      I joined LA Fitness at the ********** and ******** location in ***********. I have nothing bad to say about the gym itself. I was always clean and had a lot of very good equipment and rarely was anything out of service as the maintenance was good too.Shortly after COVID began the gym initially shut down (as did all establishments) and once they reopened members were required to schedule appointments. Due to my work schedule this made going to the gym extremely difficult so I decided to cancel my membership. This is where the problems started.I went into my location and was told that the manager was not available and to cancel I would have to submit my cancellation in the form of a letter. I went home, printed off a letter and returned to the gym with it in hand. I was then told they cannot accept it but rather I have to mail it in. I mailed the letter via *********** with tracking and the letter did arrive.Years later I noticed a charge from LA Fitness on my credit card. I went back through my transactions and found that there were sporadic charges on my credit card over the last couple years since cancelling my membership. I called my bank to block any further charges.I just recieved a voicemail this morning stating that my account is now in the negative and I owe the gym money. How is this possible?It is worth noting that I used to attend Premier Fitness in Etobicoke a long time ago and they too used these exact same tactics making it impossible to cancel a membership and continuing to make unauthorized transactions on my credit card.

      LA Fitness makes me impossible to cancel personal trainer package, even though I spoke with manager multiple times and told me that I can cancel or frizz the account anytime, but now that I want it because the service is bad. Since I had the problem I spoke with him about it and he told me that he will frizz the account for the bad service (trainer issue, cancel sessions, change trainer and nobody mention to me) and get refund as they charged it to my credit card after I spoke with him but nothing, he doesn't have manner to treat people also He is not honest as why they offer that we can cancel or frizz account ( as this is better and don't pay fee next time but if you cancel it, you have to pay fee again) that it is not true, now I want to cancel as the bad service. Also, I called the corporate and they told me that they can not do it as the agreement and they don't know why the manager offer me to refund and frizz or cancel account that is not possible. Manager just lie to me all the time. Honestly, this is the worst decision that I get with this company, I though this company was good but now I will not recommend this gym.

      I would love to upload the ** images and emails I have sent this location. This location has been a dirty land fill since before covid. Roaches in the sauna and trash everywhere, ****** machines. Not sure how this a facility has an A rating when all the reviews are negative.
