    I am constantly harassed by FCR Collection Services regarding debt I do not have. They claim that it is for an outstanding balance for a rental textbook - each textbook I have rented has been returned and paid for in full and I do not have outstanding balances with any bookstores. Unless FCR Collection Services can provide verification that I have outstanding debt, I would like for all calls and emails to stop immediately and to not be contacted in in the future.

    I was contacted via email by this company stating I had not returned a textbook. I was able to find my order (from 2013?!) on the website where it clearly states the book was returned.

    I received an email yesterday on Wednesday, 11/9 indicating that they were intending to collect from a company called "skyo" - upon searching for this company, I was actually taken to another website called "ValoreBooks"; this indicates to me that this is a false claim. Based on many other BBB complaints, I'm assuming this must be related to a textbook rental... and, as it relates to college textbooks, I have been out of undergraduate studies since 2015, I stopped renting years prior to this, AND all textbooks were always sent back. There was no information provided about why there were contacting me, what the issue was about, etc. It's also odd to be contacted more than 7 years later regarding an issue like this...

    We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. The textbook in question was originally rented from skyo.com which was subsequently purchased and is now owed by valorebooks.com. Our initial attempted communication regarding this occurred quite some time ago on 06/12/2014, but it doesnt appear we ever had an opportunity to discuss this matter with you.

    We are unable to provide specific details in emailed correspondence, but the email sent would have provided a website to log in and review the details pertaining to the account.

    Per your request all communications have been ceased and we will no longer attempt to contact you. If you would like to discuss the matter further,you can reach a representative Monday Friday between the hours of 7:00 am 4:30 pm PT at **************.

    On 9/26/2022 at 2:19 central time, I received an email from *** Collection claiming I had a textbook due from *******************************, and it requested I pay. It gave me the account number ********. I graduated ****************, however I returned my textbooks and I never took any classes from the college of health science. For my freshman year (2017), I had an overdue macroeconomics book, but I paid that off the following semester to the **************** Bookstore. I do not believe this is the subject of this collection effort. This is not the first time I have been contacted by ***, but each time they called my phone, they promptly hung up (9/12/22, 8/29/22) and additional times they have left automated voicemails when I was unavailable to answer.I request to view the *** records which indicate I owe money, because I believe this to be in error.

I also apologize for any disconnected calls; on our side I do not see any calls logged on 09/12/22 or 08/29/22 but I see several other dates where a voice message was left. Per your request I have marked your account as DO NOT CONTACT and have requested a copy of your rental agreement.You can also access the website provided in the email you received to view the titles in question. Due to the request to cease communication FCR Services will not be able to reach out to you, however if you would like to call to obtain a copy of the rental agreement you can speak to a representative at ************** Monday - Friday between 7:00 am 5:00 pm pt.
