I have reached out to Facebook/ Meta Company to have 2 old social media accounts deleted because I no longer want to be on social media however my emails and phone numbers have changed and I dont recall my log in information. I tried the companies suggested recover account information however that does not work and did not work. I called the company directly and asked them to assist however I was told the numbers and emails I provided were not associated with my account. I just want my old accounts deleted from there app and thats it! I dont see the harm in deleting these since they belong to me! It is impossible to get in touch with someone who is able to assist me!Initial Complaint

I am seeking to have some accounts removed that I created. I have had an attorney send a letter (not retained), I've sent 2 letters and I attempted to take this matter through the Court but was Denied and Dismissed with Prejudice. After speaking with an attorney, I was informed that I could file a complaint through the BBB for seeking assistance with this matter. On 7/24/2022 I was charged $3 by Facebook ads without permission, without any value or product provided, and without any explanation. I found the charge on my debit card. When I reached out to facebook to ask for a refund on 7/24/22 at 7pm, I was asked repeatedly for the same proof, which I provided (a screenshot of the charges, including my ad account number). I repeatedly provided the same information. When asked why I needed to provide it multiple times, the technician said, "because it's easier if you do it than I look at the image you provided". I was given no explanation of why I was charged, no apology, and no offer for refund, and no information on why I was charged without permission. The technician closed the chat with no explanation after I was told I would need to wait 2 days for an email on my "appeal" of the charges.Initial Complaint

I am a buyer of Facebook marketplace. In April 2022, I was scammed by three sellers for a total of $990. These sellers offered shipping service and had asked for prepaid shipments and had also asked if I would be able to pay outside the platform, and I had agreed upon doing so. Yes that was my fault on agreeing upon those terms and conditions. But what my problem is is that they allow scammers on the platform while offering E-******** Services. Also, anyone can become with a seller with a fake profile, they do not protect their consumers at all. Also, they have awful buyer and seller protection. I bought a jersey and used their ecommerce platform, and it wasn't as advertised. I filed a claim and they did not honor their purchase protection guidelines. Additionally, if a buyers claim gets approved, they will automatically refund the buyer without any questions or verification asked. This can be used to scam sellers. Such business practices should not be tolerated. As I mentioned earlier, I lost $960 off two scammers. (My bank was able to recover from one of the scammers), I feel like facbeook should be responsible, because they do not protect their consumer. I would like that $960 from them.Initial Complaint

Facebook Security Team,On Friday, a hacker, using a phone number from ********, hacked my 15 year old account, which always had this email. I responded within minutes and uploaded ID, *************************'s scanner took 20 minutes to scan and then rejected. I uploaded my ******** driver's license, my ** Passport and my ******* passport. My simple request was to restore the email that has been on the account for 15 years and delete the Mongolian hacker's. Facebook shamefully rejected all the IDs as "too blurry" and do not givethe option to upload by phone. I am willing to have a video conference call with Meta employees to ascertain my identity and am willing to send whatever reasonable documents by email, but this needs to be resolved.Calls to Facebook customer service line remain unanswered. Please fix this disgraceful conduct and complete lack of care for someone who has been on Facebook for 15 years, someone who has placed ads on Facebook and runs community pages and for any other Facebook customers who are being exposed to this hacker through my account without my permission. If Facebook does not resolve this issue and continue this shameful conduct, I will send a press release showing that a 15 year old account can be taken over by a Mongolian hacker and that Facebook will do nothing to resolve the issue other than put up more hurdles and problems.Initial Complaint
