I finally spoke to a live person and she hung up on me! This is the number listed online 1833,467,1570. Experian emailed me saying that I no longer have a FICO score when I've had an account with them for several years and have a good credit score. They delete my credit score! It says unscorable! I'm trying to delete my account with them but it's impossible! It's my belief that they're violating many laws! The **** needs to look into Experian and bring them down! It was easy for me to speak to someone at Equifax. Delete my info from your database! I'm currently seeking a Consumer Protection Attorney to see if I can **** We should all come together to form a class action lawsuit against this horrible company!Experian Consumer Services

I have tried to contact Experian customer ********************** for 3 days now, multiple different telephone numbers and I cannot get a real human representative on the phone. I have an issue that needs to be resolved immediately to move along with my home buying process. I do not have time for writing a letter and waiting for a response. I want to speak to a representative now. This has been the worst experience ever. The other Credit Bureaus resolved my issue swiftly and immediately. This is unacceptable.Experian Consumer Services

Using Experian in the past has been a breeze, yet I do not know if I can continue to rely on them solely. In my Experian account, they ************************ my TransUnion credit score 30 points higher than my actual TransUnion score was reported when I applied for a card Experian matched for me. When I called, I received the run around with an agent who could not explain to me why the TransUnion score on Experian was so vastly different than what TransUnion directly provided. The first story I was given, was the TransUnion score in Experian is based on a different model than the TransUnion score directly from TransUnion. Then, when I asked why and where this is stated to potential card seekers when debating whether to take on a new card? The story was changed to Experian having no control over what TransUnion reports to them. I ultimately hung up right after I was told this, as these are conflicting stories. I still have no answers as to what went wrong. It leaves me with more questions than answers. I checked both scores today again and they were still 20 points off. How will I expand my credit if the information I am being provided is not dependable? How will I know what I can alter for better card candidacy next time. I am all for outsourcing/call centers but they should know the intricacies of the company to provide reasonable explanations.Experian Consumer Services

Thank you for expressing your concerns regarding the FICO(R) Score 8 included in your membership. We realize that you may have seen a discrepancy in the score you received from a lender related to your credit application and the score provided as part of your membership. We try to make it a point to inform our customers that various scoring models are available in the marketplace and have different potential uses. For instance, we include a disclosure on our site describing the score provided with the credit monitoring membership you purchased. Here, the score that is provided as part of your membership is the FICO(R) 8 model based on Experian(R) data. It is a score that many lenders use in the credit application decision-making process. FICO(R) Scores, ranging from 300 to 850, are developed by Fair ***** Corporation which specializes in developing credit-scoring systems for lenders and other businesses. This can help you see and understand how lenders may view your credit worthiness. It is used by many lenders and is indicative of your overall credit risk. Certain industries may use custom credit scores that are tailored to their specific needs. The custom scores may be unique to a specific industry, such as mortgage lending or auto lending. These custom scores may be created based on information found in credit reports together with other information from the lenders own portfolio, such as account history. We hope that this provides you some clarity as to the discrepancy between the two scores you received and the various scores available in the marketplace.Review fromAlicia F

Experian collects data for 2 of my credit cards. They are always behind. But, this month they failed to report a line of credit from a credit union. Thus, my credit score went down. It took months to unfreeze my credit with this company. They offer a bait and switch program though. This company is inefficient and unreliable. I will limit my exposure to this company as much as possible.Experian Consumer Services

Your FICO(R) Score is calculated based on the data in your credit report at the time you request your credit report and score. Every time you request a new score, a new credit report is pulled, and your new score is calculated based on the information in your credit report, up to once a day. Be aware, your credit report *** change often. Differences in your score *** be due to a change in balance on one or more of your credit cards, payment updates, or the addition of new accounts. Even the fact that your account(s) is one month older can affect your score. If there are inaccuracies on your credit report, these could also be affecting your score and should be disputed directly with the credit-reporting agency providing that information. In general, there are many factors that can affect an individuals credit score, such as payment history, current debt, available credit to debt ratio, etc. The actual scoring model and its calculations are proprietary to Fair ***** Corporation. Credit scores are usually calculated based on the combination of all the credit factors in your credit report. Your credit score is not based solely on one single item or behavior. So although you *** have done something that you think should have changed your score, the FICO(R) Score actually looks at how this information combines with other information in your credit report and how, if any, this changes your credit score. Your score *** go up, down, or remain constant depending on each factor as well as a unique combination of factors. The score analysis section that comes with your FICO(R) Score should help you understand what specific credit factors had a positive and negative affect on your FICO(R) Score. In regards to your security freeze, we recently updated our processes for administering security freezes. To add or remove a security freeze online, a consumer must visit www.experian.com/freeze. Experian act like they can care less about information submitted to them regarding disputes. I dont believe they do any real investigating. There was a credit card opened in my name fraudulantly and i provided information to all 3 credit bureaus and everyone except experian seemed to see the elephant in the room and they continue to keep the negative account on my **********************. There is no one you can talk to over the phone and the mail correspondance takes forever. This bureau sure knows how to tick people off. I think there is really no need for this agency.Experian Consumer Services

Thank you for writing and expressing your concern regarding your membership with Experian. Our records indicate that you ordered a credit report along with a trial Experian IdentityWorksTM Premium membership on July 12, 2023. The membership was not cancelled; consequently, in accordance with the published terms of our offer, the credit card provided was charged our monthly membership fee on July 23, 2023. Per your request, your paid benefits ceased, effective July 24, 2023. Our website describes the offer and the order form details the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing at the end of the trial and monthly thereafter unless and until the customer notifies us of their wish to discontinue. The consumer agrees to these terms when submitting their order. We have, as a courtesy, issued a refund totaling $24.99 on July 24, 2023. Please allow 3 - 5 business days for these funds to process to the credit card account. At this time, we would like to express our regret that your experience with Experian CreditWorksSM may not have met your expectation or our standard of excellence. We strive for exceptional customer satisfaction and hope we have addressed your area of concern to your expectation.Review fromLuis G
