1 starThey say their giving a 7 day free trial, there is no way to cancel the membership when you apply and then they take your money and then say they won't give it back to you because it's in fine print that they won't give it back to you but when you try to talk to them about it they can't do nothing about it. I think it's wrong their doing business like thisReview fromgeorge s

The process will take ***** days to complete. If the consumer has any additional supporting documentation regarding the disputed information, they may forward it directly to me for review. Thank you for writing Experian(R) and expressing your concern regarding your membership. Our records indicate that you ordered a one-dollar credit report along with a trial Experian CreditWorksSM Plus membership on February 28, 2023. The membership was not cancelled; consequently, in accordance with the published terms of our offer, the credit card provided was charged our monthly membership fee of $21.95 on March 11, 2023. Per your request, your paid benefits ceased, effective March 22, 2023. Our website describes the offer and the order form details the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing at the end of the trial and monthly thereafter unless and until the customer notifies us of their wish to discontinue. The consumer agrees to these terms when submitting their order. We have, as a courtesy, issued a refund totaling $21.95 on March 11, 2023. Please allow 3 - 5 business days for these funds to process to the credit card account. At this time, we would like to express our regret that your experience with Experian CreditWorksSM Plus may not have met your expectation or our standard of excellence. We strive for exceptional customer satisfaction and hope we have addressed your area of concern to your expectation.Review fromMichael S

My story is like many others. I was told to open an account with Experian, even though I am in their system already. I put a temporary freeze a year ago at all 3 credit bureaus. I needed to remove them & have lost my pin. Transunion helped at their site in minutes, great. Equifax same, great. Experian is now going on 2 weeks. Sent 2 request for my pin, 1 sent certified mail. You can only get a recording when you call the numbers available. It leads you to going nowhere. The forms shown on you tube do not work online. Now all I am getting is a bunch of marketing offers from Experian that I didnt request. This company is based in ****** ******* in control of American adults credit! They have ******. + employees. What do all those people do and why? Worst run company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If I could give a -10 I would. Why isnt the Consumer ***************** involved in this enormous mess of a company.Experian Consumer Services

Thank you for writing Experian(R) concerning a security freeze. Our records indicate you enrolled in our complimentary Experian CreditWorksSM Basic membership on February 23, 2023. This membership is currently active.A security freeze on your credit report prohibits us from releasing any information in your credit reports without your express authorization. A security freeze is designed to prevent credit, loans, and services from being approved in your name without your consent; however, using a security freeze *** delay, interfere with, or prohibit the timely approval of any subsequent requests or applications regarding a new loan, credit, mortgage, insurance, government services or payments, rental housing, employment, investment, license, cellular phone, utilities, digital signature, Internet credit card transaction, or other services, including an extension of credit at point of sale. There is no fee for placing or removing a security freeze on a credit report. A security freeze on your credit file does not interact with your banking or direct deposit activity at your local bank. Our records do not indicate you have a security freeze on your credit file with Experian. We hope this information is helpful to you when considering this matter.Review fromDuchess R

I called to lift a credit freeze and went through all of the prompts on the automated call system. After confirming my identity and the freeze lift duration, I was transferred to a live agent. The live agent told confirmed my identity again and confirmed the duration of the freeze that I was requesting and then told me to call a specific number with a reference number later as the computer system was having technical difficulties. I called back a few days later and again was asked to confirm my identity to the automated call system. I was asked the reason of my call and the automated call system did not understand that I wanted to talk to the agent again and had a reference number. When I asked to speak to an agent the automated system said no and then hung up on me. I called back again and confirmed my identity to the automated system again. I went through the prompts to lift a credit freeze and after confirming the dates that I wanted the system sent me to a live agent again who confirmed my identity again. This time the agent was able to lift the credit freeze, but I do not appreciate the way that I was treated by the automated call system. Apparently the issue was that the automated call system did not understand the leading zeros on my freeze pin.Experian Consumer Services
