I had a problem with my solar system so I *******ed the installer. semper solaris. After 2 times of hearing "we are busy and will have a rep reach out to you within 10 Business days) The 3rd time I had a rep ******* me. after hearing my problem they stopped following up or responding to my emails. the 4th time I had a manager involved in this and they had me drive to the property to do the troubleshooting my self which afterwards they came to the conclusion that I can't solve it and they need to send someone out there. Again, they mentioned it multiple times that we'll have someone reach out in the next few days and it's been another 2 weeks. Horrible service. Workers there don't even care to resolve and issue but just want to sell the system and call it a day. I have been the one constantly reaching out to them and not getting an answer. The only thing I got was that we hope you don't report this to BBB and we will be working on your case. Have given them more than enough time and my energy to solve this. I have waisted combined 5 hours of my time on the phone with them trying to solve this. still no results.Business Response

A new roof, **** system, air ducts and solar panels were installed. Installation began in September 2023. In the beginning of the project we were given an estimated time of 4-6 weeks for completion. It is now January 25,2024. The inspection isn't completed for the **** install. I can not afford to take off random days from my employment to be here for the city inspection when this company does not communicate anything. I expected this company to be professional. It is the worst experience I've ever had with dealing with contractors. Spending over 100K I'd a lot of money. With problem after problem, I want them to finish the job so I can finally not worry about my house. I called today asking for paperwork needed for purchasing solar panels to submit to my tax preparer, and I was told to call back when I know exactly what the tax preparer wants. I don't understand how every time i ask for help with an issue from their company, that i get treated like its my issue. The customer service is awful. Please help.Business Response

Hello thank you we are working with this customer to resolve the situation.
At the time of inspection the city decided that it wanted additional engineered calculations. This is very unusual. We did enlist the help of a structural engineer with no additional charge to the homeowner and are waiting for the city to approve the new calculations.

Solar system was installed on September 2018. On April 6th it stopped producing, something went wrong with it. On January 9th I just found that the system wasn't working because I received a bill from sdg&e for $1700.00 I contacted them several (3 so far) to have this issue resolved, but they only say, it will take 8 ton 10 days to get a response which hasn't happened. System is still under warranty. I just like to get it repair ot replaced.Business Response

Semper Solaris contracted a 3rd party vendor on their behalf under their business license including Electricians license to install solar on property I lease, this started the beginning of April 2023. What was originally told would me 3 days was dragged out to 3 1/2 weeks full of excuses, They tapped into my internet to as they said was needed to cover the solar monitoring of which neither the home owner, nor Sper Solaris have paid me for. Then November 20th 2023 Southern California ****** shut power off "un notified to me" in the area for service. (Stated they told home owner).Semper Solaris's *********** system did not turn right of way, but did a slow drain of power dropping below ****************************************************************************** my home.Funny how many calls i put into them and they constantly screwed up the calls/messages, even emailing the owner (Who has done nothing) and made multiple excuses. The ****************, SCE have failed the interior Main electrical box because Semper Solaris's contractors spliced and tapped into it instead of a full relocation to the outside as well as doubled up on the breakers and the list goes on.Semper Solaris has now said we will look into it , and give us time and that each person when I ask simple common sense questions about Solar and Electrical they go "I am not an Electrician" My property is damaged, they sub out their work under the Claim ********************* and they treat people right. Well I am a Disabled Veteran and I am calling them out as L***S and (^$#&^)(#& ******************************* best square yourselves away in a full Military Manner and settle this.I have video showing Solar Surge of power to house. Excessive Delays in Installation: Contrary to the initial timeline provided by Semper Solaris, the installation process was prolonged to over one and a half years. The lack of communication and updates from the company required me to consistently initiate contact for any progress information.Unauthorized Alterations to ******** Systems: My explicitly stated request to not alter my existing commercial Generac generator was disregarded. The alterations made during the installation have rendered the generator less functional, specifically in its capacity to charge my cars, which was a direct contradiction to the sales representative's assurances.Non-Consensual Changes During Installation: Significant changes were made to my property, including relocating the electrical panel and car charger, without asking or confirming with me. These changes have drastically altered the layout of my garage, which was previously customized with specific arrangements.Disrespect for Customer's Property: The installer unilaterally decided the placement of the third battery and inappropriately removed a $400 ************ monitor from my property without my permission. This incident was compounded by misleading communication regarding the return of the monitor.Post-Installation Service and Communication ************* post-installation service has been marked by a lack of responsibility and transparency. Documents provided post-installation did not reflect the agreed terms. Moreover, the overall communication from the sales team suggests a familiarity with such issues, indicating a pattern of recurring problems. To be clear, the salesperson didnt explicitly tell me this.Contradiction to ************ Values: As a Marine, the level of service and professionalism exhibited by Semper Solaris is not only disappointing but also contradictory to the values typically associated with the ************, an association the company prominently advertises.Business Response

