I signed up at Experian at their website and after logging in successfully first time, I have not been able to sign in again. It first tells me that my username is incorrect and when I use the username that they sent to me it claims again that the username is incorrect. I am unable to login and unfreeze my credit report. This is a nightmare situation because their phones are not manned by humans and their interactive voice system is downright horrible and ineffective.I am not sure how to get out of this fix and regret having signed up at this awful website (Experian).Poor job Experian !Experian Consumer Services

Experian in my opinion is unprofessional & does NOT deliver on what they Promise. In my case they LOWERED my FICO score by 22 points when it should have been INCREASED. Their software is outdated & they cant serve their clients fairly & equally & they intentionally make it IMPOSSIBLE TO SPEAK WITH AN AGENT.. They dont even deserve one star .Best,***********************Experian Consumer Services

Thank you for writing Experian(R) concerning your score. Our records indicate you enrolled with Experian CreditWorksSM on January 24, 2017. The product you are currently using to monitor your credit is our complimentary Experian CreditWorksSM Basic membership that began on July 8, 2021.We try to make it a point to inform our customers that various scoring models are available in the marketplace and have different potential uses. For instance, we include a disclosure on our site describing the score provided with the credit monitoring membership you purchased. Here, the score that is provided as part of your membership is the FICO(R) 8 model based on Experian(R) data. It is a score that many lenders use in the credit application decision-making process. FICO(R) Scores, ranging from 300 to 850, are developed by Fair ***** Corporation which specializes in developing credit-scoring systems for lenders and other businesses. This can help you see and understand how lenders may view your credit worthiness. It is used by many lenders and is indicative of your overall credit risk. Differences in your score may be due to a change in balance on one or more of your credit cards, payment updates, or the addition of new accounts. Even the fact that your account(s) is one month older can affect your score. If there are inaccuracies on your credit report, these could also be affecting your score and should be disputed directly with the credit-reporting agency providing that information. In general, there are many factors that can affect an individuals credit score, such as payment history, current debt, available credit to debt ratio, etc. We hope the above information is helpful to you in considering this matter.Review fromMichelle A

I wish I could give them e ZERO rating. Their automated system is the worst I have ever encountered and that is saying a lot. There simply is NO way to get to a human under any circumstances. No matter what you say you are redirected. There system was stuck so even though they sent me an automated message saying I needed to update my credit card there was no way to do so. I would go through every concievable gyration to get to a human but their system would either cut me off or put me on perma-hold with their musis and recording mocking me by saying your call is important to us and we will be right with you. I never did get to a human. I even tried saying I needed to report fraud - and they are in the business supposedly of protecting us from fraud - but even that was automated. I finally called the division of their business that handles large corporate accounts and the man who answered could not have been ***** or more apathetic. He just kept repeating himself that it was my problem and he couldnt help me. Yes I will be changing companies.Experian Consumer Services

Experian was just another credit reporting firm until I received an email from them asking if my car was my car; supposedly it was not a marketing email but if I confirmed it was mr **** theyd offer me free insurance info, recall info etc. Considering that I did not finance the purchase of the subject vehicle, this was a very creepy email. Obviously theyre trolling other sources to gather info. They could at least be upfront about their intentions.Experian Consumer Services

Criminals. They sell you a $1 credit report then start billing you a $29.99 monthly membership you never signed up for.Experian Consumer Services
Date: 10/13/2022
Thank you for writing and expressing your concern regarding your membership with Experian. Our records indicate that you ordered a one-dollar credit report along with a trial CreditCheck Total membership on August 25, 2022. The membership was not cancelled; consequently, in accordance with the published terms of our offer, the credit card provided was charged our monthly membership fee on September 5, 2022. A welcome email notification was sent to the email address you provided at the time of enrollment. Per your request, your paid benefits ceased, effective October 6, 2022 . Our website describes the offer and the order form details the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing at the end of the trial and monthly thereafter unless and until the customer notifies us of their wish to discontinue. The consumer agrees to these terms when submitting their order. We have, as a courtesy, issued a refund totaling $59.95 on October 13, 2022. Please allow 3 - 5 business days for these funds to process to the credit card account. At this time we would like to express our regret that your experience with CreditCheck Total may not have met your expectation or our standard of excellence. We strive for exceptional customer satisfaction and hope we have addressed your area of concern to your expectation.Review fromMichael B

These guys are a complete joke. How they maintain any customer base is beyond me. Di9k suckers and money whores! I have 15 pages in the ALERTS and not a single one of the accounts is mine. Then they tell me I have a "0"score? stupid A.F. This is whats wrong with capitalism, *I would rather have the choice of leaving negative stars but in order to post this you have to give them 1? That doesn't represent my review, negative 5 is more like it.Experian Consumer Services

CONS:- Claims No Credit Score? Despite consistent early payments on bills as well as other accounts conveniently not listed without wanting my Bank Account information?- Items showing up on Credit not applicable to myself.- **** limited list and generic credit history. Not at all thorough. For example, when applying for a home loan, there was every single detail about credit history. Experian literally only showed 1 thing on my credit.- Linked with another of the same name which was not me. - Poor/Lack of Solutions to resolve issues.- Misleading, Over-hyped. Nothing to improve my score or lack of as mentioned above.- Not worth the monthly subscription, can find better, more detailed solutions on my own.- Gave list of Credit Cards I was eligible to apply for, only to tell me my Credit doesnt apply.- TrustPilot? 3rd Party/Spam/Sell Info? Attempted to submit 1 STAR review, and prevented, though you will see on their site only 5 star reviews.PROS:- Great concept, (though underdeveloped).- Removed from specific lists, (though I assume now not a member back on their lists). Conclusion, based on the experience mentioned, it is simply not worth my time, or money. Generic, Misleading, Not thorough, not at all helpful.Experian Consumer Services

Thank you for informing us of your recent experience with Experian. Experian prides itself on providing an excellent customer experience, and vigilantly strives to provide the highest standards of customer care and satisfaction. Regarding your concerns with Experian Boost, an account must be a utility or telecom (mortgages are not included) with at least three bills paid from the connected bank account over the last six months in order to be eligible for Experian Boost. Experian Boost also only picks up online payments and does not include check or cash payments. Additionally, Experian Boost requires that you have online banking with your bank or credit union. We cannot manually add accounts to your Boost program. Once you establish a link with your bank and Boost by signing in with your bank credentials on our site, the accounts are then identified by our program and presented to you for verification. There are instances where Experian Boost is unable to identify certain utilities, and in these instances the feedback received is provided to our development team. As we continue to improve it is possible that your utilities may become eligible. We suggest keeping your bank account connected as the system will continue to scan, and if at some point your utility or telecom payments become eligible you will be notified via email. Please note, we do not ***** or deny credit. Each credit *****or makes such decisions based on its own guidelines.Regarding partner offers presented within our membership products, our Terms and Conditions state, in part: Please note that prequalification for a credit opportunity available through a third party does not guarantee approval, and you will need to submit an application with such third party if you choose to apply for a prequalified offer (and such application may result in a credit inquiry that can impact your credit score(s)).When selecting to apply, our website also advises the consumer that they will be redirected to the credit *****ors website to complete the application process, at which point the credit *****ors terms will apply. The following disclosure also appears in our Terms and Conditions: For complete information on any particular offer, see the terms and conditions on the issuer or lender's website. Once you click apply for any offers, you will be directed to the issuer or lender's website where you may review the terms and conditions of the applicable opportunity or offer before applying. To dispute possible inaccuracies on their credit file consumers must direct their requests to each individual credit bureau.
