Experian should be criminally investigated for negligence.My daughter's identity was flagged by Experian as stolen. Experian's "Restoration" team instructed me to submit a form requesting the freezing of my daughter's credit and await a response (~30 business days) from Experian.Two months went by and attempts to determine the status of our request were directed to an 800 number that is not answered by a human. After 5 minutes my call was routinely dropped by the automated phone service.Finally, we received outreach from Experian's team, who, in response to me voicing that I hadn't heard back explained, "no news is good news, you have nothing to worry about," and that, "Experian Restoration is an "Experian company, but not related to Experian's Credit Bureau," and as a result, had no insight into whether my daughter's credit was frozen, or if the request to freeze her credit was even received.After multiple attempts to escalate and flag the issue, I was finally put in touch with a manager who confirmed that Experian Restoration could in fact access Experian Credit Bureau's database and confirmed that Experian had in fact, A) received my request to freeze credit, B) frozen my daughters credit, C) Mailed a notification confirming the receipt of my request and the frozen credit account... TO THE WRONG ADDRESS.Having zero confidence in anything Experian says, I've requested to speak to the Managing Director of Experian's Restoration team, not only to voice concern (given that Experian has mailed my daughter's private information to a random address), but also to confirm that any of what the Experian Restoration team has suggested took place is even true. I've called the direct line asking for an escalation for 3+ weeks. My calls are answered, I am told I will be contacted, and I am never contacted.A word of caution... STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. It is terrifying that any organization this incompetent has access to anyone's personal information.Experian Consumer Services

I received an email from experian support stating the email address on my account had been changed. I did not change it. I was also unable to access the account. I immediately tried to contact Experian. Apparently immediate is not something they do. The best I could do was send an email to their support. Two days later I received a response from their support stating the account was locked with instructions to snail mail copies of documents to their office. Did this twice with no response twice. Once in April and again August. This company is totally impossible to work with!Experian Consumer Services

What an absolute farce of a company. If you have a dispute with a creditor/student loan, anything - all they do is send the dispute to the company you have a complaint about....and Experian lets them do the investigation. Shows how little they actually care about you the individual. What a world we can live in where a company engaged in wrongdoing, gets to conduct their own investigations, and report back to Experian - that nope, nothing wrong on our end. They are useless to call as clearly they are just call centers with drone employees repeating the same lines over and over again. Got moved around to a few employees and appears they are outsourced call centers. I am sure these call centers never give out/sell your information (sarcasm). So you have a dispute, do not waste your time - it is pointless and meaningless. There is nobody actually investigating your dispute, none - it is just automated waste of time.Experian Consumer Services

They were supposed to help me with credit issue on a card I never authorized, asked for or signed for. Its Indigo Card. They say I owe $86.00 on an account I dont have. Experian said theyd know something soon but havent done anything but send credit card emails. How is this any aid to a consumer. ?COMPLETELY WORTHLESS. WHY ARE THEY EVEN A COMPANY. Currently embroiled in a legal battle with Experian over their multiple violations of the ***** a collections account was illegally placed on my credit report after the lawsuit was filed, called Experian to speak with someone & was told that I needed to speak with legal. Waited 3 days to get a call back from someone in their legal office who sounded extremely rude & I highly doubt that it was a person from the ****************** The call was from ***** ** which came from a very rude woman who sounded like she hates her job & denied all wrongdoing from the company. I asked for the illegal account to be removed & her answer was no. She also said after my over ***** disputes of inaccurate & incorrect information still being reported that Experian didnt violate the ***** If I have done factual based disputes showing their errors then youd think they would delete the accounts, but no. This office needs to be shut down immediately & I advise people who arent getting their negative items deleted to ***. Your disputes are going through a computer system called E-***** which gives them a 3 digit **** thats assigned & sent off to the creditor. The factual disputes with information cannot be assigned to an E-***** **** which is why the **** responses make 0 sense. A lot of times youre not getting your deletions because the credit bureaus arent physically contacting & investigating the creditors. Experian isnt doing reasonable investigations because theyre too understaffed to handle ************** obvious company morale is low due to this.Experian Consumer Services

