It just came to my attention that this company has been sharing my personal information, with data security company and insurance company. I was not able to "send" the "Cease and Desist" email I wrote to the company because I do not have and account, and I do not and have not given them permission to share my personal information; there is false information under my name and address; relatives and people who live at my residence which is false information. This false information gives criminals avenues to commit more crimes. Suspicious mail, mailed to my address has had some of the same names. Last three years, I had to report to *********************************** send photos/video of the mail theft, tampered/vandalized items in packages. I have had identity theft (credit card) and breach of my medical information. Again, I would like all of my information taken out of Peoplewhiz.com data base I want to OPT OUT of sharing my personal information in any form. Thank youBusiness Response

Thank you for contacting us regarding your concerns. Peoplewhiz is a provider of over 67 billion public records. Our data architecture and proprietary technology allows us to search through the records and deliver results instantly to our customers. We do not have control of the public records available, but we do allow individuals to remove their name from the database. The driver's license is only requested to validate the identity of the individual requesting (there can be multiple people with matching names and cities) for their information to be removed and to help us with our monthly compliance review. I am not getting any returns for your name and location. Can you please provide a screenshot of the listings you want removed? You do not need to provide an ID. Also, please provide the email used to sign up for your account and I will process a refund.Initial Complaint

I am requesting Whizpeople and their affiliates remove my husbands personally identifiable information including his name, age, current/prior locations, names of relatives, and telephone number. To our dismay, his information has published without our authorizations and knowledge. Requesting a speedy resolution to avoid further escalation with the Attorney General's Public Inquiry Unit. I have attached a screenshot of his information directly from their business page for the Better Business Bureaus review.Business Response

For legal and documentation purposes, I am requesting that (Peoplewhiz) remove all uniquely identifying information including age, location, names of relatives, and telephone number. Nor will they retain and/or possess my information and/or that of my familys for business purposes. California Senate Bill 362 (SB 362) is a law that gives consumers a way to request that data brokers delete their personal information. The bill also requires data brokers to register and be subject to penalties if they don't comply. Thus required to honor deletion requests and take appropriate measures to protect consumers' privacy. The widespread practice of data brokering has raised significant privacy concerns as individuals often have little control over how their personal information is collected and used which may result in fraud and identity theft. I understand that Peoplewhiz is a public records search engine that gathers and displays public records in a clear and informative report. The information provided is publicly available information compiled from various public databases, government entities, commercial data providers, and other sources of public data. However, this company and its affiliates have not been authorized from sharing such details. Will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Public Inquiry Unit in-addition to pursuing legal recourse if a speedy resolution cannot be provided.I kindly ask that all personally identifiable information be ********** information is addressed as ***** ******* age 33 My father ******* James ******* is deceased (************** ~ Jan. 3, 2009), I have attached his obituary information for your review:******************************************************************************************* Mother ****** ******* age 58 Attached our information from Peoplewhiz for your review.Business Response

Peoplewhiz.com is the only data broker who asks for a government issued ID to complete an opt out request to remove information from their website. I find this absolutely preposterous as my motivation for attempting to get my data removed is to decrease the amount of personal information about me online. My driver's license being requested is a HUGE overstep.Business Response

I received a notification that Peoplewhiz was selling my personal information. This service appears to be publicly displaying sensitive and potentially damaging information about me online, without my consent or knowledge, such as: Current and previous addresses, Full name, Age, Family details, and my date of birth. This information could be used for identity theft, stalking, or other malicious purposes. I strongly object to the company's demand for my personal identification as a condition for removing this information. I believe this requirement is unlawful and violates my privacy rights. I should not be required to provide personal identification to correct a situation where the company has already unlawfully obtained and disseminated my private information. No other website that displays personally identifiable information has this requirement.Business Response

Hello, as I never opted into having my information hosted by PeopleWhiz, demanding I send them even more information in the form of my ID is a gross overstep in privacy.
