Ive had an account since 2009. I have never posted anything extremely political or religious or for that matter hateful in any way towards anyone. On July 1, 2022, I posted pics of my oldest Son and my Grandson wishing him Happy 24th Birthday. That was the first post I had made in quite a while. On July 5th, 2022 I started receiving email alerts saying that "I" requested a password change. I received quite a few. ******* ******, ****. Columbia, ***** ***** and others. I got a *********** alert, saying that I charged 50 cents on Facebook. I did have my credit card attached. So I called *********** to cancel the card. I even received an email saying that I tried to get into my Best Buy account and I have never had a Best Buy account. I received notifications that my ******* account had been changed to Spanish. I googled enough Spanish to change it back to English and eventually cancelled my account and removed my credit card. Then I get a notification from Facebook saying I violated community standards. I requested a review immediately, per the instructions. Nothing came of it for days, so i eventually got to the screen that says to request a review again and requested a review again. One screen, when you get to log out, tells you how many days you have left, to have a disabled account and says its under review. When it got down to 1 day, I thought that my "ban" would be lifted, but it now says that too much time has gone by and the data cant be retrieved. I requested multiple reviews and nothing. I dont know why I was banned, even though I told them that I was hacked and could provide screenshots and emails corroborating this. I didnt receive an email/notification explaining anything to me. I want my account back because I have pictures in my account of my family that I can never get back. I didnt deserve to be banned as I did nothing wrong. Even if I dont get my account back, I would just like an hour or two, to retrieve my pictures and at least an explanation.Initial Complaint

I purchased a Meta Oculus Quest 2 on May 27, 2022 and by August 5, 2022, despite no damage to the product, it has stopped working. The company has no mechanism for resolution, aside from following trouble shooting steps. I have tried all steps and it still does not work.Initial Complaint

I am very disappointed in Facebook currently. My previous Facebook account was hacked and the hacker posted something that went against community standards and my account was permanently disabled. I had used that account for almost 15 years with no violations at all. It is very obvious that I was hacked and I have proof that I was hacked, since random strangers were accepting friend requests that I did not send out and I have an email that someone was trying to change my password in the middle of the night when I was sleeping. I did everything I could to let Facebook know that I was hacked, but with no support at all from facebook, I was permanently disabled over being hacked by a hacker ONE time in 15 years. Not only did I lose my Facebook, but my Instagram that I had for 10 years was connected so it also disabled my Instagram. I lost every single memory, friend, and picture from the last 15 years of my life over ONE HACKER. I am truly devastated and disappointed that Facebook offered no support and disabled me on both Facebook and Instagram when I was clearly hacked. Again, I used Facebook for years with ZERO violations. I would like both of my old accounts back or to AT LEAST be able to get all of my pictures off my old accounts. I would like to be contacted by a live person at Facebook to see if there is any way to fix this but there is no way to speak to anyone. I am truly upset over the years worth of memories and pictures that I have lost forever over one post from a hacker. Losing every picture from the past 15 years of my life is devastating. ****** learned, never rely solely on social media to store your photos. Facebook needs to be more supportive over situations like this when clearly an account was hacked.Initial Complaint

I purchased 2 separate transactions for the oculus 2 on 7/28/22. I received an order number. A week later the person I sent to contacted me because they had not received it. It seemed my order was canceled. I contacted the company and they said to repurchase them. I explained that it was now $100 more per item. I was told they would investigate. They did investigate and said my orders were canceled in error. They said since the price went ** in August, they could not honor the price. Facebook has unpublished my business' page, without telling me why, and I believe the page is in full compliance. There is no way to contact them. After spending over $100 in advertising, Meta / Facebook disabled my advertising account for a discrepancy regarding the name on my FB account vs. my advertising account.I opened a new account so all the names would match exactly, and after spinning up the account it was also disabled after a few days.I opened up a case with them on June 22nd and they can only respond with an apology and no resolution.I opened a second case to close all my advertising accounts and business accounts on July 24th, but they are unable to delete those accounts for some reason.At this point all I want is my business accounts and ad accounts deleted from their system and my money back for what I perceive as some type of discriminatory practice against my business since they are unable to identify why they keep disabling my account(s).Initial Complaint

Unjustified disabled account, not reviewed as requested. Unable to appeal.I was unexpectedly notified that my account was disabled due to not following community standards. This is untrue. I have followed community standards through the life of the account. I was offered the opportunity to request a review. I did so the same day that I found out it was disabled well before the 30 day window. It was never reviewed. Had it been reviewed by a person, it would have been discovered that I did not post anything questionable. I opted to try and get ahold of someone, there is no email or customer service number to call to get help. I tried contacting them through a hacked account thread as none of the options they auto suggest work. I went through the hacking and securing the account and was asked to upload ID. Of which I did. I was then told they could not review the account because it was after the 30 days. The account is still disabled. I did nothing wrong and now 50 years worth of family memories, photos, and contacts are unavailable to me, I had no cloud back-up. I am only seeking reactivation. I did not do anything wrong. If someone would check the account they would see that. I have no option to appeal either. I was getting stuck at checkpoint until after the 30 days had past. Then I tried to reactivate and secure and was told it was too late for a review? That makes no sense.Initial Complaint

Today, 8/6/2022, I recieved an email stating I was suspended from Facebook. I've owned a facebook account for countless years, but rarely actually post. I've done nothing to break Facebooks terms and conditions. Like most people I use facebook to communicate with family. The reason for this BBB complaint is lack of customer support. I've used ******************** for ads, communication, and buisnesss purposes before. I haven't recently, but preventing me from accessing my account with no solution affects not only my personal life but my buisness as well. That being said, attached is a photo of facebooks system preventing me from going through their internal system. I'm simply asking for Facebook (Meta) to provide a solution for their internal system that currently when I log in to "Identify myself" with my phone number, the system errors out and states "Error performing query". I recieved ****** as my verification code 4 times before it stated I'm no longer able to recieve the verification code until another 24 hours of waiting. Without a human Facebook agent reviewing my case, by default their system will delete my account after 30 days. I see this as entirely unfair that facebook doesn't have support in anyway, will delete my account after 30 days over a violation they haven't explained or that I did, and will affect my personal and professional life. At the very least, please review the internal error the system is providing that prevents me from even having a fighting chance of keeping my 15+ year account. There are countless family members I'll lose touch with, unless the account is restored.Initial Complaint

Ok so back on July 6th of 2022 my Facebook account was dissolved and I contacted them a week or two ago to get it back and they said there wasnt enough data to retrieve my account but the thing is they didnt give me anything to tell them it was my account and now its permanently disabled I had people that I havent spoken to in years on that account and it was my only account and now I cant access it at all they said Im looking for compensation either get my account back or I want ***** dollars due to inconvenience and not doing there job. My facebook name is ************************** A scammer try to log into my account in Facebook locked my account, I have verify my identity 20 times and every time I get a link and Ill try to confirm its mean it always brings me to a page that says sorry something went wrong and were working on it. I have tried to do this 20 times and no answer the one time I was able to get through it said my account was unlocked but I am still unable to log into my account. I have emailed 50 times, spoken to support agents 30 times, still nothing. I have showed proof and gotten unlock but they still keeping my account locked illegally.
