In October of 2022 we had them install Solar at a cost of approximately $60,000. I was told I would be getting updates through the entire process as well as a 30% tax rebate. None of this was true and misleading. I am still waiting for a PTO from PG&E and now being billed by the finance company for a system that is not fictional. This has caused a substantial financial hardship for my family. When I call I get the run around, no clear answers. I am now considering taking legal action. I am spending $60,000 on this and just want simple customer service and not lies. I would like the monthly premiums I am paying to be credited until this project is closed and the solar panel are producing energy to the grid with a PTO from PG&E.Business Response

I have a $80,000 solar / battery /re-roofing contract with them. They were scheduled to come back for a third time last Friday for a final inspection with the city. No one arrived and when I called I was informed that the project manager *********************** was no longer employed there. I talked to numerous people that assured me someone would call me back on Friday which never happened. There is a related business, Enphase, for the battery phase of the project that had been trying to help them get the electrical box wiring properly done. Their employee *********************** ************ is familiar with the company and my situation in particular. When I informed him of my situation. his response was "This is crazy".Business Response

Thank you for reaching out about this. The controller on this project is defective from the manufacturer. We are pending a replacement from the manufacturer and will replace right away when received. The controllers are on backorder and so we cannot simply use one from stock. Once we receive it we will replace right away and finish the installation. We will see what we can do to escalate this directly with the ManufacturerThanks for your patience

although Semper Solaris did come back out, the total installation is not complete. The oven & garage are not wired to be backed. Semper says Enphase has to correct it and Enphase says they don't do that:
Enphase is not responsible for doing any work! Install needs to finish job 100% we do not do wiring or do any connections that's all under Semper.
So no resolution yet...

I contracted with Semper Solaris to install two *********** Walls in my house on July 5, 2022. Since that time the installer has been to my house at least 8 times ( I lost count) to install the batteries, correct a very incomplete and not within design requirements problem with the system. My county in ******* (Hillsborough County) requires that the system and installation be inspected and approved for the system to be turned on. The inspectors came to my house 4 times and each time the system failed inspection because of poor installation, not following design plans or poor and unsafe installation work. I attempted to contact the installers on numerous occasions for updates and status and they do not return my calls. The county inspector came to my house on Thursday January 19, 2023 and the system tentatively passed inspection requiring a change because again it did not meet design requirements. I was told that the system is ready to be turned on on Thursday January 19, 2023 but again I cannot get anyone to tell me when it will be turned on. I'm told that Semper Solaris contracts with a local installer to install the power walls and that company is *********************** (ESD) out of ******************************************************************. it appears that Semper Solaris has no ability to get ESD to prioritize my installation, fix problems or complete this project. Semper Solaris seems powerless over getting ESD to do anything they do not want to do. I attached photos showing the horrible workmanship that I received and a photo of the electrical panel left open for over two months which was a hazard in my garage. This is the worst experience of a system that costs $31,000.00. I have been paying for this system for over three months now and it does not work. Three weeks after the initial installation we had a Category II/III hurricane in the central ** area and my system was no where near completion.Business Response

We signed a contract for Solar installment, a new air conditioner, and a new solar panel system. We have been having issues since we signed the contract June 15, 2022. They have not completed the work, the city inspector has come out numerous times and the electrical panel still is not up to code. We have reached out to the company numerous times also through numerous means with no success. They tell us they are coming 24-hours in advance which is not enough time to take off of work. We have asked for one week notice and still no change. We just want one week notice and the work completed so we can be done working with this company. We purchased a house that had semper solaris sun power system installed in 2017. In the sellers addendum it had a roof leak right after it was installed that was repaired by semper solaris under warranty. ********** has been in a drought for the past 5 years so this was the first big rain in **** years. The solar install never was in a rain year.We moved in August 2022. There was a issue with the sunpower manager device that reports generation that failed. semper solaris came out said they would replace it. Never back from them. When I called regard*** home damage from the massive leak they said it was repaired when it wasn't. Jan 9th 2023 we had a huge rain storm. Water rushed in the roof into 3 bedrooms and kitchen. We had a roofer come out and inspect the roof. He found incorrectly installed solar panels, cracked roof tiles under the solar and all around. The brackets bolts were not even drilled strait into the rafters but sideways. Water was leak*** from the brackets area and the cracked tiles under the panels. Water was runn*** down rafters into the bedrooms. I reached out to semper solaris I did not get a call back on schedul*** until the 12th. I begged them to come to at least tarp the house. The gave a deaf ear to our crys for help as our house was gett*** severely damaged by the rain. Our roofer quoted $18,000 in repairs to the roof alone includ*** tarp-*** the roof until the panels can be removed. semper solaris brought there own roofers out on the Jan 11 2023. Took pictures of the damage, never offered to tarp the roof or remove the panels so my roofer can make the repairs. I reached out to ******, ******, try*** to get the panels removed asap so my roofer can make the repairs. I told them because of this experience i want the paid off system removed. only date they can give me is the 27th. I told them I want the system off my house , which they agreed to.They wont pickup the phone.I want them remove the system buy it back asap to pay for damagesBusiness Response

We had Sempra Solaris complete a solar project for our home. The project was completed July 2022. Since the rains have begun we have experienced roof leaks. After our roofing contractor looked at the roof, which he had redone in 2017, several holes and broken shingles were found. He quoted us a price of $13, 000 to repair all the damage. We have tried on several attempts to contact ******, by telephone and email. They are not returning our calls or responding to our email. We are looking for roof repair to eliminate all the damage they caused.Business Response

They are NOT repairing this quickly. In fact, it will be almost a month sense I called them to come out and repair this. I still can't get a hold of anyone and they have NOT even explained to me when they come out on the 7th of Feb as to what they are actually going to do. They told me when I spoke to them last that the long window to come out is the best they could do, which is an out and out lie. I'm trying to be reasonable, but they are making it very hard to be nice to them or trust them, based on there track record with us. So no, I will not accept there response. Something needs to be done with this company, because if you look at a lot of the reviews, there very similar to my complaint. This is a horrible company! And they do not, and will not do what they claim on all there commercials. Thank you for getting back to me.Business Response

We initially got Semper Solaris w Tesla ***** a couple yrs ago. I was my own referral, as I had a system installed in the central valley about 5 yrs ago. It was connected directly to the grid, n they were great. Installation did take a while, but it did not feel like it was Sempers fault. This new system in foothills of N CA is very very different. Its like Im dealing with a whole different company. The biggest issue I have with Semper is their lack of communication and explanations. Even after tech was here Dec it was a cluster. The worker was on the phone with the ******** ******** had the schematics for our system! Every time I ask for help, or I told somebody some thing, then Id try to follow up, nobody EVER knew what i were talking about. We would call and leave questions, such as why shouldnt the solar panels go on our garage, which appears to have much more sunlight and fewer shadows from trees. We left that message probably three times and never did get a good answer. They said they were going off the satellite photos, even though we reminded them that a lot of trees had been cut since some of those photos were taken. So the panels are positioned on the home, but they get shade from the tall Cedars. Initially they went to connect the main box to the ************* even communicate with us about it. They put it right out front. We did ask haveem move it. Weve had more problems since a storm in December 2022 and I had to hound the office in ******* to get somebody out bc PG&E couldnt even touch the solar equipm. So when they came out a couple weeks ago, the plan was to order the ************ start the tesla warranty paperwork. I checked back w ************ said the plan is actually to send somebody out again to assess bf they would consider ordering it. The new tech now reports wiring is still not on any schematic. Semper was going through growing pains about three years ago, and things have only gotten worse since then. More info avail if needed.Business Response