I received a call from someone who said they would follow back up with me. The issue has NOTHING to do with the **************** or the permit. They literally didn't address 1 thing from my complaint. I can't say I'm surprised. Someone called and said she was working on this and I haven't heard a word since. She called because of a negative review I left. I'm amazed at how bad this experience has been.Business Response

We had a senior designer speak with **** last week, and guide him along the design restrictions were that prevented giving him 100% of what he is asking for.He has taken those under consideration and I think we have the opportunity to give him a configuration that satisfies most of his requirements and looks to make him happy. I purchased a home in 2021 that had a leased Solar System on the roof. ****** owned the system and Semper Solaris in ******** was the company who installed it. Not wanting to lease the system, I paid $24,000 dollars to pay it in full and now completely own the system. Fast forward to November of 2023 and we are currently in escrow to sell the home. I called Semper Solaris to obtain the warranty information to pass onto the new buyers. ****** stated they did not have the warranty information and I needed to contact Semper Solaris in in ********.Semper Solaris told me theyd look into it and call me back. I gave it a few days and no response. I called a second time. And a third time. A fourth time accompanied by an email. I now have to extend the conteignencys of my home because of Semper Solaris poor management. I have no idea how this company is in good standing with the BBB. Phone calls, emails, speaking to management, none of it works. I keep getting the same we are looking into it every time I call. ALL I WANT IS A COPY OF THE WARRANTY.Thats it. As the homeowners request is extremely unusual customer service team is still researching what is possible. We don't own the system or the equipment we merely installed it for sun run.
We were contracted by sunrun to install this solar system. Our workmanship is guaranteed for 10 years. Sunrun owns the warranty for the equipment and the system performance. If the homeowner would like he could call our customer service center at ************ option 3 with his home buyer and register his system to the new owner together with our company with regard to workmanship. With regard to any system components or production you would have to engage with sun run.
The warranty documentation for the original installation is owned by SunRun as they processed the contract with the original buyer.

We hired Semper Solaris to install a Tesla battery at our house, from the very beginning they kept messing up our financing (***************************) to the point we had to resubmit documents MULTIPLE times because of their mistakes. Once they claimed to have completed the project they wanted us to sign off on project completion even though they were still missing some stuff. We had refused to sign but then received threatening phone calls that they would put a lien on our property if we did not sign so we ended up signing it to avoid the lien. We received an email from SDGE on October 26 stating that they could not accept our Energy storage application because CONTRACTOR ACTION REQUIRED: The battery inverter listed on the application is incorrect. The inverter is embedded into the battery so it should match the battery. We contacted Semper Solaris multiple times to get this resolved and they have yet to do anything about it besides giving us a case number when we called but that case number does not do anything. We would really just like to get this fixed so that we can all move on.Business Response

Semper Solaris installed Solar Panels on my roof and since installment the Lifetime roof has been leaking called several times to Semper Solaris and they send technicians who are ill equipped and do not bring enough materials to fix the issue. They have been out 4 times and every time their excuses are (either they do not have enough material or the person needs additional help. Every time I have to take days off from work so I could accommodate them. Upon calling the company the owners do not respond and the employees do not answer phones and even if they answer the phone call, they start making excuses. I have spoken to ******, *********, ******* and many others to no fix in site. Due to their negligence, I will now have to replace my entire roof which is a cost of over $25,000.I will be also taking legal actions to recover my cost of replacing my roof and legal fees along with other damages .Business Response

SENIOR ABUSE!Semper Solaris sold my parents 85 and 93 years of age solar for their **** tiny 2 bedroom manufactured home. My parents both have Alzheimers and Dementia. They paid $55,000 for their home. They only live on social security of about $2,250 a month. Semper Solaris found financing through Mosaic whom put a $33,598 lien on my parents home. My parents need to sell their home or lose it. No one in their right mind is going to assume that huge outrageous lien to buy their home so this company is going to make my poor senior parents homeless if the lien is not removed asap.Business Response
