1 starThis hospital ignored multiple phone calls, voicemails, and emails to multiple departments over the course of a month. We were unable to get our cancer patient scheduled to continue her chemo treatments here where we left off in our previous home state. There is no communication and no sense of urgency. There is no one to complain to. And nothing gets done, even if you complain.Review fromKrista m

1 starThey killed my dog. Every test done before surgery, No expense spared. Great health. I loved him so much. I would pay anything to have him back. They couldnt even tell me how he died. I will never be the same. Go somewhere else pleaseReview fromMary O

1 starOne veterinarian diagnosed my dog with an orthopedic injury without performing x-rays, so I requested a referral to a specialist, who diagnosed my dog with what I had told the first veterinarian he likely had. Within this past year, my other dog was found to have a tooth fracture at a well check that the veterinarian said was several years old (there is no way she can know the age of the fracture by a cursory exam like this), and that while it increases risk of infection and it needs to be extracted, she recommends waiting 2 years to have it extracted. Also, why had the other veterinarians charging me for "wellness checks" not note this fracture, if it had been there for years? Earlier this year, I received a call out of the blue from a veterinarian asking why I had not been giving my dog his anxiety medication as prescribed. When I asked what she meant, she stated she had been performing a chart review (why, I have no idea, as this was a random call) and noted I was coming every 6 weeks instead of every 4 to pick up his medication refills. When I pointed out that this was because they were dispensing more of the medication per refill, she did not apologize for the accusation. I am a human physician, and if I practiced medicine with the level of incompetence and unprofessionalism they do here, I would lose my license.Review fromMichelle P.

1 starWe went to ********** to see the orthopedic doctor to weigh our possible options when our dog broke her leg. Surgery was a big push despite the fact it was relayed to us her damaged growth plate could be damaged further. It was explained to us her fracture was displaced. Upon second opinion this fracture was not displaced. When I received the quote for the knee surgery, I was absolutely astonished on the amount of price gauging that occurred. The procedure was 30 mins and the anesthesia was $1,000. There was also a several hundred-dollar cost for mechanical ventilation, that would highly likely not be needed. The best was the $116.00 IV pump set up fee which didnt even include the actual cost of the fluids. I had opted to go to splint route for a whooping $500.00 as our estimate for these 2 pins would cost over $6,000.00 and still wouldnt guarantee a good recovery. That that splint didnt last 24 hours even with full cage rest. It just slipped right off. I then chose to go to my vet and the $100.00 splint lasted us 10 days. Our second experience was for our puppys spay and eye entropion surgery. We were to split costs with the rescue, her anesthesia costs for her spay was $73.00- typically ballpark for a spay surgery. The extra 30 mins of anesthesia for her eyes cost us $450.00, 3x the amount for the abdominal surgery. I have a horse as well, his sedation and teeth floating with a barn visit was $100.00 less than the 30 mins of anesthesia my dog received. The attempt to nickel and dime me all along the way and then making me feel guilty for not completing items that were not fully medically necessary. Both times we visited prior to our procedure, the tech grabbed my dog for her blood work without consent or even telling me that is what they were doing. I had to stop and ask. Despite my appreciation for the doctor who completed procedure, I will not be returning to any VCA.Review fromMarie A

1 starYears ago I went to the old office and didn't stay with but couldn't remember why so when I needed a vet I thought I'd give them a second chance. What a mistake.line, they don't like to be reviewed. And when you talk to management they have an answer for everything, they will dispute you. They have been trained well in that department. ******************************* couldn't get enough tests, $$$$. ********************************************** told me when I brought my dog in with pancreatitis that I should call Royal Canin about the punctured can, that was the second vet that told me to do that, she said they are really good about helping out with bills so I called and sent everything in and waited two and a half months, they were going to call both vets, didn't happen, then emailed and said nothing was wrong with the food, so I asked for a letter stating what happened, was told since food was not tested couldn't do. Company wouldn't even acknowledge can, so now I'm a lier. The bill between two hospitals was $3165.05. Big conflict of interest since ************************ sells Royal Canin and VCA is owned by ************ who also owns Royal Canin.Hospital stay means twelve hours in twelve hours home, if there was a problem when they were home you had to take to another ER. They gave no phone number or ER to use, just left you hanging.Once you pay, last time $1600, for an appointment if you call a couple days later about the same problem they will not get back to you for close to twenty-four hours, they want you to make another appointment. Happened twice even after talked to management. Girl I talked to was so smug. While traveling around town and talking to dog trainers and clients of other VCA's have not heard anything positive about VCA. Even ****** pharmacist asked me what was wrong with this place. Management told me just a mixup. They sure have a lot. The bottom line is the bottom line. $$$$.Review fromBrittany M

