  We paid $5,000.00 to Ideal Tax and they have done nothing except ask for the same information over and over.When we first contacted Ideal Tax they asked us for four or five years of tax returns. After analyzing the information we were told they could surely help us.Throughout the over two years (almost 3years), they have continued to ask for the same information over again and again. To us, it feels as if the information we initially sent to Ideal Tax was lost or ignored as employees were replaced by more current employees. Thus concentrating their efforts on newer clients.They definitely have not spent more than a few weeks worth of work on our case. We would like to receive part - if not all - of our payment. At this point the refund would now pay all our taxes in full.

  Run! My husband and I hired this company to fix our state taxes and they made things for the worse! The person I was working with ********* ***** kept telling us on the phone that we only owed under ******. When we finally did reach the last stage we were told to sign a piece of paper not realizing what it was . We started out with a balance of ****** thats with my husbands check already being garnished they were no help with that and there still garnishing his check, they did not look into any programs that we may qualify for or offer any additional assistance. Phone calls were very infrequent they always called while I was sleeping or at work. We paid a lot of money for this service for no help from them at all! Will be disputing the charges!

  I paid ******* in full Dec 2023 have no communication except change of case workers 5 times will not answer my calls I asked for money back they haven't told me anything about what programs I'm available for. I'm terminally ill and they know it!! Today still said they would give me ****** back but no answer for what they are doing or have done on my case 4 times they left a message saying I have a new case worker and couldn't understand thick accent sent them paperwork 3 times I have no scanner or printer spent ****** just on that!! I'm trying to get affairs in order and they have been no help and don't care because I paid ******* in full there is no answer on a resolution at all only that they are processing!!! What does that mean???? I should know what programs there are,or what if anything they are doing one case worker told me 5 people have quit!! NO COMMUNICATION NEVER SHOULD HAVE PAID THEY DO NOTHING TO HELP YOU WITH TAXES IM VERY SICK THESE PEOPLE HAVE NOT GIVEN ME ANY PAPERWORK!! I HAVE RECEIPT WHERE I GAVE THEM ******* I TOLD THEM I WANT FULL REFUND AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD GIVE ME ****** BACK,STILL NO EXPLANATION OF WHATS GOING ON!!! IDEALTAX WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FAMILY OWNED I GUESS 5 PEOPLE QUITTING MUST HAVE PROBLEMS NOW HAVE TO PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO HELP ME!!

  I am a 63 year old lady and I have issues with my back taxes that I haven't paid. Somehow I thought that I was looking up relief from the *** and I've seen the fresh start program so I called them and left my message and I may even talk to someone and they said it would get back with me. Up on them getting back with me ideal TAX was who contacted me. So with me assuming that they were with the *** because I asked them where they with fresh start they told me yes. So we went through the process of getting started with questions and answers and the guy name was ************** he was the one that asked for the first payment of $295 to start the program and that was July 15th 2025. I sign the papers online with my signature approving the payment through my banking account and I have proof of that payment. He didn't say if anyone would be contacting me but he said they would start working *** case. So within five or six days there was this guy from ideal tax name **** that stated he had finished with my taxes and he needed to talk with me to complete the resolutions. I didn't know at all what to think I tried to call **************** back and ask him why is someone else calling me and he didn't return my call. So I looked at the text again that **** has sent and realized it was from ideal tax, so I proceeded to call him however he got back with me later he was busy and called me back another day. And that was 8:00 in the morning on the 25th of July, in which he stated that he would have to call me a little later, he called me back then continued. I feel ideal tax was taking my money and not giving me paperwork on what they're doing I asked .. for this and he said it was included after I paid my $380 and set up payment arrangements for more payments. But after I finished up with him on the phone and went back and looked at this statement of payment arrangement there was no such thing to tell me about what he was doing so I need a complaint of work not being shown.