Im not calling or writing to the ********* office. This is the level of unprofessionalism that I am talking about, if you all knew that you couldnt reply to the matter then why would you purposely respond to the matter?? Its funny because one of the other credit bureaus contacted me about settling but your company wants to keep playing this game as if you all have not violated the ***** The current thousands of cases that are currently out there would say otherwise. We have had the worst experience with Experian over the last 3 years. I will not go into details of the past encounters, but let me assure you no real business would be able to survive this way. If it weren't for the fact that we MUST go through them, no one would waste so much time on them. My wife has been trying to unfreeze her credit so we can get a loan. She kept all of her information written down when we froze the account and now we cannot unfreeze even though we are using all the original info. She has tried to call twice. Our experience is similar to everyone else's. NO ONE ANSWERS THE ****** We have been on hold twice for an hour now and we cannot move forward with a loan until this is fixed. To add or remove a security freeze, a consumer must initially visit www.experian.com/freeze. Existing Experian members will be prompted to sign into their membership. Non-members will be prompted to create a free membership in Experian CreditWorksSM Basic or to create an Experian Service Account. Experian CreditWorksSM Basic is a complimentary product of Experian, which provides consumers access to their Experian report and FICO(R) Score once every 30 days, free of charge, along with monitoring alerts which are updated daily. In contrast, an Experian Service Account does not involve enrollment in a membership. It is an online portal through which consumers may log in to manage a security freeze, as well as submit disputes and review dispute results. This company is worthless! I froze my account because my identity was stolen, the person who stole my identity was able to log into my account, change all my settings and was approved for a $58k loan! I'm unable to log back into my account and have called every single number I could find to speak with someone to fix this. I can't talk to a single person! I'm beyond frustrated, I'm basically locked out of my own personal protection and this joke of a company has zero avenues to help me work around this. Transunion and Equifax are so much easier to work with and actually have customer **********************. I'm not all together certain how this situation came about, but unfortunately, I must report my dissatisfaction with this outfit.While it's true, I have been diligently working on repairing my credit, I have no recollection of signing up with Experian. Furthermore, I am positive I never agreed to any pay services from the same. I already (as everyone does) can access any information relevant to my credit activity using services that do not ask for money and do not ******* my inbox with unsolicited emails.For several months now, I have received multiple emails stating that Experian has attempted to deduct money from my PayPal account. As someone who has dedicated close to a year already to credit repair - I keep a low balance, I don't utilize credit, and I never, ever, purchase goods or services I can't afford. However, needing to make an online payment to my insurance company, I recently deposited funds to my PayPal account - of which Experian swiftly deducted $26.49 - an amount which rendered me unable to make the required payment to my insurance. This is assisting people with finances? I think not.In attempt to remove myself from Experian's "customer list" (aka email harassment list) I made my way to their website, where I was greeted with a "past-due ****." The only way I could navigate the site and file my grievance was - you guessed it - pay that ****.I don't use any of these services provided by Experian whatsoever. I feel their business practices are AT BEST under-handed. Tricking hard-working people into some type of membership they can't afford, and subsequently requiring payment to voice their dissatisfaction is precisely what has led me to post this review.I do not recommend any dealings with this outfit whatsoever. I believe they provide nothing for free and choose to conduct business in a way that's nothing short of manipulative, exploitive, and in direct contrast to what they advertise.Proceed warned.Experian Consumer Services

Your credit card had declined the charges on the regular monthly billing times and ended in billing on odd dates.Your membership has been cancelled to no benefits on August 15, 2022 and a courtesy refund of $26.49 has been processed back to your credit card on file. I am trying to create an account on Experian so I can monitor my credit. Calling their numbers is such a waste of time. The representatives are not trained enough to handle the phone calls as they all have different solutions and none are helpful. Since a week I am trying to create my account. I faxed and mailed them my documents as well. Nothing is helping at all. Same is with my business credit report as we see an account reported as unpaid which they have no clue about nor I do.
