My credit score went down by 17 points due to my because of my balance decreasing by 92 dollars. I don't carry any balances, never been late, no derogatory accounts, no collection. I pay a medical bill for 92 dollars on my **************** card and pay it off the next day. I haven't applied for credit or open any new accounts. This happens every year it says my credit score went down because I pay off a credit account before the due day. All my other accounts my score is over 800 besides Experian. Trying to call and talk with someone is like an act of Congress. Once I did get someone. They said it wasn't suppose to deceased but could not do anything about it but give me excuses. This is a bad credit company. Since I won't subscribe to Experian online service I found that my Credit score stays 30 to 40 points lower than the other two credit companies. I am never late on any of my bills and rarely use over 6% of my total credit on any of my cards. I am going to write a letter to the ************* Attorney General about your practices to black mail the public in order to make money on YOUR credit subscription. All my credit behavior is fine it's this company behavior that need to be adjusted.Experian Consumer Services

Thank you for writing and expressing your concern regarding your membership with Experian. Our records indicate that you are currently enrolled in a complimentary membership with Experian CreditWorks Basic. Your membership benefits currently include access to your Experian report and FICO Score once every 30 days, free of charge.Your FICO(R) Score is calculated based on the data in your credit report at the time you request your credit report and score. Every time you request a new score, a new credit report is pulled, and your new score is calculated based on the information in your credit report, up to once a day. Be aware, your credit report *** change often. Differences in your score *** be due to a change in balance on one or more of your credit cards, payment updates, or the addition of new accounts. Even the fact that your account(s) is one month older can affect your score. If there are inaccuracies on your credit report, these could also be affecting your score and should be disputed directly with the credit-reporting agency providing that information. In general, there are many factors that can affect an individuals credit score, such as payment history, current debt, available credit to debt ratio, etc. The actual scoring model and its calculations are proprietary to Fair ***** Corporation. Credit scores are usually calculated based on the combination of all the credit factors in your credit report. Your credit score is not based solely on one single item or behavior. So although you *** have done something that you think should have changed your score, the FICO(R) Score actually looks at how this information combines with other information in your credit report and how, if any, this changes your credit score. Your score *** go up, down, or remain constant depending on each factor as well as a unique combination of factors. The score analysis section that comes with your FICO(R) Score should help you understand what specific credit factors had a positive and negative affect on your FICO(R) Score.Review fromJon F

Thank you for writing and expressing your concern regarding your membership. Our records indicate you enrolled in Experian CreditWorksSM Basic on June 2, 2019, and that you have changed monitoring products over 25 times during those years. Most recently, our records show that you ordered a credit report along with a trial membership In Experian CreditWorksSM Premium on July 8, 2023. The membership was not cancelled; consequently, in accordance with the published terms of our offer, the credit card provided was charged our monthly membership fee of $29.99 on July 18, 2023. Your membership has changed to no benefits on July 25, 2023 in an effort to stop your billing from reoccurring. Our website describes the offer and the order form details the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing at the end of the trial and monthly thereafter unless and until the customer notifies us of their wish to discontinue. The consumer agrees to these terms when submitting their order. We have, as a courtesy, issued a refund totaling $29.99 on July 20, 2023. Please allow 3 - 5 business days for these funds to process to the credit card account. At this time, we would like to express our regret that your experience with Experian CreditWorksSM may not have met your expectation or our standard of excellence. We strive for exceptional customer satisfaction and hope we have addressed your area of concern to your expectation.Review fromMax N

The Experian website is broken. When the error page comes up they give a phone number, but the phone number leads to an automated line that never reaches a real person and never gives an option for tech support. No matter what options you choose on the automated line it will get to a place where it just hangs up on you without ever reaching an agent. The product is completely broken and there's no way to get any help, and this credit report is required for me to get my power turned on.I would never give this business money, ever.Experian Consumer Services

This is a bad credit company. I have credit score 820's in both Equifax and Transunion. But, since I don't subscribe to Experian online service I found that my Credit score stays 30 to 40 points lower than the other two credit companies.I will not submit to their blackmail just to increase my credit score to where should be and I plan to report them to my State Senator. This has been going on for last two years with Experian. This criminal and should stop.Experian Consumer Services

