Sent a video camera for repair in November, received estimate for repair in December and paid by credit card after problem was diagnosed. Amount paid was $461.00. Estimated return was about a week. ** was very responsive and attentive until paid. Have not heard one word despite numerous phone calls and a few emails, nothing since payment was made. It's been many months. Internet reviews reveal this is a pattern with many folks never getting their equipment or money back from this company. My invoice order # for what it's worth is *****. I paid almost $900.00 to have my camera repaired. The day after it was returned to me it malfunctioned. I sent it back to them 5 months ago according to their instructions and have not heard back from them except for an email saying that it was received. I've made several phone calls always getting a message to "high volume .... we'll get back to you". They never have. I also sent several emails requesting an update. I contacted PROCAMFIX via phone on 10/09/2024 regarding repairs to my Canon EOS 80D camera, and they suggested that I mail the camera to them for an estimate. I sent it via Priority Mail that same day, and on 10/19/2024 I received an invoice from them via email which quoted a charge of $411 for repairs and return shipping. I paid the invoice almost immediately, via ******/**********. Since then I have contacted them or attempted contact seven times. Each contact has resulted in the same claim that my repairs will be completed on "Friday" and the camera will be shipped to me on "Monday or Tuesday." Several Mondays and Tuesdays have gone by with no camera and no indication of shipping.Initial Complaint

I initially called them after my lens experienced the same problem I had paid they to repair in July of this year, 2024. I was told over the phone that they guaranteed their work and to send the lens to them. I had had this lens repaired by them at least twice before for the same problem. In both instances, the company's original estimate was $162. Then, after I sent them my lens the second time, the lens repair estimate doubled. In 2022, I paid them $162 and in July 2024, I paid them $283.26. Both times the problem was the same as this third time. As for the specifics of the repairs, I experienced the same problem in 2022 and in July 2024, Communication error 01, The lens focused at 35mm and beyond but the communication error 01 would result at focal lengths less than 35mm. A lens filter was not cracked or otherwise broken when I shipped the lens They do not communicate any detailed information over the phone. They only communicate by email. So in an email, I told them that If they could not repair the lens under their guaranty or warranty that they should return the lens to me, along with the lens two end caps. Since they had my lens, they went ahead and repaired the lens without my authorization. Now, they won't return the lens unless I pay them $298.00 more. That would be a total payment to them of at least $743.26, over the last two years. The lens is, at best, worth only $300-$500. Had they returned the lens to me, I would have purchased a new lens rather than invest more money in what I now believe to be a defective, lemon, lens.I have attached the relevant emails.Initial Complaint

I sent a camera to be evaluated for repair in April of 2023. They gave me an estimate for repair and I paid via paypal $168.00 on May 4, 2023 with an estimate turn around time of 5-7 business days. I reached back several times via email and attempted phone and finally got someone in August of 2023. They mentioned they would be sending out within a week. I have not been able to get back in touch with anyone and have lost my $168 and camera to this business.Initial Complaint

Dear Better Business Bureau of ********,I have been waiting literally a year for my NIKON FA camera to be returned to me from a Vendor in your area. Camera And Camcorder Repair of *************************************** in ********, has had my camera since March of 2023. They gave me an estimate ($ ******) which I paid in full on March 6th. They did not repair nor returned the camera for many weeks. They were also impossible to reach. Accordingly, I started a fraud against them with ***************** the bank that I used to pay for the repair. (see receipt)After several weeks, TD **** was able to retrieve the funds from this company and return them to my account. In May of 2023, I called the company and spoke to "******". I demanded that the company return my camera immediately. ****** assured me that they would. It was never returned to me. I have been trying since last Spring of 2023 to reach these people and they never return my calls or emails.This company needs to be reported so that at the very least, other people do not have to this type of experience.I really want to have my camera returned to me. If this company will not do that, then I will seek financial compensation for their failure to do so. I submitted a request to repair my **** ***** mm F4 lens to Pro Cam Fix back in June. At first, I got a quote for $250, which is cheaper than replacing the entire lens. So I sent my lens to them and paid the amount to get it fixed. I paid in full on June 19th, 2023. Since then, I have contacted them multiple times, and each time, they have told me another part needs to be fixed. So, admittedly, I went along. The last time I called them, they said they ordered an entirely new unit and would fix the lens for me at no extra charge. This was two weeks ago (today's date, 10-28-2023), and they have had my lens since June of this year. I want my lens back REGARDLESS if it is fixed or not, AND a full refund.I have attached the receipt as proof of my purchase of their service.
