My dad has been patroning this restaurant for years and enjoyed his meals happily. As of yesterday however, he got food poisoning for a bean and cheese burrito he ordered due to his diet being limited. He requested for them not to include hot sauce in his burrito, and the burrito was filled with hot sauce. He was sick all day, and you can imagine everything that happens with food poisoning most certainly happened. My dad is a compassionate man, but as his daughter, I'm not having none of it. And I'm calling you guys out for not considering someone's dietary request, for the sake and safety of his health with urgent mindfulness. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received at your [Del Taco Restaurant located in ***********, CA store # **** on May 5, 2025, at approximately 3:08 a.m.I placed an order for hot fries no salt and a Del Dbl Burger at the drive-thru window and was served by an employee named ****. The fries I received were cold. When I informed **** that my fries were cold, she tasted one of my fries, closed the window, and did not return. Even though several cars was behind **** waited at the window and began recording the interaction on my phone. Approximately 13 minutes later, another employee, presumably a cook, provided me with a fresh order of hot fries.The initial employee, ****, then reappeared at the front of the store as I was driving away. She began recording me with her phone, waving, and laughing in what I perceived as a mocking and unprofessional manner.The ongoing behavior exhibited by **** demonstrates a significant lack of customer service skills and is entirely unacceptable. Her actions of tasting a customer's food, ignoring a customer complaint, and subsequently engaging in unprofessional and confrontational behavior are deeply concerning.I request that you investigate this incident thoroughly and take appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination, for the employee involved. Such behavior does not reflect well on your company and creates a negative experience for your customers.I have video evidence of the latter part of this interaction, specifically **** recording and mocking me as I left the premises, which I can provide upon request.I look forward to your prompt response and confirmation of the steps you will be taking to address this serious issue.Business Response

I tried to use my Del Taco Rewards App that clearly states FREE Iced or ************** with ANY purchase. It does not specify a $ amount required for a purchase ONLY the words ANY purchase. On 4/4/25 at around 11:45am I went to the Del Taco, *********************************************** At the time when I went in there.I stood off to the side and sat in a booth to look over the menu.Because I got a coupon and I didn't know what to get. Then ******* and another female coworker I got called to come to the front desk and they both came out the bathroom..Then ******* got really Aggravated with me and he kept doing asking me.What do I need to order?When I was clearly all the way off to the side sitting at a booth not even at the cash register. I got very confused and I said i'm obviously not ready to order you can help another customer if they need help. Then he stepped out of the food area and to the Dining room and said what did I say and I said nothing just leave me alone. I'm looking at the menu. Last week i went to del taco to treat My parents and Buy My kids some food, the same Girl who is in the picture name i got from the manager was ****** and she took our order fine but that day she forgot My kids food i called them and told then it was too late for me to come back and the Girl whos in the pic answered the call LAUGING and the male shift manager said it was okay and gave me the ******* and fries plus a large coke for messing up for amother day, which i came back to day and Guess who gave me problems in the drive through again? This Girl! She kept saying she couldnt hear us and making us repeat ourselves when we we're clearly speaking into the speaker SO we pulled up an wanted about 10 minutes before the Girl opened the Window and asked of we order a burrito and then a quesadilla and we told her no we we're trying to order and she couldnt hear us to which the manager ran up very rude saying that we couldnt order at the Window treating me like i was a complete dummy! I told her i knew that and that the only reason we pulled up is because the Girl in the drive through was messing with us and we just wanted to order at the Window to which she was very rude then it was if she called the workers to the front because i was filming how badly they we're treating us! Finally after 30 minutes and people leaving the drive through i got My small order of chili cheese Friends and My kids friend Nuggets and a large coke they all scolded us as we drove away the Girl manager already has more than 20 complaints on ****** because of how she trains people so badly and teaches they to laugh and be rude to their customers. I Guess the customers DO NOT come first at this establoshment i Will never come here again only the one in ************ banning del taco is the worst because of that lady My mom also had that same problem with her being very rude and making the burritos with only a speck of cheese i'm tired of paying good money to get less!Business Response

On Tuesday the 14th I ordered off the app at del Taco. 20 minutes later I went to pick the order up. Upon reaching the drive-thru window I was informed the order wasn't ready yet and to drive around back and wait for the order to be brought out to me which hadn't even been started yet. At this time I canceled the order on the app. My dispute is that I was still charged 1565 after canceling the order and not receiving the food.Initial Complaint

I ordered via the Del Taco app. After an hour, I tried to call the store and no one answered. I then called the delivery support number provided in the del taco email. It ended up being Door Dash, and they told me the order had been canceled. I received the email from Door Dash saying I would get a refund. At that time the charge was pending at my bank. Del Taco should have reversed the charge/ refunded me immediately since they canceled my order. They should not have allowed the charge to process. I contacted Door Dash again today and was told Del Taco has to refund the money because it was ordered through their app and they have the payment information. I have sent messages to del taco via their app, no reply yet. I want a refund ASAP.Initial Complaint

Your app doesn't work for coupon at store employees not trained to honor coupons had food problems multiple times no tomatoes on del taco recently. No steak ,hard fish on taco's or just fish and cabbage. Shorted on change i could go on an onInitial Complaint

12/2/24 7:15 pm I went to del Taco ordered a 1# Got my food as usual looked in the bag immediately realized without unwrapping the tacos that they were the standard tacos not the del tacos that I had orderer (the size difference is noticable) Immediately went back to correct the issue at the window the shift lead of the location pulled my food out of the bag in his hand and told me I was wrong not offering to remake the food he just rewrapped it in hand and went to **** it back with no resolution or refund I was unaware that this was the type of service that I was paying for when I left my house to go to an eateryBusiness Response
