      I have no issue with Life Alert services, However, the issue comes when you need to cancel. They tell you that you are only under contract for 3 years. That is a lie. I was with them for many more years than that and even after my mother died they continued to charge me. They would not even pick up equipment until I could provided a death certificate which took 2 months, that way they can continue to charge. They were the only ones I had to provide a death certificate. Being my mother was 81 there were many things to be canceled and collected. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Bad Business Practices.**********

      We are very sorry for the loss of your mother.  Life Alert understands the emotional challenges that *** come at a difficult time as this.  As Life Alert is a HIPPA complaint company we require the proper documentation to ensure the complete closure of the account. Unfortunately, you were not able to send that in to us until recently.  Moreover, we advised that the account could not be closed until the equipment was returned, which again, was only sent in recently.  The account is now closed and a refund has been issued.We invite you to call our billing ***** ********************, if you have any further questions.  Again, you have our sympathy and hope you can find peace during this difficult time.

      You are stuck with this business once you sign a contract. They never suited my needs but Im stuck with them. Its costing me hundreds of dollars for a service that doesnt work for me. They are very unfriendly and unhelpful to work with.

      Paul Kumar aka Mitchell was the name of the Life Alert associate who contacted me. He was rude, pushy, insulting and the WORST listener on the planet. After finding out my insurance would provide a similar service, at no change to me, I called Mr. Kumar back to cancel my order. I had my insurance navigator call Mr. Kumar to cancel the order. Unfortunately, she was subjected to the same treatment.
      I wouldn't buy Life Alert now if it was free. His unprofessional handling of myself and my navigator is unacceptable! He has been blowing up my phone. Harassment Had to block him. Very, very sad.

      Inquired about the Life Alert for my mother and spoke to someone on the phone that gave us the information. Received a follow up call from a man in the ************* office ??? (She lives in *******) demanding that I give my mothers phone number and harassing me about not making a decision. He was sarcastic, rude, and threatening and it makes me sick to think of elderly people he may have harassed. This idiot should be removed from this and any other office where people are involved. I already had a conversation prior to this where I received all of the information that I needed. I asked to never call back. He continued the harassing until I blocked the call. Unbelievable.

      His phone number by the way 1.818,380,2214, It came up as a ************** Number which in itself seems like a crime.

      Your loved one must die in their home in order to get the lifetime guarantee. Do not trust ********************* he is a liar and a cheat. It was not explained to me and yet he insist that he did. Then he proceeded to hang up of me. This is what you are dealing with. They will pressure you to join, then take your money. At this point I don't care but please do not do business with them for your sake and for your loved one's sake

      They will not refund or take the unite back. I have changed my mind for I have found them to NOT been truthful in what they say about other providers. There sails persons make good lawyers for they will talk your head off. You cannot trust a lawyer for they make it as they go. I just want the *** shipping number to return the box, and my $197.00 returned. So you will not lit me post this Ah. I have contacted the BBB and will continue this endeavor.

      My parents have been customers for a couple of years. My mother passed **** ** Aug 2022 and I called to remove her from the account. They required a DEATH CERTIFICATE and the necklace. I mail both items on 9/14/22 together. The necklace was inside the DEATH CERTIFICATE by mail and they received the DEATH CERTIFICATE but claiming they did not get the necklace. So how could they have received one and not the other.

      So now in order to remove her from the account I will have to pay 50 dollars for the necklace. My father is still on the account. We like the company and their service is good.

      If they have my mother's DEATH CERTIFICATE that's all that should be needed to remove her from the account. Our family is already dealing with a lot of stuff since she passed ***** This is the last thing we need.

      So now it word against word that I mailed it and that they did not get it. For a company this large you would think they would be sympathetic to those families who lost a family member.

      The company did reach out to me and correct the complaint. I only hope in the future that the company would be more sympathetic to families that lost a love one. I understand the request to have the Death Certificate but to also request the button back as well is something I don't understand. Do they refurbish the buttons?

      Life Alert is absolutely dreadful. If ZERO stars were an option on review I would have selected that. I got Life Alert for my father. Shortly thereafter he needed 24/7 in home care. I tried cancelling Life Alert and provided them with documentation that my father has fulltime in home care. Also sent back equipment. To this day being months later they are still calling and harrassing my father, his in home help, our business office, my husband and also myself. They are nothing but a sham. When they sell you the service they are just so nice and make it sound very easy to cancel. What a scam that is! They are harrassing and annoying. STAY AWAY from this horrible company. They should be shut down for preying on elderly and then making life miserable when you are done with their service. If the harrassment doesnt stop we will have to get our attorney involved. Thats how bad it is.

Unfortunately, based on our recorded calls, you were not helpful in returning it. The messages we sent were reminders to let you know the equipment needed to be returned to complete the cancellation process. Since you refuse to return our equipment, Life Alert has no choice but to take a loss on this account. We welcome you to contact your attorney, as we are sure your attorney will advise you to return the equipment that does not belong to you.

      Tried to cancel 3 year contract with Life Alert. Willing to buy out contract. According to company policy have to keep equipment running for life of contract, even with an address change. They won't even pull there equipment out of the house. Do not sign up with Life Alert.

      My mother pushed the button on the life alert she wears around her neck. This was done to check the system as instructed to do each month. After 4 times pressing it and no response, she called Life Alert. The lady that answered was so rude to my mom, it shook her to her core. She actually accused my mom of being rude, she said "your being rude and I'm going to put you on hold." She did put my mom on hold and literally left her holding. I know my mother better than anyone and she is never rude to anyone. She actually managed a busy Dr's ****** for near 40 years. So, my mom called back, got a hold of a nice person, told her what was just done to her by the other representative and got instructions how to return it. After 5years, $70 per month, this is how you treat people who may NEED you for an emergency!? Needless to say, it's being returned tomorrow because we won't do business with people who lack compassion, patience, and are down right rude. Now I've lost my peace of mind and security since it's being returned. Very disappointed in the company's representative and how she treated my mother. We don't call her ********* just for the heck of it. She truly is a good soul and you just lost her as a customer. Thanks for nothing!
