My husband and myself have 2 separate accounts and we were asked to verify our accounts and now we haven't been able to take surveys or cash out our balances. We both have contacted them numerous times separately through our own accounts for over a week now with no response. I have 44.76 in my account I can't get and my husband has 34.37 in his. They took our drivers license pictures and all of our information and locked us out with no response. We were relying on that extra money this week.Business Response

In order to improve the security of Survey Junkie and its members, we are introducing a new process of verification which is Photo ID verification, which will be a one time verification tool for our panelists. As a quality and verification measurement tool -this might be required at any point of the membership, in order to additionally:
a) verify the account ( regardless of previous verification statuses)
b) to exclude the chance of the account being compromised
c) monitor the quality of provided information (honest and accurate information about themselves and all survey questions to the best of their ability)
This method is used extensively in the market research industry for security and quality purposes. Again, we would like to emphasize that this is a one time verification check that members will not have to repeat over the lifetime of their account. That being said, the member has since verified their account and they have been able to continue taking surveys and have since redeemed their points.Initial Complaint

I cannot cash out anything I have earned within the last few weeks. I just want to be able to cash out my hard earned money. I have sent them several emails with no reply and have called their number with no reply. I submitted their w-9 form and have repeatedly entered the queue to get verified and no one has contacted me for weeks now. How can I get my money???Business Response

We require a W9 form from our members when they approach $600 in a calendar year. We are required by the IRS to report members that reach this amount of earning on our site, it is not an arbitrary rule determined by us. That being said, the member has since sent us the required W9 form via mail. Once we receive the form, the member will be able to redeem their points.

I'm trying to redeem $7.84 from Survey Junkie. I've already redeemed $26.59 so I know they pay out. They've deposited the money directly into my checking acct. Now they demand a photo ID from a smartphone before payout. I do not have a smartphone, just a dumb landline. BEWARE: SJ might be a scam. I'm going to have to change my acct #s now.
This might not seem like a lot of money but I'm a low-income senior and I've put a lot of time into doing this survey. I demand they pay me. Also, there are ethical principles involved & and like to protect other consumers.Business Response

I joined Survey Junkie because I love to do surveys. I have earned $34.89. I have made 5 attempts to cash it out. I have contacted their customer service 5
different time via their site with no response back. They say they will contact you with 48-72 hrs. It has been over a week now. I just tried to cash out again.
I got the same errors. The error reads something went wrong try again. After the third attempt it locked me out. This has happened twice. I just want to cash out my money. I even contacted them through their site and told them to add my other email for PayPal. No response back on that either.Business Response

We recommend them to refrain from creating duplicate accounts as this is against our Terms and will result in permanent account suspension. Survey junkie is not replying to any attempt I have made to contact them for four days about me not being able to collect my earnings. They claim they will contact you by phone by the end of the business day or if using email within 48 hours. I have sent multiple emails that have not been answered . I have been on their call list for 4 days without a response. Even though it's not much I would like to be able to receive my payment like they claim you can after earning 500 points. I have been a member of Survey Junkie for years. Lately they have contests to get points which can be turned in for money. The contests require you to get three surveys a day for x amount of days. They were not giving me three surveys per day so I filed a complaint with then which asked why do you have contests but don't give me the surveys. After I said I would contact the BBB they locked my account and won't give ne any surveys nor let me cash out. I am a 70 year old Senior Citizen who does these surveys for a little extra cash.Business Response

I fill out the surveys to the best of my ability however many of the surveys say I am being dishonest before I even answer a question other than my age. Survey Junkies response is always that it's a problem with the survey itself. Also I made them aware that I keep getting profile questions daily, one for .25 and one for . 50 that I complete that I don't get paid for. They again say it's a survey problem and would only give me . 20 cents fir 27.00 worth of surveys. There is a problem with their system and to blame me for their issues is unacceptable!

Survey Junkie is a safe and secure website, trusted by millions of members who take surveys and redeem on a daily basis. That being said, please note that though it can be disappointing, getting terminated from surveys is a common occurrence and a part of survey taking. It is possible that during the survey, as the survey providers were gathering information, they determined the member was not the kind of participant they were looking for, so they terminated the survey. This can happen at any point in a survey, regardless of how much is completed. Please note that Survey Junkie has no say in members getting disqualified or terminated from a survey and it is up to the sole discretion of the survey providers. However, to reward members for their time and effort we award 2 or 3 points for every termination. That being said, third party survey providers do not receive the information a member provides on a survey, if the survey is terminated, meaning a member's answers are only saved if they successfully complete the whole survey and receive full points.Initial Complaint

I have tried numerous times to redeem the points I earned using the Survey Junkie site through every option they offer for redemption. I always get an error code and am prompted to contact their customer support. I have contacted customer support for help and was told my account was in good standing and I should be able to take surveys. Customer support has not replied to my last two requests for help in redeeming my points. This is the first time I have tried to redeem and am below their 5000 point cut off for customer support to help with redemption. I have had no problems with other survey sites in redeeming points. This issue is surprising since Survey Junkie was recommended by ************ and NerdWallet.Business Response

I have done several surveys for survey junkie and accumulated 3002 points so they owe me $30.02. I have tried to redeem and it just keeps telling me I need to contact customer service for a review. Well I have called the number twice and left voice messages and sent 2 messages on line for tickets and when I tried this evening, the send button wouldn't even work! All
I want to do is get paid so I can delete my profile. There isn't even any surveys listed for me to do anymore and I've checked every day for a week.
It's almost like they closed up shop!
I just want to be paid what I'm owed.
