    I purchased a Ring doorbell roughly 3 years ago and the battery no longer holds a charge more than 24%. I spoke with customer service and they told me this was normal and a camera should use 10% per day. So that means I would have to charge the camera every other day. Their solution was to give me 30% discount on more ring products. I am also paying monthly for a subscription that I cant even use because the doorbell barely works. I havent been able to use my doorbell camera for months because it wont hold a charge. I spent 45 minutes on the phone only to be conveniently disconnected right when I was about to get a resolution.

    I purchased $567.84 worth of Ring products on 3/3/25. At the time of purchase, there was a notation that expedited shipping was free with over $49 worth of products purchased. Expedited shipping is described as 1-3 days on Ring's website with order fulfillment listed as ***** hours. A "Fastest Delivery" date of 3/7/25 was provided to me in the "Order Summary" section of the order confirmation email. A couple of days after my order was placed, I noticed I didn't receive any updates regarding my order having been processed and shipped. I checked my confirmation email and selected the "Order Summary" dropdown again, only to find that my fastest delivery date was now listed at 3/12/25, A WEEK AND A HALF after my purchase date! I called into Ring on 3/5/25 and the ***resentative kept blaming it on *** and kept trying to re-direct me to file a complaint with ***. I called Ring again maybe the next day or 2 days later and another *** kept asking me for my email address and claiming that he couldn't find where I had even placed an order. Then "all of a sudden" he was able to quote my whole address and phone number. AND THEN, he again claimed that he couldn't find my order. I told him that he wasn't making sense and that I had an order number that I'm sure he could use. He "checked with his supervisor" and magically was able to discover that my products haven't even shipped, claimed a warehouse availability issue, and kept asking if I wanted to process a return. He then claimed that all of my items weren't available yet and that I couldn't get my order shipped without all items in the order. I tried to cancel some of the items to see if I could get my order faster but the *** told me that I would have to cancel the whole order. I got yet another email from Ring on 3/8/25 telling me they still haven't shipped my products yet, but the "Fastest Delivery" date still says 3/12/25. Where are my products??? Ring needs to overnight me my order and they need to do it immediately.

    I am rejecting this response because: I still dont have my equipment. No one has reached out to me yet. customer Service has been of no assistance, just headache to even have a basic conversation with them. Ive spent a lot of money for my products for them to not arrive anytime close to what I was quoted when I bought it. Theres been no expediting of my products either. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is somewhat satisfactory to me. 

    There was no good explanation offered about why Ring failed so miserably to communicate that their products were out of stock 3 seconds after I paid for all the items in my order. They never communicated that and allowed me to purchase out of stock items without indicating that the items were out of stock. Thats just bad business. There also werent any concessions offered outside of my refunds as I sent most of the items back. 

    Im not a happy customer. I likely wouldnt recommend ********************** to anyone else moving forward.

    We utilized our warranty from Ring and sent in all necessary documents and photos to show the defect in the video Ring doorbell. We were told we would be issued a replacement . This started in early January. We have called almost every week to every two weeks to see the progress of the replacement. We were promised this would occur but were told every month that they were still out of the battery doorbell. Yet on the website they are selling it. We kept getting the run around and never received our replacement. It feels as thought they dont want to give us the replacement. We want compensation especially since we have been without security all this time.

    I'm paying Ring for 3 locations, ******, ******** and ******* unfortunatly thier support is next to zero, the cameras keep failing one after he other and when I call them for help they want me to be at the location of the non wofking camera, instead of them sending techincion, So I have to buy a tiket and fly to ******* so they can trouble shoot and then they will send me a replacemnt camera that takes2 weeks or more then they need me to send the defective one back to them, so basiclay i have to spent hundered of dollars between flights and hotels and to leave my work so they can fix the issue, unbeliveble support. not to mention that the quality of the pisture and **** are very bad. I will never recomend them to any one

    Good afternoon,

    Thank you for following on this complaint, I just want to update you that ring did a terrible trying to fix the problem, actually they are not trying to do anything different from what they told me before, they want me to pay for someone to fix it. All they can do is to send the camera but I cannot be there to replace it,  both locations are out of town so it cost me over $1,000 to be there,  while they can send some technician that will cost them only $100 or so but they they're not willing to help and they don't know when the camera will arrive so I have to have somebody babysitting them waiting for the camera to arrive and change it and send them the old one back. This is their terrible strategy, they don't deserve to be in business I think they're going to keep losing customers one after the other if they keep doing this.

