  The problem is that it took 4 weeks from the time I signed the contract to the time they finished the job, replace the spanish tile roof. It took 3 weeks for the materials to arrive and the plastic that was put on to keep the rain from coming into the house kept blowing off. The work was complete in about a week and it looks good.

  Thank you! AB Renovations for completing the task of my roof being installed, there were some bumps on the initial start however the communication was the key from the **************** keeping me updated, and the timely response from the project manager **** thank you! also for repairing the electrical issue that could have been a major catastrophe, the clean up after the work was completed, it was also explain to me the process after the completion, material used and why and what to expect in the future. I am please with the out come!

  If you want a job done quickly and feel happy and satisfied with the process and feel like the large sum of money you are paying for said project is worth it then do NOT chose AB Renovations to handle your job. From the TWO HOURS their salesman spent trying to CONVINCE me to spend close to **k to redo my roof, to the **** of having my roof open and exposed and no communication about what was happening or if the workers were coming back to perhaps cover my EXPOSED attic before weather or animals made a bigger issue, to having to CONSTANTLY bother them for updates or to let them know when I found an issue, to not being told that my roof shingles were not the ones I expected and they had to go with my second choice (which would have saved me the shock of coming home to a roof I did not expect to see), to being HOUNDED to PAY for a job that was not yet completed because after a MONTH of waiting for a job that I was quoted usually takes about 7 days to be completed and no communication from their office now it was an issue that I had a trip planned and they couldn't wait for me to return in order to give payment. They seriously called me BACK and asked me if I could leave a check with someone else they could pick up when I told them I had to get to the AIRPORT in the next ** minutes. That's the worst part...what company is so desperate to get your money that they expect you to leave a check for THOUSANDS of dollars for them without them having COMPLETED and INSPECTED the work that they LITERALLTY had NOT STARTED?! The icing on the cake? I go to return from said trip and it STILL was not completed!
  
  Their only saving ***** is their project manager who was very communicative after finding out that I had had NO COMMUNICATION from the office and who would try and fix any issue I brought up to him even if he had to do it himself.
  
  DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE 5 STAR REVIEWS THEY SHOW YOU, THIS COMPANY IS NOT A 5 STAR COMPANY, IT IS POORLY RUN AND NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!

  Dear Stephanie Reading: Thank you for your patience while we investigated your concerns. We've completed our research and are ready to share our findings. We're responding to your recent complaint dated December 31, 2022. We have determined we previously addressed your concerns and did not find you enclosed any new information that would change our response.
  
  We kept our communication in every instance, and we had an update for Ms. Reading constantly.
  
  Ms. Reading, every time the company had any update was informed. We informed her that there is no way to rush the city since they have their own process, and AB Renovations have nothing to do with the delay process. and there is no way we can rush the City for approval also city had gotten address information incorrectly that cause some additional delay sometimes that can happen on their end and out of our control, however we did communicate to Ms. Reading, updating her and keeping her posted on process to continue and conclude the project. We are apologizing sincerely for holdbacks due to the city permits process but again something we can't control on our end. We want all our clients to be satisfied with our work and we strive to deliver on estimated time projects.
  
  And in regard to payments, part of the construction business is to collect payments as process goes and this was discussed with the salesperson time frame that payments need to be met. Sorry, that was an inconvenient, part of the process of collecting payments as part of the contract goes along.
  
  We can provide a chronology of communication and dates of process with Ms. Reading. We want to do our very best to deliver on time frame but in this business at times with permits or weather seasons this can cause or put some delays throughout the process of contract.
  
  We are a license business, and we have to follow city laws and permits to conclude business, every city works differently.

  Thank you for your very public response. If you read my review carefully you will find that my biggest issues with AB Renovations was not the time it took for the city to permit the job as I do understand you cannot rush that process, but everything surrounding that which AB Renovations had full control over. The fact that AB Renovations is only focusing on the part of the problem that they can blame on someone else, namely the city (which I was completely understanding about the permit taking so long on the city's end) is unsurprising to me. However, the idea that I was not forthcoming in my timely payments is absolutely BS. I paid each and every payment on time as stated in the contract with no pushback until they demanded final payment which the contract CLEARLY states will be collected UPON COMPLETION of the project, a full TWO WEEKS before the work was actually completed was not a breach of the contract or misunderstanding of payment terms on my end but completely out of line on theirs and BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. The fact that AB Renovations tore off my roof and compromised plywood leaving my attic completely exposed to the elements and open to animals for 2 full days and only began to rectify the problem after I brought up my concerns repeatedly, left my roof without any weatherproofing for a full week after that when rain was in the forecast and I had to again inquire about them coming back to protect it before the storm hit, their roofers consistently leaving behind a mess for me to clean up including food trash out in my backyard when they were not to return for weeks, and me having to contact THEM every time I had a question about the process or to find out when to expect workers back at my house which I believe any normal homeowner would like to know so they could be prepared instead of simply surprised. For AB Renovations to claim that they handled this project with the upmost professionalism on their end is completely untrue. I also can provide proof of a timeline and my communications to them, and unlike them, I am not trying to pay them to change their review.
