      I received notification of an EGREGIOUS ERROR with my background check. HireRight is completely wrong and incompetent! I was NOT ARRESTED 2003 for ****** and I DID NOT SERVE A 20 year prison term for ****** as I was ON ACTIVE DUTY AS AN OFFICER WITH SECURITY CLEARANCE in the ************ from Nov 2002 - Oct 2024. Additionally, HireRight has my DD-214 Honorable Discharge paperwork proving I was on active duty at that time and was HONORABLY DISCHARGED! I have an ACTIVE TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE that was recently renewed! If I lose this job due to their incompetence I am going to sue them for damages!

      AWFUL! They wrote this in my report:Jan 30, 2025 4:38 PM PST - **** ******** - Note: HireRight has attempted to verify information directly with the listed school however source declines to provide verification and applicant has not responded to HireRight or has no other contact information or documents that can assist. {usr}That is false. They directly contacted Princeton where I got my masters and frustrated the registrar office. They faxed the info to them, sent it snail mail, and I uploaded a transcript. They were pushy for info they had no rights to over the phone and after three weeks and multiple tries still couldn't verify my masters. ********* (PTS) said it would speak directly to my employers but they were done talking to HireRight. Very frustrating experience. Luckily my new job did not go away because they failed at this.

      Horrible business. I've had multiple background checks for employment without issue for higher level work, and got results within a few days. This one takes forever and makes reporting contractor experience a pain.

      Im currently stuck in a loop of more documents needed with HireRight, while trying to get through pre-hire onboarding for a company I worked for previously for over ten years! I took a year off to be self employed and decided that wasnt right for me. I have now responded six times to HireRight , providing documentation they requested. Each time, Ive contacted customer support who just says nothing else is needed, you need to give us 48 hours to reviewand then 48 hours later, I get a notification that they need something else. The position to which Ive been re-hired would have me on a PIP final warning for that level of rework and client abrasion. A process that should have taken 2 days is now going into a second week.

      This is the worst background check company I have ever seen! I have done many background checks in my life. Ive done full **** fingerprint checks that didnt take this long and didnt have the issues this company has claimed to have. They lie to the employer by telling them that youre not complying, they make up discrepancies, they either don't email you that they need a document or they make you upload many times over many days. Ive never had a discrepancy on my SSN and these fools claim there is one and they havent cleared it. SSA can clear this in minutes, yet they wont do it. Ive never had a background check take over a month and I have to stay on them! No employer should use this company. I feel they make up fake issues to be able to charge the employer more for extra work!

      Hireright has MROs who do not do their research. I had my background and drug screening through Hireright. My drug screening came back with one of my medications reflected. My prescriber sent the letter they requested and the research since they did not even bother. The letter was sent Sunday evening, by Monday morning they rejected everything and did not overturn my screening which leads myself and my prescriber to believe they did not even open what was requested. They fought with me over the phone and kept repeating the same scripted response over and over again. Im not sure how companies still use them. However, I do not recommend them and if you are applying for a job and they tell you theyre using this company - I recommend just rejecting the offer because chances are Hireright will make sure you dont get it.

      I can't believe anyone would pay for their "service" a simple background check and it hasn't been completed yet over 10 days and they say estimated another 9 days more for completion. When I reached out to who they were waiting on, they were able to give me the info immediately and said they had not heard from them. It's like they enjoy screwing with people and them getting a job. When I asked why it was taking so long all the supervisor could say was we are diligently working our processes.
      For your business and your future employees sake,
      Do NOT hire this company!

      HireRight is a bad company and I don't see how people still use them. They are the worst company I know. I am doing a background check for a new job and HireRight keep asking for the same thing over and over. I am sick of them texting and emailing me for nonsense. I hope y'all see this and read it good. Please don't hired this company for anything!

      Provided W2 and POST transcripts verifying my employment. However, they continue to advise me that they cannot verify my employment. They are extremely slow, and incompetent. May lose my job offer because of them. They dont articulate very well what they need from you and often backpedal trying to cover their mistakes.

      I can't believe companies pay for their "service" 3 weeks and a simple criminal background check hasn't been completed and they say estimated completion is still another week. Because of Monroe County New York supposedly not responding to their request. But they will try to extort you for more money to use their expedited service if you want it completed any faster. It's amazing that I'm running the risk of not being hired with a clean record waiting on them to complete the "services" they are being paid for.