1 starAfter 6 hours of simply waiting for a response from the doctor after they took our dog back, the doctor got mad that we didnt have 5 thousand dollars to let him stay overnight for no testing to be done. Once the idea was mentioned that labs and X-rays needed to be done, we agreed, even though he just had X-rays before we brought him in at his regular vet. Straight money hungry. The vet slammed the documents on the table, pushed her chair into the wall that was across the room and slammed the door. Absolutely unacceptable. We brought our pup here out of fear and she was the opposite of compassionate and caring. The WORST experience Ive ever had in my life and Id recommend never bringing a loved pet here again. If you have thousands to spend on no answers or outcomes, this is your place. If you care about your pocket and most important, your animal, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE.Review fromSam D

1 starI wouldn't even give this place a one-star rating. It's been a week since my dog died after I took him there to get him checked. The worst place to take your pet. They won't even listen to you unless you pay a $175 fee. My dog was looking weak that night so I took him to get him checked. By the time I got there my dog was back to himself again looking vibrant and walking around. However, since I was already there, I decided to get him checked. Right away you have to pay $175 fee before they even listen to what I was saying. They took him in the back, took about 20 minutes and told me he has liquid in his lungs. They said they want over $2000 to monitor him overnight. I told then I didn't have that money, so I asked what's the next option. They said they would give him an injection and give me medication. I told them, I'll take that option and bring him to my primary vet in the morning. I waited for about another hour. I couldn't understand what was taking this much time to give a dog an injection. After waiting, they came out with my dog, I notice they looked nervous. He couldn't even stand up on his own, and he couldn't hold up his head. My dog was walking around when they took him. Now he looks half dead. They told me not to worry and that the injection will wear off soon. this was around 11pm that night. I took my dog home, he never recovered and died 3 hours later. Whatever they did they killed my dog. Do not take your pet to this place.Review fromAmber H

1 starThis is the most horrible most petrifying most inhumane place ever. From the receptionist to the doctors. My husband and I took our morkie because he was no longer eating and acting weird. They took him immediately and said he is in very critical condition but can't figure out what is wrong with him. They asked to pay for testing and labor for 4 hours. **** was around $800 dollars we paid it. 2 hours later they came back saying they need to do more testing and the bill was an additional $2,000. Mind you we are vulnerable and willing to do anything for our fur baby. 3 hours later they came back saying they can't figure it out and need more testing and the cost to keep him overnight with fluids would be 8K. I said let me look at all the detailed invoices. The lady had all 3 invoice with the same exact testing the only thing going up was the labor and other weird medical wording I have no idea about. I questioned her about all the invoices and we had a debate made the math on the hours and she corrected some of it. I added That I don't understand why you still keep charging and doing the same tests if you haven't been able to figure it out. Why are you charging me the same thing, and she oh no honey im only charging you for that but I'm doing much more than that. I said I don't even know what you're even doing back there to him, or if you're even doing anything. I refused to work with them and said I need my dog back I need to take him elsewhere. they said okay but you need to pay this bill. I said I am not paying anymore give me my dog, I was crying and upset and my husband had to take over. They charged him and extra 500$ for discharge. It was the most horrible day of my life. My husband was given some medication to give to him every hour. We did that and at 3 am we lost him. I wish they would close this place down. I saw that lady be the money vacuum of that place. & care about money only!!!Review fromTeresa M

1 starRidiculous office staff knows nothing about how to create records. I called in to set up a new visit for my new puppy. Told them my sister had referred me. They asked all the questions, set up the appt but my sister got the confirmation email. I called and they had put MY PUP under HER account!! Then when I told them they needed to set up my own account they said they had to get MY SISTERS permission to remove MY PUP!!! When THEY screwed it up in the first place!! Funny how they did not need her PERMISSION to ADD another animal but needed her permission for correct THEIR MISTAKE!!Looking for another vet where the staff has some common sense!
