      I would not ever do business with public storage again and I don't recommend nobody else does. I had all of my kids and my belongings in a storage unit for literally less than 13 DAYS. And 75% of my things were molded mildewed and wet. THE PROPERTY MANAGER ******* WITNESS EVERYTHING WITH HER OWN EYES!! She explain to me to make a claim and I did I lost over $5,000 worth of items. And they will POTENTIALLY give me *** of $250 for all of the things I lost. ******* is a very nice lady and she was very informative.I don't understand the point of having insurance for your belongings if it doesn't cover it. But public storage as a whole is absolutely TERRIBLE!!!! My things were at the property in ****** **. On *********.

      Like many others, I was lured into an online price back in Aug, 2022, in renting a storage unit where the monthly rate is due to change drastically! Thru no fault of my own? My rental rate is set to increase by 28% come February 1st, 2023..Current rate: $149; February 1st rate-$190!!! Outrageous considering the fact I can go online today & find a monthly rate of $142 for the same size storage unit with Public Storage @ the same location??? This company, this business has no conscious & doesn't understand fair & reasonable business practices..I've emailed the corporate ************** response was this: "our price scheme is fair & competitive?" Nonsense!!! Nothing fair & nothing competitive about this insane price increase...Lastly, it's the middle of winter & who in their right mind wants to endure moving contents out of a storage locker with ********** all over the ground?? I am disgusted by their lack of concern & lack of customer concern...I am put into a position of enduring this rate increase for a few months until the weather allows me the opportunity to remove my contents from my storage unit & permanently discontinue any future business with this company of no character...

      Worst company ever. Owned and run by greed. I have used Public Storage since 2008. At first they were reasonable but then starting raising my monthly cost and charging me over market value for the area my unit was in. My unit experienced some water damage because there was an apparent leak from the pipe overhead which ran over the top of my unit from the unit the facility used to store cleaning supplies and tools, etc. Their # was A001 and mine was A002. THEY NEVER NOTIFIED ME ABOUT THE ***** I discovered it when I was moving out in ************* 2022. My unit was a **** so a lot of damage was not noticed until I got 1/2 way into the unit. I lost a lot of items due to water damage, but was devastated when I uncovered my grandmother's Secretary that was given to my mother, then to me and I was getting ready to give it to one of my daughters. This piece was over l00 plus years old. I lost a lot of property from this water leak and/or theft because I am positive no one was watching over the company that was repairing it. They had the ability to get in my unit to make the repairs. Several items I had were gone but not noticed until I continued moving my things out. When I brought the manager to see the damage she said you need to call Orange Door Ins. and file a claim. Anyone who has filed a claim knows what a NIGHTMARE that is. PUBLIC STORAGE has proven to be greedy and they don't care about their customers based on your we don't care attitude. It's all about the money. They also need to get the people living on the property off the property for the safety of everyone. ********************* at **************** appears to have that problem. BEWARE ANYONE WHO IS CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY. THEY RAISE YOUR RATES OFTEN UNTIL ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO AFFORD IT. THEY CHARGED ME OVER MARKET VALUE MOST OF THE ***** THEY DON'T VALUE THE LOYALTY OF LONG TERM CUSTOMERS.

      If I could leave less than a star I would. Since Public Storage bought out the previous owners in ******* ** my rate has gone from $350 per month to $502 a year later, then $647 a year after that. This is plain and simple price gouging! Also their idea of climate controlled is 50 degrees during the cold weather and 80 during the hot weather. The woman in the office is also inept and rude (couldn't answer a simple question while she was standing there doing nothing while another customer was writing his check). I mean really how difficult is it to tell me if I have to give minimum notice when I move out?!? I am out as soon as I can get everything packed up and out. And guess what? They will get my notice the day I leave! Then they can collect $425 a month (if they can find someone to take it) instead of $647! Good riddance and never again will I rent from this company.

      They continually raise rates and saying that they're changing insurance that is why rent is increasing. Ripping off people.

      I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE PUBLIC STORAGE AS A COMPANY AND THE ONE ON *********** AND INDUSTRIAL DRIVE SPECIFICALLY. SOMEONE OR SOME GOVERNMENT ENTITY SHOULD STEP IN AND CHECK TO SEE IF THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY DO TO PEOPLE WITH THIS TYPE OF HIGHWAY ROBBERY. THEY GIVE YOU A PROMO TO GET YOU INTO YOUR STORAGE SPACE, WAIT ABOUT 4-5 MONTHS TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE FULLY SITUATED AND FULLY MOVED IN AND THEN BLINDSIDE YOU WITH A RATE HIKE. WHAT I AM SEEING IS AN ALMOST $250 HIKE. THATS SERIOUS BS. THEY GIVE YOU A MONTH TO MOVE OUT IF YOU DONT LIKE IT. IN MY CASE, I AM NOT EVEN FULLY MOVED IN BECAUSE OF THE WATER GETTING INTO THE **** WHEN IT RAINS. THEY CHANGED THE RUBBER STRIP ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR AND IT STILL LEAKS. I CLEANED OUT THAT **** BEFORE I COULD MOVE IN. WHEN I TOLD THE REPRESENTATIVE, SHE GAVE ME A DUMB STARE LIKE SHE DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I HAVE NEVER BEEN COVERED IS SO MUCH DIRT AND DUST. I AM GOING TO LET THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW WHAT KIND OF CROOKED MAFIA COMPANY THIS IS. THEY HAVE TO BE FLYING UNDER THE ***** DOING THIS TO PEOPLE AND PEOPLE COULD BE LOSING THEIR STUFF AS BIG BUSINESS TRIES TO GET BIGGER. MAN ALIVE, KEEP THIS WITHIN REASON PUBLIC STORAGE. EVEN GREED HAS A LIMIT.

      I have had my storage unit on *********** since 2014. Never missed a payment, never was late. Each year or so the price increased. I got the notice the10x10 unit I had was increasing to $339 a month. I lucked out and found someone in the office on November 10. She quoted similar units in the same building from $185-$218. She told me I was definitely overpaying! While I stood there she wrote to the billing ***** She said they would be back to me in ***** hours. No word. I stopped by quite a few times in the last ten days. Dark and empty office. I called the number on the door only to be put on hold. After 1/2 hour I gave up. Today, November 21, I finally got an email saying, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do" and a bill for $339. But, I can rent another unit if I choose. The place is nice and safe and I haven't had problems with the facility, but the gouging of long term clients is ridiculous. I'm moving!

      We get an email stating "As a benefit to our customers, we routinely do the rounds to make sure each space is properly locked. During our recent inspection, we found that Space XXXX was unlocked or improperly locked. Unfortunately, we can't lock your space for you. Please come to the property as soon as possible to secure your lock -- and everything you've stored in your space." We arrive 30 mins later to see they have in fact locked us out of our unit... cancelling immediately.

      I rented a storage unit on ***********************. In ******* **, which I DON'T recommend **** After the latest rate increase to $249 I decided I couldn't spend $3000 per year!!

      When I emptied my unit, was I surprised and angered to see that mice had eaten a rug in there! There were clumps of rug fibers and mouse turds everywhere.

      The road outside the unit had a huge pothole. It was raining heavy the day my son in law moved me out, and he had to step in and out of that rain-filled pothole - his shoes and pants legs were soaked.

      I will NEVER use this storage place again!!

      My automatic payment dropped on the 3rd of the month and I moved out on the 5th of the month. I was told at the rental location that it would be prorated. It's now the end of the month and no refund. I called customer service and was told that "unfortunately" they don't prorate, it goes month to month, which this information was not told to me when I initially set up the account. They were unapologetic and rude.