    Thank you for the additional information. Ring devices are a DYI, and we do recommend using ontech for devices that are not hardwired, if you need help setting up the devices. However, they would need to have access to your Ring app to set the Ring devices up.     This company is scamming people. I order a BATTERY on FEBRUARY 24TH AND IT HAS NOT SHIPPED! Yet the company charged my credit card BEFORE shipping the item. I have been ripped off. SEE the attachments, all they are doing is sending me multiple emails that my item hasn't shipped. IT DOES NOT TAKE 9 DAYS TO SHIP ONE ****!!! I have never dealt with this with any company I ordered from online and when I reached out to customer service to vent my frustration and cancel my order, they refused and said they can't refund me. So I have NO battery and they charged my card and won't refund my card!. SCAMMERS!!! I want my card refunded! YOU HAVEN'T SHIPPED THE **** AND IF THIS COMPANY WAS LEGIT I WOULD HAVE RECEIVED THE PRODUCT BY NOW! Refund me my money now!

    Hello,I reached out to Ring several times and have spoken with their trouble shooting team. My most recent conversation on 3/3/2025 ended with them not honoring a warranty that I am paying for. I specifically told the representative that the solar panel I was using does NOT WORK and have been trying it with different cameras that I have in the house. During the course of the conversation to, I made it very clear that the caps to the cameras may not align with the camera it came with because I was testing different combinations. When they were about to process the warranty claim, the representative came back on the phone and said they were no longer going to warranty it because the camera that had solar panel on it, was out of warranty BUT the other cameras on my paid subscriptions were still under warranty. She than stated that the solar warranty was based upon the cameras warranty. I than spoke to the Supervisor who told me that everything she had previously was wrong and that I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with her advising me incorrectly. They told me they would escalate it to a different to try to rectify but there was not guarantee. Come to find out that the solar panel is working and it was the camera that was not working probably. When I tried explaining and letting them know, they didn't want to hear it and would not confirm which cameras were under warranty and which weren't because they said "I would be incorrectly using it to get warranty". This makes no sense at all because I am paying for a warranty and they will not identify the cameras that are under warranty? Representative name was Gessa and the Supervisor was *****

    I had a recent break in into my house and our ring camera didn't catch anything. No motion detected to clip of the person breaking in. They even touched the camera to move it and it still didn't detect anything. I contacted ring support because I think the burglars messed with the signal and all ring can tell me is that my wifi is weak even though it detects all motion when I'm in my backyard. I've been a ring customer for years and I pay for a subscription and all they can do is try to get me to buy an additional ring chime pro, without fixing an actual security issue that allows burglars to bypass the ring camera. I will not be using ring anymore. The least they could do is refund me for my subscription and pay for my chime pro but they don't care

    My dad ***** ******* passed away. His email for the ring account is ********************** His card that was used to pay his annual subscription has been closed. Ring will only refund the original payment method and said that's the only option to refund. *********** stated the refund will not go through because the account is closed. I am the court appointed personal representative, and am seeking refund of $83 to the estate. They can mail a check in the name of the estate of ***** ******* to the address on file, or refund ************** debit card or bank account. They can't just tell someone your card closed so you don't get a refund and ring gets to keep the money. If they cannot issue a proper refund I'd like the address to the registered agent or wherever I can send a Warrant in Debt, civil claim for money. I will file it at the courthouse if they can't give a proper resolution.

    I am rejecting this response because:

     

    An executive, ******, reached out and told me a refund was issued to the card that is no longer in service and gave me an *** number. I called *********** and confirmed that they did not accept a refund, and that refunds are never accepted to a closed account per their policy. They also could not locate money with the *** number provided. I would like a proper refund, that a reasonable person would be able to recieve, that does not include a closed bank account. I can give them an active card to return the money to, or they can send a check in the name of the account holder to the address on file. Again, telling someone their out of luck because a card is no longer active and that there is no other reasonable alternative to a refund is not feasible.
