If I could rate lower than 1 star I would. For over a week now I've been trying to get my account activated. Customer ********************** is completely useless. They tell me I have an account, it's terminated, so to make a new one.Well I tried that and it errored out. I can't complete the registration, well I try calling the number the error gave me and it's almost impossible to get to a human. So I had to say "dispute" and have them transfer me to account services. After finally getting to someone, they tried telling me to create the account online. I said (multiple times), "I can't, it won't let me". They tried setting up an account for me, but can't because my email address is already in process of creating an account. I said yes, that's why I"m calling. So she tried using a different email account. Somehow my SSN and DOB don't match, and now my father can't login to his account either. They are telling me to just send a copy of my driver's license to the ** BOX, but they gave me no reference number or further instruction. I can then in 5 days try calling and creating a new account. I am certainly not going to blindly send my personal info to a random ** BOX. How will anyone know what it's for? This is infuriating as it's preventing me from getting approvals on things. DO BETTER!Experian Consumer Services

They are terrible! I was told by **************** and **** of America someone was applying for cards to them with Experian credit reports and that I should call them. My report has addresses and inquiries that aren't mine. 1st- Via phone they won't let you through. Automated systems says "I can't get you to a specialist" and regurgitates the same info. 2nd- Tried to submit online. Did all the documentation and their 'upload center' just says 'try mailing us' each time I submit....over and over. 3rd- Same with creating a 'free' account. Just comes back to the same page. Bottom line - they don't want to talk to you or help. I can't talk nor email anyone with my request to alert or freeze queries on my account!Experian Consumer Services

I am on a fixed income, and I'm having to check and verify all charges and cancel unwanted charges. I received a charge I did not recognize from Experian. There is not a valid option for me to cancel this bogus, worthless, unused service that I am charged month in and month out for. The number supplied with the charge was an invalid number, "unprofessional". Numbers I locate on the web (from auto-bots), Ask for my SSAN. To verify me, but I cannot trust a pop-up web site that I do not trust in the first place with my valuable information. Other auto-bots on the phone and give my number to a bogus web site. I cannot not speak to a person or even chat with a person to explain.I cannot locate an appropriate option on a web site or a phone call, to cancel the service that I never intended to initiate. My credit company cannot furnish me with a valid phone number or avenue to cancel the service. I have researched and I never intended to join this service, I did attempt to pull a" free credit report" and was charged $1.08 on (11-23-2022) for that purchase and that was all I intended, and "it" should have been "free" as advertised. That is all I feel I owe. The expense of $23.76 a month is an has never had a value to me. I deem this practice as tricky unscrupulous business practice designed to trap vulnerable elderly and otherwise naive people. As of this date (3-28-2023) I have not been able to cancel or dispute these charges. My credit card company (which they asked for, (for the $1.08 charge) cannot not stop the charge (or dispute the charge) on my initial requestor give a valid phone numberExperian Consumer Services

Thank you for writing and expressing your concern regarding your membership. Our records indicate that you ordered a one-dollar credit report along with a trial membership on November 23, 2022. The membership was not cancelled; consequently, in accordance with the published terms of our offer, the credit card provided was charged our monthly membership fee on December 4, 2022. Per your request, your membership was cancelled to no benefits on April 11, 2023. Our website describes the offer and the order form details the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing at the end of the trial and monthly thereafter unless and until the customer notifies us of their wish to discontinue. The consumer agrees to these terms when submitting their order. We have, as a courtesy, issued a refund totaling $23.76 on April 11, 2023. Please allow 3 - 5 business days for these funds to process to the credit card account. At this time, we would like to express our regret that your experience with Experian CreditWorksSM Plus may not have met your expectation or our standard of excellence. We strive for exceptional customer satisfaction and hope we have addressed your area of concern to your expectation.Review fromMe A

The absolute worst! Abysmal! And what is the bot here responding to these claims that make no sense! I need to unfreeze my account temporarily. I was locked out of the website so I couldn't do it there, because I didn't remember my password, and for whatever reason the recovery security email they sent never made it to my email account. I am positive that this is their fault. I think the whole company is holding on by shoestring! I tried calling the phone number to unfreeze my account and after going through all the prompts for a temporary freeze and even putting in my dates, they sent me to the fraud alert menu with 2 options, mail instructions or verbal instructions on how to add a fraud alert to your account with a police report. WHAT?????? Make it make sense! I don't even know if my account is unfrozen now or not because it DID ask me if i wanted my account unfrozen (this is after I put in the pin code!!!!). What a mess? I hope to get someone to chat with tomorrow on ********* I am exhausted and infuriated! And these bozos have our credit lives in their hands? That is truly frightening! The next hack job is about to happen here. Beware!Experian Consumer Services

Experian has been horrible. I had a bank mess up autopay on a cc and never try to contact me. First missed payment ever over $7. The bank said that it was already send to the bureas so I should file a dispute to get it removed. Equifax and TransUnion both fixed the issue easily for me. Experian has been months and still I am trying to dispute this charge. They dont care at all if they report a mistake on your report that hurts you. Theyre terribleExperian Consumer Services

Those instruction do not work, that option is greyed out for me, that is why I called in the first place. Your support is so bad I don't relish the idea of calling back. Unless I lie about why I am calling your phone tree will not even take my call. The phone tree is probably the worst I have ever experienced. And I have a lot of experience with phone trees.Review fromTracey B.

This reporting agency is the worst. They refuse to give you live agent and hang up on you. They added someone else's name to my report under also known as and now that person's collection is on my report. I have been going in circles trying to get this darn agency to remove that person's name from my report. This is ridiculous. I am getting dinged for someone else's c*** I tried to put in a dispute online but they tell me I have to call to et it removed. I call and the system hangs up on me because as it claims, you can only talk to a live person under certain conditions and won't list mine. What???? Horrible service. I wish banks would stop using this agency because it is a lie!!!Experian Consumer Services

Yes, the name has been removed and the collection taken off because I refused to give up. I kept contacting your office until someone answered. I also contacted the collection agency to explain the situation. They were very helpful. Again, you need to stop with the automated system that refuses to transfer people to live customer **********************. You also have another mistake on my report. I do not have a husband, and yet someone is listed as such. Your reporting methods are costly. Please do better.Review fromDeborah M
