I submitted an application to take the Virginia Cosmetology exam on October 16, 2022. Per the Candidate Bulletin I should have received a response in 5 days. It has now been a month. I have made several calls and sent several emails only to be given the run around. I am sitting on hold for long periods of time only to be transferred to either someone else who can't help me or a vm of someone who says they're too busy to answer the phone and not to leave a vm because they won't be checking it. I sent an email per the vm only to still not receive a response. I waited a week and sent another one only to be told they can't help me. This is so unprofessional and I will also be reaching out to the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation as they are the ones who contracted with this company which seems like a bad idea! 2 years ago I took the theory exam with no issues. This is the most unprofessional business my family has ever had to deal with. My husband had been spontaneously and unknowingly rescheduled 4 times to take his journeyman test. He has taken off of work 4 separate days to be told that the date or place of his test has been change, without any prior notice . During one instance, we were told we would be responsible for another testing fee, when the fault was not ours. When the call was reviewed and they realized their mistake, we did not receive any form of apology. This has significantly impacted our family's financial situation at the fault of PSI and their lack of organization, professionalism, and blatant disregard for the impact this makes on individuals. The worst part is, there is no other company that we can take out business to. We are forced to deal with them again and again. Something needs to change within this company.Business Response

I passed the Massachusetts Real Estate Salesperson test, but, on October 27, 2022.
Since, i have been contacting PSI to send me the certificate in vain.
I have had aboyt chats and daily phone calls, although, the customer support teams promises to escalate but 3 weeks later we have had no resolution.

Thank you for your work. I am an aspiring real estate agent looking to obtain my real estate license in the State of Tennessee. PSI Services LLC has blocked me from taking my real estate exam because another test taker is using my SSN. Since October 15,2022 i have called, and emailed PSI in an attempt to prove that I am the rightful holder of my social security number. They have acknowledged that someone is using my SSN but have not remedied the error in their system. It has been one month since, I still can't take my exam, they have not answered my emails, and when I call the representative keeps saying my complaint has been elevated to higher ups and I should hear back soon. I can't work without this license. This business has admitted wrong but does not solve the issue. I am loosing money, and am at a stand still because of their poor business practices. All I am asking for is permission to take my real estate exam.Business Response

My wife was eligible for an exam in English so I called PSI to have it changed to another language. After 7 calls over the span of 3-4 weeks, the issue hasn't been resolved. Each time, the PSI representative said they will submit a ticket to the Cosmotology team and to wait 3-5 business days for a response. Well, it's been nearly a month and we still receive zero updates and no reason as to why it is taking so long. Each time I call, I have to explain myself from the beginning even though each representative I've spoken to has "submitted a ticket" for me.Business Response

After submitting a complaint on BBB and making several calls to PSI, I was met by a nice representative named April. I asked her to look at my wife's application that was submitted in October, where she noticed an email address owned by PSI Massachusetts. A couple hours later, I received an email from April notifying me that my wife was eligible to book an exam in Vietnamese.Initial Complaint

I've had a few negative experiences with PSI (ranging from inadequate/dirty facilities to unprofessionalism), but this one took the cake. Unfortunately I was having some issues getting to my exam (that I had already paid $69 for) on time. I attempted to call and speak with someone, no answer. I showed up quite literally 1 minute late to this test, and the front desk person told me I would have to reschedule but not pay the fee again because I showed up, and due to the obstacles I experienced in getting into the building and parking area. She told me she was filing an incident report with this information, which I could not see or review (fishy). The website offers the option to reschedule, though proceeds to try to charge the $69 again. So where did my initial $69 go? I called customer service and she was not having it. She took some ridiculous amount of time to even find my scheduling history, I had to spell out my name 8 times (my name is extremely common and not difficult to comprehend for anyone with at least a 1st grade education), and when I explained the test center filed a report saying I should not have to pay again, she didn't care, again would not help, escalating to the point that she was outright disrespectful. I am not paying for a service I didn't receive, so I told her if we can't come to an agreement here, I'm disputing the charge with my bank. She said she didn't care and to go ahead. Wow, she wouldn't even take 5 seconds to call the test center, research the problem, or even attempt to provide "customer service". Her accent was so thick that I couldn't understand half of what she was saying, most of the call was us asking each other to repeat what we were saying. PSI is is an organization of useless scam artists that will spring at the opportunity to steal your exam fees and prey on people who are trying to fulfill employment requirements.Business Response

I'm beyond annoyed with this company I was scheduled to take my exam 6est their system wasn't working properly it took over an hour to even get me in at this point I'm not even test ready. My nerves are all over the place at this point I'm not even feeling confident needless to say the system still started acting up to the point I've ended up being on their site for 4hours I want my money back obviously they can't give me my time or sanity back I never want to use this company ever again. I'm writing on behalf of the PSI Hiset exam , because I was told I had passed my test and to wait on my certificate, so I was waiting, then comes to find out I didn't pass and I told them why would you have said that and they did say sorry, but I couldn't get a supervisor on the phone and there wasn't anyone higher up to talk too. So the Hiset test is a high school equivalent test and I needed a 45 score and I got a 44 but my test says passed , I feel like I'm being scammed and are these exams accurate on the scores , I did attempt to take another test for higher score and still the same score, I'm thinking is this a joke at this point. Scheduled an exam with PSI, after much studying and preparing test time finally comes. I launched my online exam and submitted my forms of identification. My drivers license had just recently been renewed, so it was a paper copy from the Indiana BMV. I checked the guidelines, nowhere did it state that this would be any problem. During theses tests you are told to not move, drink or take bathroom breaks, so I did not while they were verifying my identification, because I was on camera and did not want them to think I was doing anything fishy as the rules say. The proctor asked me some questions about my ID then stopped responding, for over an hour. I sat there for an hour just watching the clock tick. Eventually I called tech support who after putting me on hold for a good while got the proctor to start responding to me again. The proctor then made up a guideline that was not listed anywhere, told me to contact an organization that doesn't exist, refused to tell me how to get a refund for the test and then stopped responding. I tried to get him to respond. All in all about two hours of my night just was spent staring at a clock hoping they would get it figured out just so I could start my test.
Now I still have not received a refund and the website will not let me reschedule the exam, this company is crooked and very well may take your money, make up a rule that you broke then ignore you. It is a scam and any organization looking to have their tests proctored should run to ANY other company than this one.Business Response

I took a test on October 15th. The testing center had technical issues. The problem was that the formula sheet is online so I was unable to access the sheet and continue with the test. The center tried different workstations but no resolution. A ticket was done. Now I can't reschedule the test and when I call the number for my test. The number PSI website gives me. I'm on hold always for 15+ minutes. They tell me to wait 3-5 days to resolve. But nothing. It's been about a month. Every time I call the same thing. Sometimes they hang up on me. It's not the first time I've dealt with customer service, the first time I ended calling the state to fix the issue. They have awful service. And I have the ticket number from the testing center. But today when I call they hung up or somehow loose connections. And I don't have 30min to waste waiting on them. Also when you go the website for the test there is not a lot of options, just a phone number and it's truly a waste of time. I can't reschedule the test and I'm not paying the state another $100 for it again. I'm loosing patience.Business Response
