      No physical location. No text based live support. No support to email. No cancel button online. Only way to cancel seems to be to call, talk to a robot, wait on hold, listen to 19 sales pitches, scream for a supervisor, wait on hold again, listen to them offer free hbo, scream again, send the receiver back in the mail, be assured it was canceled, be charged again anyways, be accused of not sending back the box.This should be illegal, the fact they they refuse to let you contact them by anything text based, to ensure you hear their 19 sales pitches about how great the service you already know *****, is. Only way to contact by text is the antiquated TDR system, and that's only because it's a legal requirement.Don't sign up for directv unless you want to keep it forever or are a m********

      I cancelled my service with Direct TV on 2/27/23 and was informed by representative that I would have the service until 3/15/23 when my billing ended. I asked why they do not prorate and response was this is how handled, and that I would receive a final bill. When pulling up my account, I can not view package and noticed the bill miraculously increased by $9.00 they changed my package amount. Called on 3/1/23 to ask why and to find out again why they do not prorate and he stated the package increased this month, how convenient. Also was informed a letter would be mailed (postal) on 3/15/23 to return equipment to a Fed Ex or *** store and there would be no charge on shipping, today I was informed *** and provided the one location in my area. I asked for it to be emailed as well so I can return ASAP we will see what happens. I understand about returning equipment, but why do they not come and remove the satellite dish on my house and all the lines running through, can I charge rent? We should have a contract about that as well. If I could have given a zero I would have. They can send email begging to come back and offer a $300.00 gift card and call my cell phone with various 800 numbers and not leave a message. I consider that harassment as well.

      I canceled service returned boxes for inside house and remotes. 3 years later get collections call about dish outside on second floor for $176 I cannot remove that dish they put me in collections

      Absolutely ATROCIOUS customer service and dependability. We signed up for services in October and our bill has fluctuated every month since then with no explanation. Service was very spotty and never worked during any kind of storm snow or rain. Finally signed up for a new provider and called the cancel our services. Were told we would have to pay a $380 cancellation fee AND that we would be taxed on a cancellation fee. This company is an absolute joke. Should have listened to the many people who told me to avoid wasting my money.

      I signed a 3 year contract with direct tv at $95.39 monthly now they trying to charge me $103 for changes what's the reason for the contract?? And further more the payment afterwards is $105 Can't believe there so incompetent and fraudulent!I also was promised a 300$ rewards cars from **** which I spoke to an employee and she said there's nothing in my name and she has been getting alot of complaints from this. I told the manager I was gone cancel my subscription and had the nerve to say there's a cancelation fee !!When they broke.a binding CONTRACT!!!

      I cancelled my satellite services on 1/12 I have been billed three times since cancelling - I am also being billed for steaming services - for a total of $700.00

      I've been with Directv/ **** for over 5 years, paid my bills on time no issues. All of a sudden they are having issues and separating..ok whatever. For the month of November I only receive a bill from ***** I call and speak with a representative who is saying they are separating and he didn't know when but that I would receive a bill soon. I paid the **** and went on with my life. Next thing I know I receive a bill for $256. I think okay I was expecting it to be that much but I'll set up the payment arrangement. Then today I receive a bill for $416. I'm like woah!! I call directv and of course get tossed from person to person. I ask for them to at least remove the late payment fee since the error of them not sending the bill as they should have yet I get no concern from not one representative. I then ask to speak with a manager and the representative puts me on hold and hangs up. This company doesn't care about their customers which is sad especially when you are a loyal customer who pays on time. Its the lack of empathy that really upsets me. Especially when it was Directvs mistake error in not sending the bill. But since they don't value me as a customer I will be canceling and moving on to someone who will value me as a customer.

      DirectTV wants to charge me over $400 to cancel their service. I never signed a contract and I never ordered DirectTV. I've been getting billed for a few months and I finally called my credit card company and filed a dispute. Then I called DirectTV. They can't do anything, they said. Baloney! I've called DirectTV many times and they keep saying the same thing. There is nothing they can do. I tried asking for a manager. They simply sent me a strange email of what I "signed" up for, I guess? Strange email. I replied and got no response. I don't even have a tv at this location. It's my business. If someone played a trick on me, it worked. I have to pay $20 per month for 2 years or the cancellation fee. Terrible company. Don't get them!

      Direct TV misrepresents the products they sell and their TV packages are surely NOT worth the price you will pay for them. Their products are substandard, inferior and mediocre at best. Their billing practices are sleazy and atrocious and probably border on being illegal. They will ***** you for late fees after sending you late statements, all the while claiming they aren't doing exactly what they're doing. Their "customer service" is horrific and abominable. The "customer service" staff have incredible difficulty speaking and understanding the English language and will only continually spew the company line at you, no matter what your concern is. These people are totally inept, hapless, and incompetent. Save yourself some aggravation and spend your TV dollars elsewhere. These people are deplorable.

      The worst customer service ever. We are being charged a regional sports fee for something we never use, then the channel we do use *** is unavailable due to a pricing dispute between *** and DIRECTV. So we used the fox app to stream the Super bowl, in which the channel on DirecTV says for you to do, it says to go to the app, well now *** wont let us stream because we are DIRECTV. I called Directv to see what they can do about my insane bill of ****** per month for just cable after spending 2 hours on the phone with them they lower my bill ***** just to find out that they had an increase a few days later which I was never told about. So really no saving. Last night we call to find out about the *** issue and we wanted to speak to a supervisor and we were told that she would have the supervisor call us but it would be 4 hours later. Guess what? no one called us back, I'm currently looking into a new provider. I have been an **** customer for over 20 years and I never have a problem with **** but the DIRECTV portion of **** is the worst and DIRECTV makes **** look very bad. We pay to rent the boxes but then we also have to pay to have them repaired or pay a fee every month to have service protection. So ridiculous and seriously the WORST company I have ever dealt with. Im done with both **** and Directv. If i could have scored them a -5 I would have. If they don't care about their customers why should I care about them.
