I have never done any business with Liberty Lending. Therefore, there calls to me are also in violation of *** regulations. A complaint is also being lodged with the ***. I will allow 24 hours from this complaint for Liberty to react, after which, any further contact will also be reported to the office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General for possible legal action.Business Response

Liberty First Lending is engaging in predatory mail offer practices. Their envelope states Violation Punishable by Fine or Imprisonment, and Dated Material: Open Immediately. This is wrong to scare people into opening their unsolicited mail offers.Business Response
Date: 03/25/2025
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that receiving mail with certain language on the envelope caused ************ concern, and we sincerely apologize for any distress this may have caused him.
Mr. ******** name was included on one of our marketing lists, which led to him receiving this communication. The language on the envelope, referencing 18 USC 1702, is a simplified version of a federal regulation. Its purpose is to protect mail recipients by discouraging unauthorized persons from tampering with their correspondence. We want to assure Mr. ******* that the language was not intended to be threatening or deceptive.
For context, the full text of the regulation reads:
Whoever takes any letter, postal card, or package out of any post office or any authorized depository for mail matter, or from any letter or mail carrier, or which has been in any post office or authorized depository, or in the custody of any letter or mail carrier, before it has been delivered to the person to whom it was directed, with design to obstruct the correspondence, or to pry into the business or secrets of another, or opens, secretes, embezzles, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
While the language on the envelope was intended to protect mail recipients, we recognize that it was not well-received in this instance.
Upon receiving Mr. ******** complaint, we immediately removed him from all our marketing and contact lists, including our internal Do Not Contact list, to ensure he will not receive any further communication from us.
We deeply regret any discomfort this situation may have caused Mr. ******* and appreciate him bringing this matter to our attention so we can continue to improve.Initial Complaint

Liberty First Lending advertises their business as a debt consolidation loan company and do the classic bait and switch and then try to get people to sign up for a debt settlement company, called ********. This should be illegal and the company should be fined. No where in our 20 minute conversation do they say anything about their company being called ********, instead of Liberty First Lending, or anything about their company being a debt settlement company.Business Response

Liberty First Lending (Liberty) has received BBB Complaint ******** from James ***** and appreciates the opportunity to respond.
Liberty provides personal loan services, personal loan brokerage services, and also generates lead traffic that it routes to trusted partners for the offering of partner
services. Both Advantage Law and ******** are trusted partners that can offer help to those who are over-burdened by unsecured debt.
Mr. ***** contacted Liberty in response to an advertisement for those seeking information on consolidation loans. A soft pull of his credit report demonstrated
that these partners may be able to offer significant benefit to him because of the amount of unsecured debt he has. Due in part to the amount of that debt, Mr.
***** was unable to qualify for the loan at the time and the trusted partners may be able to help him reduce his debt load.We apologize for any miscommunication. .If Mr. ***** has further questions or concerns, we are happy to assist.

Since 11/27/24 Liberty First Lending has called and texted over 112 times and has left voicemails in excess causing my voicemail box to fill. Our records show that we first received a lead on 11/27/24 associated with the
