I received a bill in the mail 1/16/24 stating that I owe $487.00.I called Monarch Dental on 1/17/24, to see what this bill was for. The representative from Monarch Dental stated it was for my daughter ****** dental appointment that was on 1/07/22. I let her know that I never had a lapse in dental insurance, and this should have been fully covered.I made calls to Monarch Dental several times. Each time, the Monarch representative told me that the manager was not available and that she would have her call me back. The manager never once called me back, despite the repeated calls I made. I attempted to call again on Feb 20, 2024, I was able to get a hold of the manager. She proceeded to tell me that she resubmitted the claim but got a denial on the 30th because the time to file was past the time allowed, and now it was my responsibility to pay the balance due. When I called my dental insurance again on Feb 20, 2024, I spoke with the representative ***, and she gave me all the information listed below: *****'s Dental appointment 1/7/22 Monarch Dental submitted the initial claim on 1/11/22.The insurance company sent a letter notifying the provider (Monarch) that they were missing the billing address location on the claim form. No response from the provider was ever received, and the claim was closed/pending on 2/8/22 for no response (RMI). The provider (Monarch) resubmitted another claim for the 1/7/22 appointment (with the treatment location this time) on Dec 19, 2023. It was denied on 12/30/23 due to not filing timely. The provider technically had 12 months to submit the claim within the allotted timeframe, however, waited two years to do so. Monarch Dental should have some sort of way to track outstanding claims in their system. This is pure negligence and malpractice to make this the patient's responsibility to pay. Responsibility should not be on the account holder, and the balance due should be removed from my account.

Made me pay in advance, then months later call and call and call to collect more money. No bill...just harassing phone calls. I then send them a check for the money they said I owned.... they call again.Waiting room? All they talk about is money. I feel bad for the patients. It was also a dirty place.

I chose a dental plan through Cigna who advertised Monarch as a provider. Fast forward a little over a year... I go in and ask for an extraction, they tried to up-sell me to a crown. I ask the cost, they tell me the price with my dental plan (on top of what I already paid around another 500), which I assumed was fair...The day I go in for crown mold and temp crown fit. The Dr said we can bridge this. I asked price. The woman comes in and say with your plan and coverage we can do this for a total of this number. I'm reassured that this is the price and it will work. So I sign and pay full amount that day. The first temp crown was not properly trimmed and started to cut into my upper cheek. I come back to have it redone (just to hear the Dr. in the background raising h*** for stalling the flow of business and not caring about the clients as people). During the fixing of the temp crown, the hygienist loses a piece of metal (assumed down my throat). Fast forward again, bridge and crown set, fast forward few months. I get a plan denial letter saying they would not honor what Monarch said they could do...Monarch later sends me a bill wanting another 1k dollars....Why would you tell a customer and sell them on a service you should've known wouldn't be covered and are now trying to hold me accountable for your mistakes, on top of the improper temp crown situations....later an arbitrator makes contact and I explain the situation and bring up the aspect of likely seeking legal counsel. The arbitrator said she would look into the matter and follow up. Never followed up almost a year later. I get a notice threatening to send off to a 3rd party collector. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY NOT THE PATIENT AND WILL FALSELY TELL YOU A PRICE JUST TO SCAM YOU LATER

To, The owner of Bright Now Dental, Orthopedic ***************************** I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding the visit my son and I had at your orthopedic clinic on 02-23-24. My son, and I visited your clinic seeking medical assistance for his orthopedic condition. However, what should have been a routine medical appointment turned into a distressing and discriminatory experience due to the unacceptable behavior of one of your staff members.During our visit, we encountered a staff member who, instead of treating us with professionalism and respect, made racially charged remarks directed towards my son and me. As a Black mother with a White son, I was appalled and deeply hurt by the racially insensitive comments made by your staff member. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable in any healthcare setting. It is disheartening to think that in this day and age, individuals still harbor such prejudiced views, especially within a profession that is supposed to prioritize patient care and well-being. Discrimination of any form has no place in healthcare, and it is deeply troubling to know that my son and I were subjected to such treatment during our visit to your clinic.I urge you to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that all staff members undergo comprehensive training on diversity, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity. Furthermore, I request a formal apology from your clinic on behalf of my son and me, as well as assurances that steps will be taken to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.I trust that you will handle this matter with the seriousness and urgency it deserves. Failure to address this issue adequately will compel me to take further action, including reporting this incident to the appropriate authorities and seeking legal recourse.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this issue.

This company had the audacity to send me to collections stemming from a bill four years ago that they made errors on around the 2020 Covid 19 shutdowns. I was actively paying them every month until I reported them to the BBB and I never heard or received a bill from them again. They are only supposed to send someone to collections when they REFUSE to pay their bill. Its really disappointing that I always found their staff and services good.

In August 2023, I went to the ******************* BrightNow location for some routine dentistry. She attempted to perform a crown on a recessed molar, something published textbooks clearly state is an endodontic procedure. She ground my molar into a ****** exposed nerve that couldn't be saved. I had to get an emergency extraction, which perforated my sinus and requires several more procedures and an implant to repair. This is gross negligence of proper procedure and has left me near $8000 in debt and immense pain. I have at least 2 more procedures and an implant to go through and it's going to be well over $10k to repair what was once a fine and functioning tooth.I can't get ahold of anyone in the office to make amends. They charged me for work that hadn't yet been performed. They're now ignoring all my communication. It's published in articles how hard it is to *** a dentist, even for complete incompetence. Their service is criminal and there's 100s of complaints. They need to be held accountable. I could have died and I definitely have permanent damage. This business is shameful.

I went to bright now dental in ******** ****. I had an allergic reaction to lidocaine shaking, blood pressure up, trouble breathing. No one called a squad or contacted my emergency contact and I was there for like 6 hours! They pulled my bottom back right tooth very painful loud crack screamed oww. Didn't heal right there is a slit and swelling. They broke upper back tooth trying to get it out. Terrified of dentists now. I contacted bright now on ******** messenger and they forwarded my messages to manager there. She was nice on the phone. Told me to come in and would fix it for free! That was a lie! Dentist told me they didn't know what was causing what they did to my bottom tooth to go to an oral surgeon to find out why. My husband was sitting in the room when he told me this. Then they do nothing to fix what they messed up! It wasn't an issue until there dental care! If I am not contacted to correct this hiring an attorney!

This company does not know how to file paperwork correctly for insurance purposes. The result of this is a customer receiving a bill that they should not receive due to their lack of training. Their company is an in network provider for the Military and all Military members should avoid this company at all cost. I have been battling a bill for ************************************************************** place with the **** for Military members. I have had *************** reach out to this dental office about 7 times, I have called the current dental office about 10 times and have called the corporate office and emailed them to fix this issue and it still hasnt been resolved. This company needs new management and an abundant amount of training when filing with insurance companies. I have never had this much trouble with a dental office in the last 20 years of my military career.