Experian is the worst company I have dealt with in a long time. We pay our credit cards in full every month, yet Experian shows a balance from May that indicates the amount due hadn't been paid. I have documentation from my bank and the credit card company confirming payment in full was received. Our June payment was also made in full and bank and credit card company shows that one received and paid in full as well. Yet, I can't get anyone on the phone to help me and our FICO credit report still show the May payment as due!! Incompetent beyond imagination!!Experian Consumer Services

I have not been able to access a 3 bureau Experian credit report in more than 2 years, however, they continue to steal my banking information and charge my bank accounts for monthly service for the past 2 years. The most recent theft of information was in the past 30 days, where my account info was compromised by Experian. I NEVER provided my banking details, however, they charged my account. Again, ********************** has NOT even been able to provide me with a 3 bureau report in more than 2 years.Experian Consumer Services

Absolute s*** show of a CRA. Not just incompetent on the way they are stewards of their data, and harvesting and reselling your personal information as some stain on society data broker, but in terms of the security of your data, the way their systems are unclear, unhelpful, the way they commoditize with the expanded FCRA data sets, the disgusting way they lobby for more parasitizing of people,. the lack of power given to the people over their data, with all the barriers to entry for the common folk who are not familiar with the opaque, gated way to navigate their systems holding information about you.Wouldnt **** on them if they were on fire. 1 star, pointless entity, much like mosquitos and similarly wouldnt be missed if they ceased to exist. One of many interactions from my perspective - swapping bank accounts for payment for one of their services - they locked me out of my account and wouldnt even let me update the payment, despite numerous phone calls. It took a complaint to BBB to unfuck things, by downgrading me to a "free account" so I could access my own data and see (as is my right) my own information to make changes etc.Experian Consumer Services

I understand that Experian would like to respond to everyone's issues of customers that have reached out to express their concerns and issues with this company. I have already had my share of issues and until I directly complained to the BBB is when anything was done about it. But why is Experian responding back on private and confidential information about this consumers. on a review you should not be putting any account details doesn't matter how small they are. I legit believe that's you are violating all consumer rights and privacy. ON MY END OF ALL THE CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES YOU ARE THE WORST!!! ZERO RATING!!!!!!!!!! I HAD TO ADD 1 STAR IF NOT IT WON'T LET ME POST. THAT'S HOW BAD THIS SYSTEM IS. I HAVE HAD A PERFECT HISTORY AND YOUR COMPANY IS THE WORST IN DECIDING HOW THE CREDIT SCORE IS MEASURE AND DECIDED. I HAVE PERFECT CREDIT AND TO YOUR STANDARDS IS FAIR !!!! YOU REALLY NEED TO CHANGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR HIRE STAFF TO REALLY ANALIZED THINGS CORRECTLY.Experian Consumer Services

Thank you for informing us of your recent experience with Experian. Experian prides itself on providing an excellent customer experience, and vigilantly strives to provide the highest standards of customer care and satisfaction. We realize that you may have seen a discrepancy in the score you received from a third party related to your credit application and the score provided as part of your membership. We try to make it a point to inform our customers that various scoring models are available in the marketplace and have different potential uses. For instance, we include a disclosure on our site describing the score provided with the credit monitoring membership you purchased. Here, the score that is provided as part of your membership is the FICO(R) 8 model based on Experian(R) data. It is a score that many lenders use in the credit application decision-making process. FICO(R) Scores, ranging from 300 to 850, are developed by Fair ***** Corporation which specializes in developing credit-scoring systems for lenders and other businesses. This can help you see and understand how lenders may view your credit worthiness. It is used by many lenders and is indicative of your overall credit risk. Certain industries may use custom credit scores that are tailored to their specific needs. The custom scores may be unique to a specific industry, such as mortgage lending or auto lending. These custom scores may be created based on information found in credit reports together with other information from the lenders own portfolio, such as account history. We hope that this provides you some clarity as to the discrepancy between the two scores you received and the various scores available in the marketplace. We appreciate the time you took to send us your comments and suggestions. We value the input from our customers and assure you we will give serious consideration to the issues you presented to us. It is through information provided by customers as you that we are able to improve our products and memberships. We hope the above information is helpful to you in considering this matter.
