Had my start date pushed another week and will probably be pushed again. God knows why companies will use this company. Just look at the reviews! Ive never had this issue with mom and pop shops ever. They arent even doing my employment history which I can only imagine how much worse that would be than it already is. I hope to god I never have to use hire right again. Honestly if a company is using hire right I might not even apply! People cant wait weeks to start just for a background check!!!!!HireRight

If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. This organization has been nothing but a disappointment. They label information as unverifiable apparently without even contacting the references provided. They make promises to take action, only to consistently fail to follow throughthen disappear with zero follow-up.Ive made repeated phone calls, and at one point was told to expect results within 72 to 48 hours (yes, in that exact backwards order). Still, nothing happened. Other representatives claimed the process would take 15 dayswhich is completely unacceptable.This company handles sensitive personal information, yet I have no confidence in their ability to manage or protect that data appropriately. Its honestly baffling that any organization would choose to work with them.A thoroughly terrible experience from start to finish. That **** theres ever actually a finish.HireRight

Worst experience I ever had to go through. The HireRight asked for documents. I uploaded all my Employment Verification documents and they still keep sending me emails to upload these documents. They said they could not reach certain employers, however if I gave you my social security and employers contact number. They still could not reach them. One is a car dealership. Car dealership always answer incoming cars especially if its a customer inquiring about a vehicle. So that was a lie. I called got two weeks to resolve this situation and two of their contact numbers went to a fax ringtone. This HireRight company is hold up my job which is imported. I passed everything else so whats the problem. I sent them my Employment W-2 forms and they are still requesting this information ater I sent them everything I have. I dont know why companies are using this HireRight company.HireRight

The process has been incredibly frustrating. I provided them with plenty of documentation, yet they are unable to verify my background. If the background check fails due to incompetence and inaccuracy, I will pursue legal action.HireRight

So extremely disappointed in hire right, similar to every other complaint below mine it has taken 3+ weeks for my background check to get completed. I have now had to push my start date back twice and possibly a third time because they can't get it right. I have done everything I can on my end to expedite this process with no resolution. I don't understand how a business can have this many complaints for something so important, and isn't sued by now for negligence.HireRight

Worst Background check ever!! We are closing in on a month now, and still no updates. Every agent I speak with gives me a different date. My start date has been repeatedly pushed back due to the lack of urgency with this company. Not one person I spoke to has a clue what's going on. I just get the same generic message from each of them. DO NOT RECOMMENDHireRight

Just like it has been stated before. Every single CS representative hardly speaks English and is hard to understand what they are saying. I have called several times to inquire about the delayed of my background check. I have never had a background check take 3+ weeks not even when I was in the military my clearance took this long. I have documents of all the previous associated name search matches and they're refusing to received my notarized paperwork. I also requested a supervisor and they refuse to let me escalate my claim or let me speak to a supervisor. They should not even have this type of place open if all the staffing is this incompetent.HireRight

Kind of at a loss here. Got a pre adverse notice from company trying to hire me and I may lose my job because they will take up to ***************************************************** one week. I have never been rejected due to a background check before and have no way of figuring out what is going on.HireRight

Hire-Right is very incompetent it takes them forever to do a simple background check. A background check should take no more than a couple of days. All of their background checks takes weeks. I don't know how they are still in businessHireRight

However, on the same day that the report was ordered, one search location that is a known delay location, was notated as such, together with relevant explanatory information as to why that one location is a known delay location, given a state-wide action there, in addition to providing an approximation as to how long the search could take. The remaining search completed prior to that given approximation. This is the worst background check company I've ever dealt with in my life. For one they don't speak hardly any English and can barely understand a word that they saying to you. On top of that they send you an email with instructions on how to return your requested documents back to the company and when you follow any of the three options then they'll email you back stating that you can't do that you need to mail it in. When you send them an email back to them with documents proving that one of their agents said it was okay to do any of those three options they deny it and say no.HireRight