  After reading the other reviews on Ideal Tax, I absolutely don't understand why they have not been sued as a fraudulent company at this point. I was told that I was in the resolution process and that we were going to settle with the amount owed to the ***** Guess what, that's not what happened! For one, don't expect to get good customer service because you won't hear from your representative unless they need something from you. Other than that, you better be prepared to hear nothing back from them for weeks. Instead of settling the amount owed like I was told, (which is the only reason why I decided to go with Ideal Tax), the money previously owed came directly out of my refund that I received this year. Without Ideal Tax even mentioning anything to me! Not even a "Hey, this is what we have to do", just NOTHING. So my big question.. why did I pay $2,200 PLUS a $295 fee to get started and get the *** "off my back" when you in return actually did not do anything for me or my family? Serious question, WHAT DID I PAY FOR? I've been trying to ask this for weeks but my sweet representative, ***************************, can't stomach up the courage to respond to my phone calls, emails, or texts, to give me some sort of answer. This is absolutely insane and I want every ***** of my money back. I was also told that I would not have to pay the late fees or any other fees accrued by the *** but that also isn't true. Don't let them pressure you or make you feel like your situation is impossible without them, they really made me feel like we had no choice. Please don't fall for it. Again, I want my money back and I never wish to deal with such an incompetent business again.

  I am really upset and I trusted Idealtax to help me, but I have no choice than writing this review. I really wanted to avoid it and just get my taxes backfiled, but after 9 months and so many discussions, it's still not done and I just don't know what to do anymore.My concerns are as follows:Aggressive sales tactics were used on the phone (the associate was pressuring to sign immediately, telling me I am in debt 40k$ with the **** even offering a discount down to 7000$ which by the way, was not honored). Later I realized that my situation was not nearly as bad as the picture that was painted on the phone. Nine months have passed, and my back taxes, for which I paid $9000 for five years of back filing, have STILL not been filed. Despite all the documentation I sent in a timely manner, multiples check-ins, mails, phone calls and reinsurance that "it will be done in the next 2 weeks" (this I heard at least 3 times).Communication from Ideal Tax has been inconsistent, with redundant requests for information.Despite my repeated inquiries, the work has not been completed.I am now just really upset, and writing this to warn other people. I have a feeling they just won't file and I can't wait in this uncertainty any longer (not to mention interests accruing). I am expecting an immediate resolution because at this stage I am seeking legal counsel. If you are reading this, don't fall for this scam and call a tax professional. I now found many that would do the same for an hourly rate (in my case, I received average estimates of 600$ total).

  This company doesn't help you lower your payments for the **** ******** is a scam and they take $5000 from you to supposedly help with your taxes. I would advise any and everybody to stay away from this company for your tax concerns. The company will have you broke and discussed with yourself just for dealing with their company. Please don't waste your time, money and energy in ********. If you do you will be sorry for the efforts you put into getting better assistance for payments to the **** Go through IRS yourself because that will probably be cheaper than paying a extra $5000 out of pocket to a scam company.

  I paid them to take care of my 2006 and the did not not bc they couldn't but bc the are very unorganized i spoke to 6 different people and still no resolution they kept losing my paperwork and they asked me for more money after i already paid them they told me they would help me and did not i would never recommend them to anyone i only gave them one star bc i had to

  It's true they do not communicate but they are very quick to call about payments. I was told a lawyer name ***************************** would contact me 5 days after receiving my money no call I have been the one calling them because I was told to after 5 days. They seem very nice and kind telling you your qualifications you was approved for the irs forginess then ask for a down payment to start. I have paid they will ask for a deposit to start then I paid ***** bucks to start am sorry but I am dealing with the irs and that's very stressful and there is no way that I can pay them another ***** and my case is not being handled am getting garnishment and levy letters from the irs and the I keep getting told *************************** is your lawyer and she will contact you shortly. I have even been told after paying the first payment that they will contact irs to get a stop on the levy. I CALLED IRS THEY HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANYTHING!. They have absolutely no communication at all only time you hear from them is when they want a payment I think I want a refund and I will find another lawyer that I can trust. If I am paying my money I need communication and also consistency that everything is falling in place accurately I think I want a refund.
