somewhere else.

WOW!! I am shocked that there is a company out there dealing with major medical facilities that is hugely ripping off insurance companies and when they finish ripping off the insurance company, they then go after the patient to attempt to rip them off too. Breg attempted sent a bill for the balance the insurance refused to pay. I went to the local ******************** 6 months ago for a foot injury, and received a boot. Breg billed my insurance company $425 for a simple boot that is around $40 on Amazon. My insurance finally paid them $176, which is still hugely overpriced, and now they have sent me an invoice for the balance of the payment. I already received a statement from my insurance that my bill has been paid in full. This is a another example of a company completely ripping off insurance companies and patients too. I have reported them to my local *************** and asked why they are doing business with a company that is so unethical and focused purely on greed. This is an example of why our country is in so much debt related to the ***** care system. There needs to be sooo much more oversight from our government and the health care industry in general to stop this kind of blatant greed and rip off of patients and their insurance.

Hello ******,Thank you for reaching out! Breg is committed to providing our customers with high quality and service. This is why we disclose Bregs billing information on the Breg ******* Services Proof of Delivery form you signed when the device was issued. If you still have your Breg ******* Services form, please refer to Page One. This patient signature page has a Patient Acknowledgement Section which includes ***************** Responsibility and refers the patient to Page 2 for the Product Price List. Page 2 of the Breg ******* Services form provides the estimated price for each product category. The exact amount owed will vary as this is determined by the patients insurance plan, deductible, and secondary coverage. You expressed concern that Bregs price of $425 was too high and considered this ******** fraud. Upon review of your account, you received 2 products from Breg. The one device you mentioned in your review has a Breg price list of $400. This list price is comparable to the price range established by the Center for ******** and ******** Services. CMS provides a complete listing of fees for suppliers to use when billing for medical equipment. ******** has posted the allowable amount for the device you received as $395.88. ******** has posted this fee schedule for public viewing. I was on the phone with Breg yesterday with a rep then a supervisor. They charged my insurance company ****** for a $30 sling. Looks like they mark up their product about 900-1000%. They want me to pay the remaining $8.56 for this overpriced sling. First ******* said that I could not talk to a manager and then put one on after a ***** minute wait. I will try again today. In looking at the one hundred plus, one-star reviews that this company needs to make some billing changes instead of price gouging the patients. If I have to have another surgery I will definitely buy a premium Vive or BraceAbilitysling and bring it to the hospital.

I sprained my knee in another state where my insurance doesn't cover, was seen at an urgent care, and given a knee brace that I had to sew three times because it was falling apart. I then receive a bill for $240 for the same knee brace listed on Amazon for $61.25. I called Breg and was told that Breg has a "contractual agreement" with the urgent care for that price. After many phone calls, emails not answered, sending me the bill twice, I spoke to a manager who told me she would take 30% off which would be $168. I asked if she would take more off, like the urgent care center did, if I paid in full. She said no. Then I told them I would be paying $10 a month until it was paid, and she alluded to sending me to collections. I emailed them twice and called twice when I went to pay the bill, and it was still $240. A WEEK later I spoke to a ***** who stated it wasn't on the **** and "not exactly legal, what you were told" and brought the price down to $90. I paid it so I didn't have to deal with this awful company who overcharges. Why should I pay for your "contractual agreement" and pay for an overpriced knee brace, that was of inferior quality, and is that legal in the first place? Shame on you Breg. You are what's wrong with this whole insurance business. I want to know who to report you to.

I have received several text messages that tell me to click on a link. No thank you. I have no idea what this bill is. I have never received a paper statement on whatever it is I owe. Reading these reviews, I think I know what it may be in relation to but come on Breg - do better. With the amount of robocalling, phishing texts, etc. You have to do better in getting information to the receiver. Today I received a phonecall with an automated message that just tells me to call a number to make a payment over the phone. It's crazy. Why don't I have a paper copy of this so called bill? Why can't I speak to a person that will give me specifics about this charge I am supposed to pay? And if this gets reported to collections - I will be even more frustrated as that takes an act of Congress to dispute and get removed. Be clear with your billing and you might have more cooperative customers!!

they over charged me for a thumb and wrist brace that is 20$ in any pharmacy , they charged my insurance 300$ ( they stated that out of pocket cost would be around 60$ ) and I had to pay out of pocket 160.48$ for a 20$ wrist and thumb brace.please ask your provider about these hidden costs and verify the pricing of any products you receive online before taking them

Thank you for reaching out to us. Insurance plans expect the best possible outcome for their patients, so insurance pricing is inclusive of the service aspect the insurance requires of their contracted supplier and is subject to the deductible and/or co-insurance you selected when purchasing your insurance plan. Purchasing a product in a retail store or online puts the onus on the customer to determine whether or not the product fits properly, is being used correctly, or is appropriate for the injury or condition that the product is intended to treat.

I have paid my bill and have even told the rude people that I talked to that this bill has been paid and I have proof. The one guy I talked to said for me to send my bank statement, as in no way. I have nothing to hide, but I am not sending my bank statement to them or no one else. I have had 2 texts saying I still owe this bill. I am not paying twice for a large boot and a medium boot that neither fit. I had 2 fractured feet and its a wonder I didnt fall in those boots and break something else. This is ridiculous to put people through this.

I have been trying to pay my invoice online and the Breg website doesn't have my invoice. They want to send my invoice to collections because they cant fix their website to show this invoice. I have paid several invoices online over the past 3 years. They messed up my last invoice and I had to pay more. Now they can't add this invoice and would like me to pay over the phone? They charge extravagant prices for braces you can purchase at ******************* etc for 1/3 of the price. I will never again accept a brace from the hospital/ER. I will just go to one of the other places to get what I need. I would like a response to my last invoice. I don't want to pay over the phone and I would like to see the updated invoice on my Breg account online.
