      Bottom line up front: Do not trust this company to provide fair or equitable treatment to customers. Location: ********, **.Initially a great experience, the right size space, the ease of access, and a reasonable rental rate. However, the reasonable rate changed after the 3rd month (with less than 30 day notice as required per contract), and it jumped considerably. An immediate call to public storage customer service basically ended with tough luck & take your business elsewhere if you dont like it.This experience demonstrated the companys underhanded marketing and drive to ******* their customers. Whats worse is that I could rent another same size space at the same location for less than my original cost, but Id have to switch units. Does that even make sense?Since public storage was operating in bad faith, I took my business a quarter mile down the road to a competitor, and saved $40 over public storages rent and got an additional 15 sqft of space. Still had to move the contents to the new place, which is probably what public storage is banking on. That youd rather pay more than move your stored goods to a new location.I highly recommend any who read this comment to consider other options than doing business with public storage and their poor business practices. Clearly, public storage didnt care about their customer service or whether they lose customers as long as they can continue to lure in new ones.

      I was just notified that my Public Storage unit rental space will increase from $118.25 to $165.55 next month. When I questioned this 40% increase in rent with ***** at Public Storage, I was told:Every tenant renting with Public Storage is subject to periodic rate increases. For more information on increases, you can always refer to your rental agreement. When I asked if a 40% increase in one month is normal, ***** said There is no specific amount listed in the rental agreement that it can or cannot go up by.Am I the only one that thinks this is very shady business practice? I'm definitely moving out before the increase, but it feels like this is predatory behavior on people who maybe don't have the option to vacate their belongings. A random 40% increase in one month?? That's absurd!! Good luck with this business model, Public Storage!PS For those who want to move out to a better storage company, here here are the steps to vacate (that ***** sent me): Give a ***** hour advance notice (verbally or written). Remove all the items from the unit. Make sure its empty and clean. Remove the lock and keep it. Go to the office and get a vacate receipt (if possible).Customers need to vacate during business hours or will be charged accordingly. Full month's rent is required. We do not prorate or refund. You can schedule your move-out date up to 60 days in advance by logging into Your Account page and clicking STORAGE UNITS, then Schedule Move-Out

      On this occasion, their service is terrible. As a college student, we can barely make ends meet by ourselves, and to make matters worse, the public storage company has raised my monthly storage fees by hundreds of dollars. I would understand if I were late on payments, but I actually have a zero balance. I have asked three times to lower my monthly rate, but they have refused. It's hard to comprehend why such a small storage unit is so expensive. Due to the exorbitant fees and lack of assistance, I am seriously considering selling my belongings at auction and starting over.

      I cannot confirm other individual's experiences at this location, but unfortunately I was the victim of a burglary of my storage unit and was notified by the engineer who splits his time between locations. The location does not have security cameras that cover everyone's storage unit, and the location does not have staff onsite. The individual(s) who hit my storage unit cut through their latch in lieu of cutting my lock, and at this time my storage unit is still damaged with my material inside (public storage did provide a new lock).Currently I have not received support outside of the assistant ***** who did her best. I am still waiting for feedback from Public Storage for getting this resolved to ensure the items I still have in the unit are safe, and to discuss how they can with a straight face increase my monthly bill by $61 a month without notice after this situation. I was told that I was only ************ recent individuals who have been through the same situation.I do not mean this to be a rant, but I feel when an individual's possessions where under the protection of a company and are being compensated for it, they should do their best to provide support when they cannot live up to the situation, or at least provide a since of urgency for communication.After several weeks and calls, I received a credit on my account to waive a month's rent, but had received no information on if they were assisting the ************************************ with providing any information that could assist with avoiding future burglaries at the location or with my report. Their insurance department under the Orange Door Storage Insurance has also provided limited assistance in the situation. So far all information has been submitted, and going on three weeks without any updates or information from their team. This has been very difficult as my storage unit was robbed just prior to moving into my new location, and I am having to replace all stolen items at this time.

      Fantastic service from ******** in the front office and her manager! I had gotten scammed by another company that had pretended to get me a Public Storage reservation, and ******** and her manager worked tirelessly with me to get a real reservation with them and then figure out how to put a large, very tricky item into the right-sized space. ******** spent well over two hours with me, straightening out my reservations, figuring out what had gone wrong, and personally accompanying me to the storage unit to help me and my very antsy kindergartener get the job done. They could not have been nicer, and the space was clean and in perfect shape. I can't recommend them more highly!

      I cancelled a unit as soon as I learned that the unit wasn't climate controlled much to the confusion created by the websites wording. I asked for a refund, they confirmed it will be refunded the next day and it has been 13 days with nothing. Every time I ask the Customer Support, I get no assistance short of **************** is investigating this. There's nothing to investigate, give me my money back.

      The roof insulation fell thru on my unit and was never fixed after several complaints. They entered the unit and then left the door unlocked, told me it was fixed and it was not! Fast forward, unit was infested with mice droppings and I had to throw away hundreds of dollars of my belongings. I had purchased their insurance, so I thought I would be covered and I ended up getting $250! Even though My dining room table was actually chewed up!! I have told my family and friends to never use public storage if you care about your possessions.

      Charged us for a large unit but there was a 5 by 7 area walled off that we couldnt use. Tried to get a refund same day and next day but the refused
