      I saw an ad on ******** for a dress that was advertised for $51.67 (marked down from $79.50). This was one of many different items that were advertised at a discount, but when I went to the website to buy it, it said that it was excluded from promotions. I contacted Torrid.com via ******** Messenger with screenshots of the ad as well as a screenshot of what the website said. They said, "Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. Our ******** ads are posted through a third party advertising firm and they are intended for advertising purposes only. We are only able to honor the sale prices displayed from our direct website at this time. We appreciate your understanding." I replied, "But you can't advertise something falsely like that." They replied, "We absolutely understand your frustration and apologize for any inconvenience. We appreciate honest feedback directly from our customers and at this time we have forwarded your comments to our teams." I replied again, "You are not going to honor what is advertised? Am I understanding this correctly?" They replied, "Unfortunately this item is excluded from promotions, however we would be happy to issue a reward to put towards your purchase when you get back to us with the email address linked to your loyalty account." My final reply (which they did not respond to) was, "But it was advertised otherwise so I will need to talk to the BBB or find where to report this now." In addition to reporting it here, I filed a complaint with the **** I didn't want to be bought out with a "reward". Accountability would be nice. Don't advertise deals that you won't honor!

      S C A M!! I HAVE SCREEN SHOTS OF MY ORDER AND MY RECIEPT AND IT DOES NOT SAY FINAL SALE ANYWHERE..............UNTIL I WENT TO RETURN IT....i ORDERED 2 SIZES OF ONE ITEM AND THEY WONT TAKE EITHER ONE BACK...I WISH I READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE I PURCHSED...ON TO DIV OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS W MY CHECKOUT SCREEN SHOTS AND MY RECIEPT WITH NOTHING NOTED AS A FINAL SALE.......

      Torrid received a return of items totaling $71.16 on Nov. 13, 2022 leaving a balance of $16.08 on my account 8 days before the minimum payment of $43.00 was due. Knowing that I had over a week for that credit to process, I did not make a minimum payment of $43 by November 21, because that would create an in credit balance of $26.92. I incurred a late fee of $30 because an incoming credit from my bank was not received by that date, the return credits despite showing up on my statement with the November 13th date, were not applied and backdated to make the account accurate. When I finally dug in to the statements and called the customer service rep "we can't control when the stores send us the credits, it's in your terms and conditions to make the minimum payment irrespective of credits."This cannot be legal. Requiring customers to overpay because accounts cannot be reconciled for over a week is a broken credit mechanism between Commenity and Torrid is abhorrent. I won't be doing business with either of them again.

      Despite being a company that caters to plus size people, Torrid has repeatedly tried to pass off sizes that are smaller than most other plus size brands. This item is at least two sizes smaller than any other similar item I own from other companies that are labeled the same size. Shame on Torrid. The website is slow and glitchy and I haven't been impressed with Torrid quality, style or prices for a very long time. Also, they charged me $6 shipping an item of low quality and too small for the stated size. They then wanted $6 to return the item! They do not exchange online items! They expect $12 from the consumer when a wrong size is ordered! Completely unacceptable!

      Horrible customer service. Returned something in June 2022. Refund was put back onto a gift card that I discarded when I originally used it. For months I have been told different things. The last thing I was told was that there are no time limits on when they could reissue me a new gift card with my refund. It's been almost 7 months. Really? It takes that long? They are full of *****. I will never shop with them again.

      More than half of my orders placed through Torrid have cancelled items due to them being out of stock. Over the course of a year 5 of my 8 orders had items that became out of stock. They were in stock when my order was placed and then days later I am notified that the item is now out of stock. Their shipping times are longer than almost any other retailer. Their customer service simply says were sorry for the inconvenience and that's that. I kept giving them chances but not anymore. I purchased a dress to wear for an event and now that dress is no longer in stock. The company has to be aware of this but they don't seem to care because over the course of a year it has not changed. The quality of their clothing is not good enough to continue to patron them. I would have left them no stars, but in order to leave a review you much provide a star rating. They do not even deserve the 1 star and D- rating they currently have.

      All my shirts bought from this place now have holes where they sit at the button on my jeans. The seams of many of my hoodies from here are ripping open. The quality of their clothing is not worth the price. Their return policy is not helpful at all.

      I don't know why I keep giving them chances... I'm done. First it was the shrinkflation that they started back in 2017. The clothing quality went down and prices went up. Nothing that I bought from there would last anymore. I have stuff from them dating back to ********************* decent shape, but nothing since 2017 since it's all been bad quality. There was also an issue a few years back: their e-mail system was sending me private conversations between them & other customers, which included all of private information of the customers. It took WEEKS for anybody to let a supervisor know about it. Meanwhile, until it was fixed, they told me that it was my 'legal' responsibility to forward the conversations to the rightful recipients. Nowadays everything is constantly on sale, and as we all know: when everything is on sale, nothing is actually on sale. It's a ploy to drain more money out of consumers. Also, don't get me started on how the fashion aspect has gone way downhill. Most recently I had an issue where I put in the right address on their website but the confirmation e-mail said that it was going to my old address. I emailed, live chatted, AND called them to try and change the address, but they wouldn't allow it and told me to have the package rerouted once it shipped. Problem? They restricted delivery options with the carrier, so I was not allowed to. Because of that, I called back and asked for a refund. They told me that I had to wait 5 days after it was delivered TO THE WRONG ADDRESS before they would give me a refund. I call back 5 days after it was delivered, and I'm told that they meant 5 BUSINESS days. Then I call back after the 5 business days, and they tell me that it was delivered 2 days ago, and that I had to call back in 3 more business days to get a refund. It wasn't until I told the gal on the phone that I could send screenshot proof of the delivery date and time stamp that she would process the refund.
